Tiers are pointless. They don't mean much to actual gameplay. Who gives a crap about S-tier or Tager tier? No matter what you say, tiers don't influence someone's game. It's skill. Carl goes even with Ara and Nu, but accorrding to the tier list, he's supposed to lose. I've beaten a few (bad/lazy) Rachels, but the tier list says I'm supposed to lose. But I don't. :/

I think everyone is trying to learn the match-up. If we just wanted to complain about his match ups without learning anything, I think half of us would of given up by now (bad match ups, terrible attack/defense/speed/HP, and a high learning curve. I think I'm just going to complain about him instead of learn how to use him...). That's not what this forum is for. It's so we can discuss the problems we face and get answers on how to deal with them. In general, Rachel rapes Carl. (I'm actually smiling at this since my fangirl dreams are coming true). But this isn't set in stone. Good players know how to deal with their weakness and stuff. Also, she can do combos with one stock of wind: 2b/5b otg characters (Use midscreen on Nu and Carl. In the corner, also works on Noel and Tager.) 6b can be added after 5b at close range or if the opponent is cornered. BNB: Uses 1 wind: 5b > (6b) > 5cdc > 214a > dash > 2b > 5b > (frog hits) > 236a > dash > j.2c > [j.214b wind oki]} 3079 damage (3274 w/ 6b) For Carl, you can actually get 1 hit of 3c as an ender depending on what you do during the combo. I’ll add that combo sometime soon. Look at the Rachel forums for more. My sub is Rachel so I know she can do good damage with 1 stock of wind.

Even if I had one, I most likely wouldn't use it since it'd be easier to tell I'm a girl (which is something I want to avoid so guys don't go easy on me...). In order for noobs (and pros, no matter how perfect they claim they are) like me to become better at using Carl, we need to use our resources effectively, namely these forums (unlike the BB: General discussion forum which is starting to look like GameFAQs...). So, unless Kyle thinks this is a stupid and pointless thread, this thread is up for us to use; noob and pro alike. I: Why a study group? What's wrong with just playing online with random people? Well, nothing's wrong with random fights or anything but really how many Carls are you going to get to play? I think Carls are pretty rare to find (especially most people like to be a bunch of jerks and spam ice-car) so we should probably gather as many Carls up as possible and learn from each other and we can use PSN chat (or whatever XBL has) to critique. As a group, I think we should work together to improve our skills. II: I HATEZ LAGZ!! How is this gonna work? We can try to set things up by location (though I fought Gimpt, who was on the east coast and had little-to-no lag even though I'm in Hawaii). I.E: From Hawaii to central and central to east coast can be two groups. Also, for those who don't know... Pacific time: Three hours ahead of HI Mountain time: Four hours ahead of HI Central time: Five hours ahead of HI Eastern: Six hours ahead of HI So, if you want to know the times someone's going to be on, find the difference between where you're at and your Carl peer. III: Oh noes! I can't join the CCSG because you don't have a X-box 360... I'll try to work something out with the other Carl players and see if they want to help out.
