  1. HAHAHAHAHA Mike Z will appreciate this one.
  2. http://d.hatena.ne.jp/video/niconico/sm9087735 GOD LIKE. Wait for the second match, Tager vs. Noel, too good. I think that's Galileo.
  3. If your opponent jumps away and barrier guards after Gadget Finger, and you throw out a 6A, can you cancel it into Atomic Collider before he falls to low?
  4. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL What a fucking scumbag. You should have told him off.
  5. The whiff j.D is there to pull your opponent closer to you; it allows you to combo after your late j.2C.
  6. You might want to read the bottom part of the post you quoted. It hasn't arrived yet. And the boss ordered the Continuum Shift board, which will go into the pre-existing Calamity Trigger cab. Edit: TGS, would you mind bolding or highlighting the part of the post that states it hasn't arrived yet?
  7. I can test whatever you guys like in a couple of weeks.
  8. Discover some Gadget Cancel infinites, GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGO Oh, and test your theory about buffering 720 in the cool-down frames of barrier guard!
  9. Awesome, we'd get to meet! :D There are so many new faces from Ontario posting in this thread, it makes me so glad. Continuum Shift will have a thriving community and see lots of steady play, which might persuade the boss to bring the price down sooner. For out-of-towners who are looking to make their trip worthwhile, I suggest you come on Friday night for the biggest turnout of players. If you've never been to an arcade before, I promise you, your first Friday night at Gety will be nothing short of magical. The atmosphere is like nothing you've ever experienced before in gaming. Not even tournaments come close to describing it. You might find there's pressure to do well, considering a loss means you have to wait to play again and everyone is watching you, but don't let it discourage you from coming. It's part of what makes arcades so awesome. You have the tense, competitive atmosphere of a tournament coupled with a sense of community and camaraderie. People are more than willing to help you expand your game; in fact, the best way to improve is to ask a lot of questions.
  10. It looks like Jan discovered a new mix-up option after 360+A, might be character specific. At 2:34 he does 360+A, 5B, 4D. The Ragna player neutral teched and Jan pulled him in with Atomic Collider, but didn't follow up with anything. Maybe if you time it properly or hold it for longer, Ragna will pop up beside you for a mix-up. Either way, it's guaranteed magnetism after a 360+A and a way to throw your opponent a curveball.
  11. I'm glad 360+A stayed the same, because as Mike Z said a while ago, it's better to have invincibility during the grab attempt than at start up.
  12. Lovegety Station 505 Highway 7 East Thornhill, Ontario, Canada Arcade Hours: Variable. Usually 3 pm to 3 am. Number of Cabs: 1 Type of Cab: Japanese style link cabinet Joystick Equipment: Sanwa Price: $1 The game is expected to arrive around mid-December for us.
  13. At about 5:16 of this video, Tager attempts a 360+A after instant blocking Rachel's 3C, but she hits him out of it (you can hear the whooshing). It seems like Tager is still vulnerable for the first few frames like in Calamity Trigger, unlike what we originally thought. Unless this is old news. Maybe Tager tried a 360+B for all I know, but I imagine it was an A-Buster. Edit: Tager players in Japan are finally exploring the potential of Gadget Finger, and they're violating people with it.
  14. Dude, you're better than Japanese Hazamas. Keep it up!

  15. Footage of Jan playing Continuum Shift!
  16. Shit, this match up is already really hard for Tager...
  17. Spirit Juice posted an easier to read version of the match up chart, but it stretches the screen.
  18. I never hated Arakune, Rachel, Carl or Nu players, no one's forcing me to play Tager . The match up is a lot more even now though; you actually have to work and I don't have to work so hard.
  19. Here's an early match up chart posted by ryokoalways. It's interesting to see that Tager now has a favourable match up against Nu :lol: If you're putting it in the guide, be sure to date it so we can compare the evolution of match ups in the future: Tager Match-up diagram: In this order- Ragna(darkness), Jin(ice), Noel(gun), Tager(magnetism), Taokaka(cat), Rachel(umbrella), Arakune(Bug), Litchi(staff), Carl(neesan), Bang(ninja), Hakumen(face), Nu(nu), Tsubaki(wtf does that kanji have to do with anything), Hazama(snake) \ |闇|||氷|||銃|||磁|||猫|||傘|||蟲|||棒|||姉|||忍|||面|||Λ|||溜 |||蛇| 磁|4.0||4.5||5.5||-.-||4.0||6.5||5.0||4.0||3.5||3.5||4.5||6.0||6.0||4.5 | vs ragna- Nerf on backstep, Ragna's staying firepower and same defensive problems. Disadvantage vs jin- Problems remain from CT. Damage reduction turns this into slight disadvantage. vs noel- Noel's good moves got nerfed, but still has trouble facing off against Noel's air moves. But better AA and D moves along with sledge makes this slight advantage. vs Taokaka- If you can catch tao, there is no problem, big if. Disadvantage. Rachel- nerfed to hell. Can reversal on reaction to many of rachel's zone moves. Big advantage. Arakune- Depends on who gets magnetism/curse out. Arakune has firepower advantage, but magnetism limits arakune's already limited movement options. Even Litchi- still hard match-up, Litchi also got better at close combat. Disadvantage. Carl- Stuck inbetween carl and nirvana still suck ass, so no major change here. Big disadvantage. Bang- better pressure off neutral, new super, furinkazan, nail pressure. Probably worst match-up thus far. Big disadvantage/ Hakumen- Hard to get in range, but spark's faster charge helps greatly. AA got better too. Slight disadvantage. Nu- If tager gets in he can win in one go. Nu's firepwoer decrease also helps. Advantage. Tsubaki- easy to lock down, reversal is projectile property, low firepower, low reach. currently advantage Hazama- can't keep up on wake-up (in defensive position), hard to track down. But low firewpower. Currently slight disadvantage.
  20. I know you didn't, I remember you mentioning that before. Cool, as long as she's still fun, that's important. And I'll have an easier time with the match up so it works out for the best.
  21. Hey Eric, Nu is still an easy mode, god tier character, excited?
  22. So that means we can treat Gadget Finger like a blocked B-Sledge, both of them give the same advantage on block.
  23. I'm in as well, for Continuum Shift. Are you sure we'll have it by then? When is the second shipment scheduled to drop?
  24. The arcade near me will be getting Continuum Shift in mid-December so I'll be contributing as much as I can by answering questions, recording videos and testing out any theories you guys might have about what Continuum Shift Tager is capable of. Because you can't jump out of barrier guard anymore, Mike Z suggested that you'd be able to buffer a 720 out of the cooldown frames of barrier guard. I will be testing this first.
