  1. I've started using my arcade stick this weekend and went into a bit of training with Litchi. Thanks to the stick I can perform more command moves easily (particularly 623D and 632146D, almost in a snap), so I don't have to rely on that right thumbstick (and hence be able to execute Distortion Drives in Ranked Matches). Just wondering though, something I've been testing is this: right after a ground throw I do a 623D[m] (aka Tsubame Gaishi), and it looks like a nice combo start, in fact at the moment 623D[m] is so far the only attack I can do very quickly after a throw that can really land a hit (somehow even simple A/B/C attacks don't connect - the opponent gets flung too far for them to connect and I have to pursue or wait for him to come down). Is this advisable or actually something I should be careful with?
  2. Just did a test game just for fun on my copy of WinMugen after downloading a recently made Level pack. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99QE4yF5aeI Watch Mode, Team Game/Simulataneous, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Venus VS Wolverine and Spiderman Level/Arena: prototype Orient Town level, downloaded from here http://mugenrevolution.webng.com/stages.html (though I made a few changes, like removing the Verticalfollow and associating the track "Oriental Flower" to the level as its default BGM).
  3. I assume this is a reply to me? That would be nice but I couldn't find Shoma for WinMugen anywhere.
  4. Oh man I really miss these games. I was fortunate to get the Japanese versions of RS:UBF (v2) and PJ, so I could try the character creation modes - I made a whole slew in RS - try imaging a girl doing Gan's "Gun stabbing" super or his "flail" (along with his evil laugh XD); PJ's was harder to use. The local arcades also had them. As for my preferred PJ team: Zaki (frontline; she's the only one I managed to do successful combos with) Shoma (backup/secondary; a sort of little bruiser if Zaki can't handle the situation) Chairperson (support; her teamup technique is the best) On a related note, I also have Hinata and Kyosuke in my copy of WinMugen.
  5. Yes, her full name is Natalia Glinka.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8H5RGZXta8 Wait till 0:12 when the scene shifts. She's the one with short cropped blonde hair and wearing a pink-and-black suit and a big laser cannon-like thing on her left arm.
  7. Indeed a nasty grappler (in fact Lilith's grapples were the almost the only way I could beat the final boss Hilda when playing her), if only she wasn't such an annoying brat. (I still can't get her "Baka! Baka! BAKAAAAA!" yell out of my head) Already mentioned in my earlier post: Kaede (for her screenwide dash attacks, plus she's one hot meganekko, and that skirt of hers with cutouts on the sides...) Glinka (also a hottie for not wearing a skirt, plus her "butt attacks" make me laugh. And it seems to me she's Russian?)
  8. Yeah Windows PC only.
  9. Downloaded the game myself after reading about it in another forum. In a sense it feels a bit like BB, and to a degree like having Carl's Drive attack (but instead of Ada, it's a choice of 4 cute girls). From the advise of that forum, I set my Unicode to Japanese, and renamed two of the files to have English names (i.e. the main executable and the .kgt file, so long as both have the same name), and got the game running in a snap. Anyway from the download links there's versions 1.04 and 1.05, though I'm not sure if I interpreted the blog right but I seem to have a hint that v1.05 has a bug? Anyway this is the link to v1.04 http://www.vector.co.jp/soft/dl/win95/game/se477052.html And as for favorite characters, mine are Kaede and Glinka (Glinka especially gives me a few giggles with her "butt attack" or 5C ). And is it me, or does Yui remind anyone else of Ragna with that big sword of hers?
  10. Just got one yesterday
  11. System: PS3 Name: Sailor Enlil GT: SailorEnlil Location: Philippines, South East Asia Notes: Still an absolute beginner, but mainly in for the fun. Got my first and only online round win with Litchi too (but so far no match victory)
  12. Geez, this is the only problem I have with Carl - Hakumen. I've beaten every other character with Carl (even Nu-13!), hence I was able to fully complete Carl's Story Mode (as in 100%), but not his Arcade Mode (all because of Hakumen), so until now I have not yet unlocked Carl's Astral Move (he's the only one without Astral yet in my system).
  13. Greetings from a newblood. I just started playing Blazblue only last week after buying the PS3 version at my favorite mall. Already Litchi is at the top of my list of favorite characters because of -Great looks -Great body -Great sense of humor, wit, and voice -Great fashion sense -Awesome Elegant and Stylish Fighting style (in fact what got me sold on her was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfK2PRJQIyc ), plus I've come to like staff/polearm fighters since Soul Calibur She's my main character now, and I actually finished Arcade Mode the first time with her. First I'll admit I'm not a hardcore fighting game player (i.e. I'm not so much into combos and those complicated presses to activate special attacks, and will more likely go button-mashing in such games or use button-shortcuts [eg L1,R1, etc on the Dual Shock controller] if applicable), and Second, I never got to play the Guilty Gear games before, so I'm not used to the gameplay of the series yet (in fact my most recent favorite fighting game is Soul Calibur 4, which I also have for my PS3).
