  1. Yea, it was a nice match, too bad Dora took out Ren's whole team though Btw, never found any info on when/why he quit in CT (or if he even did it at all), are you making an educated guess that he has quit because of his frequency in video-appearances or have you got any other information? just curious myself, don't want to see my favourite jin stop playing.
  2. You should check out the few Buppa videos that are out there, still as fun to watch as ever, just wish there were more footage of him playing, don't know why there are so few - maybe he's taking a break or someting Btw in the latest videos posted in the general forum, there is a match between a jin and litchi (http://d.hatena.ne.jp/video/niconico/sm9242733), and it says it is Nisepatchi, but all videos of him so far have had him in white/blue colours and this one uses purple. Anyone who knows?
  3. Thanks for the input, I was just so curious because it's a move i see very rarely in vids or online. If they have not changed it, might the reason for the wider use be that Jin lost some of his older "tricks" for putting on pressure? And I see what you mean with people being cautious after 6B, but how come someone like Ragna dont just use 2A which beats Jins or straight up infernal divider (which punishes 6B even if canceled into j.236D or ice car i think?)?
  4. Does anyone know/remember the 4k+ dmg cornercombo that Jin can do? Saw it several days ago (think it was dennou or pachi), maybe there are several but I've only seen one 4k+ combo this far. Could it be 6C(counter)> 6C > 623B > j.C > j.2C > j.D > 214D > 6C > 214C ? (seen in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDTRzrGZpNQ at 3:34)
  5. Just when I thought Jin had become boring to watch, we get to see buppa ^^ @PozerWolf Is 6B really 0 on block? Both kaqn and (especially) buppa seem to rely much on 6B in strings, sometimes even do two in a row.
  6. dennou (Jin) vs nisepachi (Jin) http://www.youtube.com/user/sibladeko#p/u/2/BSCpGTWVw8w dennou (Jin) vs hima (Arakune) naru (Bang) vs dennou (Jin) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyLCz7R-YmE Dennou(jin) vs Shadow(bang) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI4D4N0hPU0
  7. I see what you mean, but it feels like the gamble goes both ways. An absurd thing happend two nights in a row when I faced a Ragna who actually did most of his damage from wakeup positions. What I mean by that is that I had no real trouble pressuring him and landing a combo OR defending his attacks BUT whenever I got a knockdown on him it would lead to a guessing-game he would win most of the time, which also resulted in bigger combos then mine and thus ultimately winning the round/match. Either Ragna would do infernal divider or he would roll behind me and do hell's fang at wakeup. This meant that even when I tried to wait/bait out infernal divider I risked getting a hell's fang unless I was fast enough to block on the other side of me. The problem I have been having is getting passive and reacting after a knockdown instead of being proactive and keeping the pressure up. Are the best options at Ragnas wakeup to either do 5B/5A (and hope he doesnt do ID) or block?
  8. So there is no other way then just anticipating a divider and punish? Even though merely a beginner I used to use 5B to get them to either neutral roll(tech?) and block or roll away from me, which puts me in a good position of controlling the match. But with Ragna (and a few others i suppose) getting a knock down does not help me much, either he uses infernal divider, which they often cancel and from there continue attacking OR he rolls in any direction he wants because he knows I'm usually to afraid to use 5B. Having the advantage after a knockdown helped me a great deal in matches, without it I have a lot harder time pressuring. Another thing I was wondering about was Ragnas 2A, is there a good way of getting around it besides not being predictable with jump-ins?
