Just wanted to stop by to let you guys know that I've learned alot from this thread. I've tried out all of the characters and Nanase is my favourite for how she plays, but her part in the story is pretty lame. Yuzu is my favourite for personality though.

I've since been able to get a few games in here and there. But the connection is pretty bad, even in EU lobbies. This game is close to death but not completely dead yet.

Where is everybody? UNIEL released in the USA Feb 24th and EU Feb 27th. I started playing this game March 6th. Today is Mar 14th and I decided to try playing a Ranked Match for the first time. Its a saturday and I tried playing between 10-11am. In a popular game there would be alot of people online to play against. I was not able to find a game I could play. Less than 5 possible matches showed up and all of them bad connection. This was without any filters on the search. I tried waiting in training mode aswell and didn't get matched up. In player match there are very few lobbies every open. I've hosted a few myself and thats how I've gotten by these last two weeks. And even there I just see the same 10 names everyday. My goodness - shouldn't the place be a bit more busy? For a game that just came out this is astonishing. I get that some people got it early from Asia but come on now. This game is being sold on the USA and EU Playstation store now. Why isn't anybody biting? Its a really great game. I feel like I've wasted the last two weeks trying to learn the basics. I should have jumped into Ranked Mode the day I got it. Anybody got any thoughts on this? Sigh

Actually you guys are right. This game is dead I can see that now. Sorry I didn't notice because I've only been creating my own player matches so far online. I went to search for other lobbies and there are only ever 2 or 3. And at least one of those will be Japanese. Then I went to play Ranked mode and found zero matches to play. Only two were available which were zero 0 for connection. I don't understand how this game is dead on arrival. Which 2D fighter has an active online right now? I've already played USF4 and Blazblue Calamity Trigger years ago.

How can this game be dead when it just came out two weeks ago?

Add me please. PSN DarkChildOfLight. I'm new and inexperienced. I don't see many other players with a blue card like I have. I thought this game just came out in the USA and EU? I've been playing against people who really seem to know what they are doing even though it says they've used their character 0 - 20 times. Where are the real newbies?

You play so many characters across this game and other fighters and you went to a local event. Are you really a noob? I've not won too many matches yet since I got the game last weekend. Out of 100 or so fights I've probably won less than 30. They put a blue square next to my name. I've heard thats bad. Anyway, I'm looking to add and play with more people since I'm having fun learning this game. Add me please.

Arakune for Spirited away. Rachel for the funny stuff she says in english and she sounds fun in Japanese. Hakumen for ease of use.

I finally have some Hakumen videos to show. I know I lack hoptu or whatever its called. I can't do the 66 214 b/c stuff at all at all. Anyway, please give me some advice. I lost to a Noel in Player match yesterday who only used D. Does this make me a scrub? I hope not as its the first time its been used so much on me and as usually when I tried to counter I got countered and when I tried to block I got hit by another angle. So 5a beats drives you say? Can I spar with you Dragontamer soon? I'd appreciate if you could show me a few basic things to look out for in Noel players and teach me what Haku can do to counter it. Especially the D spammers. I was able to beat this Noel a few times but only when she didn't get close enough to spam D.

I've decided not to upload the video of me doing Rachel's Astral. I was just too horrid. You guys would ask for 5mins of your life back. I must do better.

Hey I'm quite new to the game. Started using Rachel 3 days ago and Hakumen yesterday. Before that I was with Arakune who got me to LEvel 17. I got to Level 20 using Hakumen but I'm pretty much a nub. Any good Haku's wanna teach me some stuff? I've seen a few combos and the guy has tonnes of combos. I wanna know which ones are best and most effective for the number of stars you have and I really need some good stuff for when I only have one or two stars. Please add me on PSN. Mr_Flowers_-

You guys are awesome! I managed to use Rachels Astral heat on someone who was around my level. I'll record it and upload it tomorrow.

Thanks for the great tips you guys. AS for recording video I just using a normal digital camera that has a basic video recording feature. The video that I showed you was uploaded by the guy I played. He has some equipment to get it straight onto a computer but he can't play the game on HD quality on the TV at the same time. I put my camera on a stack of books. I would love to see your videos you guys so I can see this stuff in action. Thanks

Thanks man! I learned all those combos you mentioned but I can't get a chance to use them Especially the combos that stem off of 6a. Everyone keeps dash rushing into me with either a low hit/grab/strong attach and I don't know how to stop them. Also, how comes I still get hit when I'm blocking? Even when I'm blocking with the barrier? And how do I escape the corner? I get raped to death in the corners. Attack or defend I still lose. Rachel seems way harder than arakune who can just teleport away.
