  1. It's great against Hazama and Lambda. I like saving it until the end of the match against Hazama, when they feel the safest spamming chains. Then Yukikaze that shit for the win.
  2. That's okay, I gotz the redirectorz. Thanks! The shippu was cool, but I also noticed something else. The combo the haku did around 9:45 in that vid would have been a no-brainer 3 loop combo in CS2, but he only did 2 loops. Yet it still did a very substantial amount of damage. It makes me wonder if it's possible to do 3 loops in a lot of combos anymore. Has anyone seen a haku do 3 loops in a corner combo yet? I think I've seen it maybe once immediately after a FC hotaru, but that's it.
  3. That's why that haku's combo dropped after the second 6a that I saw. Cool. Also can anyone link that vid with the wake-up shippu?
  4. I see. I think my best option would be to try to predict the backdash and hop or kishuu forward unless I have meter to combo after gurren. Thank you
  5. Ah, thanks for the replies! It was against a valkenhayn. I was trying to keep him under pressure so he couldn't get the chance to set up an offense, since those fast and ambiguous mixups he can do in wolf form screw me over all the time. He was really good at knowing when to backdash out of my pressure and then jump away though. Does Gurren ever wallbounce if you hit them at the end of their back dash?
  6. That's true, every time I've seen them use 6a the combo has dropped shortly after. But I also remember a lot of the times that happened, they used 6a earlier in the combo. Maybe repeat proration... but it's not in the notes so IDK.
  7. I like that you shouldn't need to spend an extra Mag on gurren anymore after hitting with 6c in the corner to correct the spacing if it's too far. Just 6a.
  8. It seems like it may have repeat prorate maybe? Or perhaps it's slow enough that you can feint a jump in and punish it, thereby making it less useful. Or maybe the invul frames aren't really that good. Dunno. Either way, It apparently has its place as a combo tool. I can't wait for this game to come out in the states so I can find out for myself.
  9. Yeah, I was really surprised/excited when I saw that. Did they give the wave after Shippu a damage buff, or did it always do that much?
  10. When pressuring, what's a good tool to use against an opponent that loves to backdash out of pressure instead of jump?
  11. Thanks very much for the info! How difficult is it to cancel on the first/last frames? +7 on block seems really good and worth practicing, but is it possible to do consistently?
  12. Hello, I was wondering how safe Hotaru is on block when hopped? I checked the frame data tab but there was no info there. I'm sure this has been covered, but unfortunately I can't find the information on it due to my own inability.
  13. Seems like that's what he's doing based on what he said in the thread he made. I'd never have the patience or the math skills to do it, so it's really awesome that Spark is doing that! Also there's a new vid up of Haku getting astral'd by relius... what exactly is he bound to? A magatama seal?
  14. I know when Lambda is charging her sword wave right in front of CH 3c range, I freeze up and just kind of wait for it to hit. It's weird. It might be something like that. Also, looks like 6a is the corner pick up of choice. I love how 6a is a good oki punisher in the corner now. If they roll, you get a nice wall bounce starter combo. If they tech neutral, it looks like the animation stops before you're at a frame disadvantage. If they don't tech, you just 5c them again after the wallbounce and reset it.
  15. Dude, Hakumen never cuts projectiles vs Lambda. They're too hard to hit unless they're the grounded buzz saw, or the Giant wave of swords that scream "void me please sir."
  16. Looks like Hotaru's proration got nerfed. There was a hotaru FC into 2c --> 3 loops and it only did about 3.7k. I like everything else about the new haku though!
  17. That is an awesome list and I'm sure it took a ton of time to make. Thank you very much for doing this!
  18. pretty sure I do that combo all the time and it doesn't do more than 5.3k. Unless you add in the Hotaru reset, which is around 7k. But I see what you mean. I agree that Hakumen needs more power in general, I've been really jealous of all the characters that can get more damage for Hakumen in general without spending any meter like he has to. On the changes topic, the gatling from j.b to j.2a is pretty self-explanatory. They're replacing the old staircase combo with something that gives more corner carry and fits with the rest of his BnB routes. Instead of the regular staircase, which is: (whatever starter to jump cancel) j.a ---> j.b --- double jump cancel ---> j.2a ----> j.c It'll look like: 5a (or whatever starter to jump) ---> j.a --- j.b ---> gatling j.2a ---> AD j.2a ---> j.C Plus more untechable time on j.b is nice. You could do tons of stuff with that, probably. Of course, I could be wrong on all of what I just posted. Like 40 vids of Extend out so far and not a single Hakumen
  19. Are you basing that assumption off of anything? Are there videos of any hakus up? Didn't see any on Jourdal and ptkazn123's channels yet.
  20. 8k "full combo?" That probably means his corner BnB or something. And probably started with 5c, and the hotaru ---j2c---5c version. But who knows? It'd be nice to be high/top tier again, that's for sure. And welcome to the boards bungcalero, I'm newish as well although I've been avidly playing since CT.
  21. oh, ok >.> lol. I can wait. So we've probably got another 6 months at least with CS2 here in America anyways. It's almost painful to theory craft like this when it's not coming out soon.
  22. Where can I find videos of CSex hakumen? I looked in the video thread but there were none. And yeah, that's really weird. Wonder if it got translated wrong.
  23. All that really makes me excited for Extend. Sucks that Hotaru doesn't primer break now though. "6A CH can be followed by 5C, 6A CH>5C>gurren does not works." That confuses me. Does that mean that gurren will not combo after 5c at all anymore? And it looks like a damage boost in general, which is awesome. and the new kishuu looks amazing.
  24. Yep, you just have to hop immediately after the tsubaki and buffer the gurren after the hop. The timing is strict but nowhere near as strict as the IAD follow up, that's for sure. Whole combo goes Tsubaki --> quickly hop ---> immediately gurren, wallbounce ----> hop ----5a-6a-5a----> j.2a etc It's harder to do on counter hit for me, not sure if it's because they slide further or what What does NH stand for tho?
  25. Has anyone gotten IAD midscreen tsubaki combos down consistently yet? It's possible for me(a mortal) do it like 75% of the time on CH, none of the time on regular hit. If I really need the damage, I'll hop ---> gurren and it'll pick them up no matter CH or regular hit. Was just wondering if the IAD variant is too hard to implement into real match consistently.
