  1. Nice combo. It looks more stylish than the combos I do with Eigen. Here's my optimized Eigen corner combo thus far: 5A > 5C > 5D > 66 j.C > 5A > 5C > 22C > 5C x 22C > j.A > j.C > 214C Does about 2.8k: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDH57Mr8HlQ Also, the stage I'm playing on is a secret stage. I'm guessing it is an easter egg since normally it is hidden, but if you press C twice during stage selection, two extra, playable stages appear. The other stage looks pretty terrible and I never play on it though. heh
  2. Since you use MP for basically everything (i.e. special moves, EX moves, supers), I think MP is more importantly firstly than voltage. Even if you are super low on MP, you still can build voltage by spamming normal attacks. Spamming 5A builds meter the second fastest besides spamming special moves. The only time you actually lose voltage is when characters take away your voltage points (it is a type of offensive and voltage burst trait) by hitting you or using your voltage to do supers or EX moves. Voltage always you to do more damage with supers and EX moves. Also it allows you to do voltage burst which does many good things for you like: -regain some of your red health back -acts like a roman cancel for your special moves -gives you access to your special character trait -allows you to build more voltage -allows you do use your super -refills your MP -helps you get out of block stun and just defends If you want tighter and longer pressure strings, you don't need to play a character who has special moves that give plus on block. If you press D after your normal move hits or is blocked, you cancel that normal move into the style switch animation. It works well like a rebeat from Melty Blood. Using style cancels with C normals works great because those attacks usually have a lot of hit and block stun, which give large enough frame advantage to extend block strings and combos. However, I don't think pressure strings are not very safe in this game. Perhaps moves that have clash frames or multiple hits are safer, but strings purely made up of normal attacks will get punished hard by just defend and block stun cancel techniques.   5. Damn that juggle is intense. I didn't know that the second part of 6BB could be followed up with a real juggle, when it is used in a juggle, or that 5AA links into 2C. Cool.

Does less damage but gives a knockdown. 623HP st.HP 623HP sj.HP Super jump midscreen allows for a post combo mixup. 623HP 214EX~214HP 623HK Corner only. 623HP 214EX~214HP 3HK Corner only, character depended. Nets slightly more damage. 623HP 623HK Corner only. Use 623EX and/or 214214HK for more damage. 623HK 214214K Use for max damage. Use 623EX instead for slightly more damage. st.HP/c.HP 214LP~HP 3HK Midscreen combo. Gives a knockdown but is range dependent. st.HP/c.HP 214LP~HP cl.HP/st.HP/sj.HP Guaranteed at any range. Does slightly more damage. st.HP/c.HP 214EX~HP 3HK Nets high damage but is character depended. st.HP/c.HP 214LP~HP 623HK Corner combo for optimal for damage.   10. Reminds me a lot of Gunz Online or S4 league, but looks better. Destructible buildings are pretty cool. I wonder what hardware it uses.
  11. The scene here for this game is pretty dead. A couple months after CT was released, most of its players went back to SF and other Capcom games. The release of CS didn't make a much of a splash and failed to bring most players back. The last tourney I went to that had this game got only 3-4 entries, IIRC. Basically in this state, anything that isn't KOF or Capcom doesn't get played much. However though, there are BB players both here and on SRK. One very big reason why CS doesn't get played much, I think, is because there isn't a single BB player here who has enough passion to consistently try to network and organize for offline meets and casuals. You can try your luck at GnG: Combo Breaker though. It's gonna be a pretty big tournament, with outsiders visiting, so there's a good chance that there will be more players/competition.
  12. The announcer in GGAC always reminded me of Norman MacDonald. The Rumble Fish 2 probably is my favorite announcer for any fighting game. The announcer has the right amount of enthusiasm in her voice, and seems to speak perfect English.

  15. I don't know if there's anyone here to wake up. I've been on this website for years and I haven't really seen any players from MN here on dloop. This was most definitely the case for Guilty Gear, and maybe BBCT. If you're looking for players, SRK is your best bet like I said. Don't be discouraged by all the SF talk. The MN scene has always been mostly Capcom, but other games do get played (KOF, Garou, etc.). There are BBCS players on SRK, but it might hard to notice since they are also SSF4 players. People are willing to play different games here, you just have to ask.

  23. lol Kristoph, I'd ask where exactly you're from in MN, but there's no point since everyone plays in the Twin Cities. I'd still be willing to play some BB, but honestly I find CT to be too boring to play, and that game kind of killed the series for me. I haven't read up on CS, but I'm already not that interested in the game. I could really go for some GG action though. It's been too long since I've last played it with human beings.
