OMG, TY so much. Now i can improve my game even more. Also are my ears bad or did i hear fumo thank souji "oniichan" in the fumo vs kyaku vid at the end?
-
Doesn't matter, u gave us info on the other moves that were correct, that's all we could ask for honestly.
-
Looks like the japanese wiki I translated was pratically 100% correct.
-
is there a video of someone doing a 7k bird combo? I've seen it do 5k or maybe 5.5k, but not 7k.
-
Apparently, the combo i wanted to test out actually works and gains about 70% guage while comboing into our beam super. Someone test out the damage please. Its this one that i posted 3C>236236C>5D>jc>JA>JC>JD

not sure if u guys looked, but on the japanese wiki, they have some of the combos for ara down. I translated as best as i can. not to scare u guys, but with a matchup chart looking like this: \ | Ragna|| Jin || Noel || Tager || Taokaka || Rachel || Arakune || Litchi || Carl || Bang || Hakumen || Lamda || Tsubaki || Hazama| 棒| 5.0 || 5.5 || 6.0 || 7.0 || 5.5 || 7.0 || 7.0 || -.- || ?.? || 5.0 || 5.5 || 5.5 || 6.0 || 5.5 | I'm pretty sure if nothing changes, it'll really end up looking like what u see for the top 3 in CT in terms of match finding.
-
i'm goin need someone to help me check out this combo and its damage along with Irrsinn. It worked in CT too. j4b>5a>5a>236236c 3c>236236c both require 50% tension. I'm hoping both would be viable options when in uncursed mode for damage. Also, it's possible that u could chain in a 5d if u space correctly after laser super.
-
I'm pretty sure the ara vs litchi matchup will be in her favor now. This is one that I'm very positive on. My reasoning for this is that in CT, the matchup was 4.5-5.5 in aras favor. However, now with her buffs and aras nerfs, I'm almost sure its in her favor.
-
Indeed, story was so epic, it made me tear a little =.( Poor a bug and his suicidal tendencies. If only someone would give him a christmas present.
-
no, because u barrier first, then press the other 2 buttons, it doesn't register as a burst. It only registers if u do it too fast.
-
The reason I'm telling u this is because Litchi has great air to air options that are really really hard to beat out, and flying towards her while cursed with 6 a/b/c will sometimes get u killed. Which is why u should be baiting her to do something by waiting a little until she moves.

Skye, ur ara looks much much much better than the other vids u posted before. I see a lot of setups and tricks in this vid. One thing that i do believe that every ara should learn though is to negative edge or buffer bugs from a barrier. For example, at 0:54, u had litchi cursed, but really didn't want to throw out 2d bug or 5c as they're pretty laggy moves. What i would suggest since she's cursed is to barrier back with ab (hold them) and press the other two buttons dc (also hold them) a milli sec apart, after this, u should wait for ur opponent to move. If they're on the floor and slightly move, release c bug and the other bugs a milli sec later. What this does is that the c bug usually will stun them giving time for ur b bug to pick them up, and finally ur d bug will swoop down to do multihits on them. The a bug is used as insurance in case they jump. The great part about doing this is that u don't need to put urself in any danger of beating out moves once they are cursed. Now, some ppl will spam 2d along with all the other buttons, but there are holes in bug spamming since they can iad towards u and punish. This can be used at a concentrated point. If u see them far away, negative edge barrier back and aim at them with 3 and release. If they catch onto u concentrating them at far distances and run up, since sometimes the bugs will be slower to come out than their dash, then change the direction to 2 or 1. Once an opponent is cursed, they should never be moving. In some of fumo's vids that u posted, u can see him doing the same negative edge barrier back against tagers and hakus to break their guard. U can do the same thing to most characters if u find them dashing towards u or jumping while they are cursed. The multihits will deter them from trying to move much. I'm saying this because most good aras will not be bugs spamming with 2d, but will be trying to find ways to beat out moves and such while opponents are cursed and moving. Most opponents will not be able to read that ur actually summoning bugs since ur just barriering. This is espicially good against ppl who block and wait for ur curse to run out and try to find openings. Many ppl are used to 2d bug spam, and if ur not spamming, will rush towards u or start moving, use their millisecond of foolishness to remind them that they are cursed with c bug into bd bug. There aren't enough vids of fumo doing this to prove how useful it is to barrrier back negative edge. It takes some time to get it down, and u'll probably have a few matches where u will accidentally burst instead of negative edging, but learning this is so useful against ppl who wait and block from far away.

Really? I actually like arakune dittos, it gives me a chance to see where my characters own weakness lies in. It'd be even better if u could somehow implement ur own fighting patterns into the system and have a bout with urself to see how vulnerable u r. Well Skye, at least u know why ppl hate on arakune since it's ur absolute worst matchup rite?

first vid: 0:22 you should jc ur aa into j6a> ja> jc> jd> bc bug> 6c loop. 0:26 this is a guaranteed curse since u werent inside his dp hitbox at all, u should do 2d> bc bug> 6c loop. 0:41 after 6b u should summon cloud instead of rush since he's so far away, also no cloud was out beforehand making this option even better 2:01 same deal with ur aa, although he was about to die anyways, jus cancel ur aa into j6a> ja> jc> jd> bc bug> 6c loop. An interesting fact about the aa jc is that u can neglect the j6a and go straight into ja for more dmg. The j6a seems to prorate the combo like 200 dmg. I've tested this out in training mode and seen fumo do 5c> jc.> ja... instead of 5c> jc.> j6a> ja. However, its hardder to do imo. second vid: 0:27 after j6a/b/c u should cancel into ja> jc> jd for free curse instead of dmg. The nu is in the corner, so its even better to have her cursed. 1:55 after the j6a/b/c, fill it in wit a ja if ur worried shes going aa. Also, you could ja/b/c> 44 >jd to catch them offguard doing an aa. 2:31 It's a ch j2a/b/c, im sure u kno how to cancel this into a 6c loop. Other than that, get the timing of that bc bug down so u can get into the recurse after those 6c loops.

This was why i made ara the ex. he later posted this It wasn't meant to be a random comparison, sorry for the misinterpretation.
-
The same could be really said for ara in the defense department, and he has 4 guard primer compared to 3 for nu. Once pressured, ara doesn't have many close option cept backdash. Honestly, i'd rather take the 3-4 backdash over 1 more guard primer. Negative penalty means u take 1.5x more dmg when comboed, 1 less guard primer means they have to do 1 less guard break move to go for a combo.
-
don't complain about her negative penalty seriously, it takes ara 2 backsteps to get neg pen warning and 3-4 for lambda.
