Was tryin to find the most damaging bang combo...with 10stars 6500~ in mind couldnt do it =/ but got j.D > 6A > 623B > 2B > 623B > 623B > Daifunka RC > 6D > 9236D = 5950~dmg j.D > 6A > 623B > 2B > 623B > 623B > FRKZ activate > daifunka > 5B = 6150~dmg food for thought if these arent known all combos work on the entire cast except bang and carl, timing is really tight on ara and tager for bang you can do somethign goofy like j.D l> 623B (while they're bouncing from a j.D counterhit...lol)> 2B > 623B > daifunka
  2. i'm sorry, i thought you were looking for advice, were we supposed to praise you for your fine play? or can we not call a spade a spade edit: i'm going to try to phrase this in a way you can't really disagree with WITHOUT A DOUBT- you dropped all your combos...all of them. Now you say you did this on purpose, thats fine i guess, but if you're giving it to us to critique we of course have to point out that this is an issue that does not correlate with what the majority believes is correct play. Therefore I say you need to work on your BnBs...that is my reasoning WITHOUT A DOUBT- you spammed punishable moves and constantly threw yourself in harms way. You say you did this because the carl was so bad, BUT as the critiquing party who tries to give advice as to correllate with what the majority believes is the correct type of play. You should strive to desist in doing that which would normally get you punished if played against a better carl. Playing safe against bad people will go farther in playing safe against good people than rushing in mindlessly. Yes or no?

  4. 1) thats...i dont really do star wars references 2) by sticking to bnb's but still going to training mode you learn when and how to maximize damage. By doing the combos and finishing them you reinforce what you know, and playing bang it sets up your mix-up game. The more you experience it the more you learn the more you know the more you will be able to apply it. Saying you werent doing combos because you wanted to see how he reacts...plz dont lie 3) you were mindlessly throwing yourself inbetween him and nirvana every chance you had. If you werent doing a ridiculously unsafe 3C you were doing a j.D behind where you should be aiming. Luckily for you the carl can't do any combos so its a close match. edit: those are my colors
  5. ^ agreed and bang IS ass for tager, just not nearly as bad as nu/ara or even rachel imo. (i also dont know what you're smoking if you think he goes even with jin...when does jin ever have to be in a position to get hit)
  6. i wouldnt put it down like that, it has its uses, I know sometimes you can hitconfirm a counter hit into j.D on people who like to mash, if nothing else you can use shurikens to set up some neat mix-ups afterwards

  8. and i agree with simplekiss no one here said hakumen was at his finest with < 3 stars, no one even said they preferred it that way, they just said you can hurt and we're not gonna pass up that opportunity if given the chance to be offensive early on

  10. Logically speaking, if the game is unbalanced and you have an opportunity to balance it...why wouldn't you? MVC2 isn't going to get balanced at this point, its a decade old and no one cares. Melee isn't going to get balanced, its on gamecube. Brawl isn't going to get balanced....oh wait...no...there's this thing called Brawl+ that's getting more and more popular. If I recall correctly they nerfed and buffed certain characters and match-ups. Tekken isn't going to get patched...oh wait no, there's that whole dark resurrection and bloodline rebellion thing isn't there...Arcana certainly won't get patched...wait...no I was wrong again, they patched both iterations of this game to fix certain broken characters. Well certainly Blazblue won't get patched, there's absolutely no way if all these other games didn't deserve a patch that the developers would never figure out a way to fix it.
  11. as in throw you out of the move? no he can't, but he can throw you during your long ass recovery if he blocks it and i thought only his 360A and 720C throws could eat a burst? iono I do know that if he's mashing either of those moves he can throw you out of a meaty cross-up j.4C....bulllllllshiiiiiiiiit, so I've had to learn to watch for that. I played Sol in guilty gear so I love this match as on Tager and a few others you get to do a nice little sidewinder loop 5b > 2B > 6C > j.623B > 2B > 623B > 66 6C > j.623B if you start with 5A or a jump attack though, the second 623B won't connect so you do something like j.4C > 5B > 2B > 6C > j.623B > 2B > 6C > j.B > j.C > j.623B which does the same/better damage but just isn't as cool
