  4. Well, a dash is really 656. My problem when trying to dash on stick is I do the 66 too fast and don't give it time to reset to 5 in between, so it doesn't register them as separate inputs. In this case the 9 would be the first 6. It's easier to just tap the stick to 9, let the stick reset back to neutral and then tap forward. Should be fairly quick.
  5. To me overcommitting means doing something that puts you in an extremely vulnerable position, and if you don't get punished you got lucky.
  6. It's interesting since when this kind of method was first recognized most of Dustloop was like, "Yeah, take that Capcom, Arc Sys balances in a fun way instead of boring tweaks." Now it's come full circle.
  7. Yup, that's the one. Because a 9 input is really a 8 + 6 input (up + right) so your first 6 is already covered by the 9.

  9. I got to play on stick a bit the other day and was surprised. It's way easier playing Hakumen on stick this iteration than the previous ones. Mainly because on stick the things I always have trouble with are movement: IADs, double jumps, hops, etc. In EX and before you had to IAD everywhere to do the combos but now it's just 3C 5C Zan and half the combo is done. Of course, that's not really going to help in a high level match or against zoners (always against zoners) but it's still much less frustrating so far.

  13. I was going to suggest 5D too. 6A is safer; if they empty jump you won't be as vulnerable. But my point was that he was giving you a lot of chances to use either of them.

  16. I can confirm off naked 2A or 2B but it took a few games before it became second nature. Don't forget about Renka. Otherwise just going for 3C knockdown is fine.
  17. When you're pressuring them, eventually you will be pushed far enough away that you will have to hop to get close to them again. If you never Hotaru, they can just wait for the hop and hit you. However, in this game Hotaru is riskier, so his pressure overall took a hit.
  18. Hop is good because it can get you back in closer when you've been pushed out for pressure. It can also make them respect your hops because they are afraid you might Hotaru.

  22. Apparently her Calamity Sword (giant overhead sword super) is not an overhead in OD, so you can 2D it.
  23. I didn't think of that. I meant that they might want to help this kickstarter out since it could do the work for them. Although it would be neat if they made another one.
