  1. This does make Hakumen the only character that actually loses heat for getting combo'd though. :3
  2. Interesting. They did do something like this for CT, so maybe they might want another one for CP.
  3. I watched half the video so far. You never used 6B once. It would help with your pressure a lot. Also be careful with those j.B jump ins. He got you every time except once.
  4. Too early to tell.
  5. i havent even looked but id assume its because we have less stars so they have to squeeze out more damage in other ways
  6. at long last they see my genius
  7. platinum has a counter now?
  8. Mori was just trying to bring her in line with the beating she got in Alter Memory.
  9. i think my speakers just blew out
  10. Speaking of that, we should probably catalogue the CP1.1 changes somewhere just like we have the CP loketest changes.
  11. so thats what it was it got kind of laggy
  12. I think it would go a long way to ease people's concerns if you spelled out exactly how the money would be used. Even if it wasn't a lot of money to ask for, it wouldn't be worth it if it was wasted. Which is why people are asking about the process and the videos themselves. For instance, usually these Kickstarters will say they need $500 to buy certain equipment, $1000 to acquire a certain license, etc.
  13. One thing I wanted to say, watching that first Jin video. I know a lot of beginner players (and everyone was a beginner at one point) so just looking at how quickly the video breezes through some stuff makes me think that the new player would have no idea what's going on. I mean, you mention okizeme and blockstrings and all this other stuff, but you would need videos of their own just to explain those concepts. I could see my friends watching it and just zoning out or throwing up their hands altogether. Or is the video supposed to be aimed at players that are already familiar with fighters, but just new to BB? The price doesn't seem that bad if you look at it like a full time job. If I was offered to do this for the next 6 months for 10k I would turn it down since it wouldn't compare to a real job. And that's before you split the money. That and it would only take like 1000 players to kick in $10 which is just a trip to Burger King. For the experts all you would need to do is grab a few players from each subforum. Everyone knows who is legit. You could have Spark for Hakumen, LK for Litchi, KayEff for Ragna, etc. The one limit would be if said person had time to contribute, so if they don't then that would obviously mean looking somewhere else.
  14. He's still played Nu for 4 consecutive games. Screwing around with Mu for a few months won't change that.
  15. Eating preferences are personal. But in fighting games there is an objectively right way to play (up to a point). So you should expect some comments about your play. It's like if you are doing a math problem wrong and someone points out your mistake. You can't say "well this is just how I like to do it." Well, you can, but you can't blame the other person for pointing out the mistake. Anyway, let's get back on topic.
  16. I looked it up. They ARE from a prior version of SF2. Being superless and with crazy normals is how they were. Super Turbo had the old characters from Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers. So SF4 following in its footsteps is not new.
  17. That avatar is great. Nightmare. Best mare. I think we'll need a new combo thread too. The combo routes will be mostly the same, but the air juggles might not be optimal anymore. Or it might be worth doing them even with the meter loss. We'll have to see. Good job Yakuza. Just make sure to keep up with new videos; it can pile up very quickly. Now Spark just has to sticky it and unsticky the current video thread.
  18. Still adjusting to the new forum. Maybe another Kristoph would be better. Play Toan or SWD. Or Ached Sphinx or BloodWolf. Why is this thread so long. My track wheel is going to break.
  19. That could work. But then the OP would be loaded with videos from a previous version. Like if we just kept the EX video thread for CP.
  20. So we are going to need a new video thread. Who wants the honors.
  21. Oh. I thought the old ones were from prior versions. What are they then? Why are they called old.
  22. I was talking about either. What do you mean ST's old characters were different? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2gMAOPIHIo It seems to be fine here. They're using old and new. Damn these are intense.
  23. I suppose it could be useful as a sort of community outreach. But really, if someone wants to get competitive, they'll have to come here either way. Even with the video. It's true that all of this information is already out there, and there is something to be said for packaging it up in a presentable fashion. It's not like cook books are showing you anything that hasn't been done 100 times before. I feel like each character could have something put together free by one of their better players, in a month, though. The ultimate test is how many are willing to pay for it. If people are then I guess that settles whether it's worth it to them.
  24. I liked the idea of them having edition select for tournaments. It worked fine for SF2. You just have to think of each edition as a separate character. So you'd have a ton of different characters and a ton of different matchups, but only a few would be viable (just like every other game) and that would weed out a lot of what matchups you'd need to know. I always imagined what a BlazBlue edition select would look like. Just thinking of how to manage all the different mechanics is a headache. Suppose you picked CT Nu. Would she use Guard libra? Would her opponent? Same with bursts and all that.
  25. They had that in Extend. They don't have it in CP?
