  1. I don't know man, last time Arcsys gave a character weapons we ended up with Elphelt.
  2. Lol that's actually astaroth from soul calibur, not potemkin. I mean since when did potemkin carry an axe?
  3. Lol, well I didn't think anyone used this thread anymore.
  4. Hey guys, Ottawa's having another tourney on the 26th, gonna be a big one so hopefully since there's more notice this time, y'all can come through. Lots of new blood in guilty gear and we'd like to get some game against MTL, anyway here're the deets: The Algonquin Video Game Club is partnering with Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo to host a qualifier for their Canada-wide Street Fighter V invitational tournament in April! For more information about EGLX, click here: http://eglx.ca/Super Gonq Battles is happening on March 26, 2015 on the 2nd floor of the Robert C. Gillett Student Commons at Algonquin College. The venue opens at noon for casuals and registration is on-site only. Please send a message if there are any delays in arrival. The event is open to all! We are running Super Smash Bros. Melee at noon, Guilty Gear Xrd (PS3) at 2PM, and Street Fighter V (PS4) at 4PM. Each tournament is 2-5 hours long. There is a one-time venue fee of $10 for tournament participants. Every tournament game requires a separate $10 entry fee that contributes to the tournament winnings. There are no fees to enter as a spectator or play casuals; feel free to bring your friends! You must bring your own controller. Side tournaments will occur on-site if there is interest (8 people and the necessary equipment). We are looking for volunteer set-ups (monitors and consoles). Participants that supply equipment get a $5 discount on their venue fee.

  7. The impression I got against my friend was that his 2p was pretty good, he'd instablack my shot and then 2p me, however bear in mind that my shotgun pressure is HOT garbage, so that might have factored in. He also swept me, and unless my eyes were deceiving me it low profiled the shot. Anyway, gonna leave this footage here for future reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aSID9Ufb54

  9. Lol, this thread pretty much sums up this match-up for me, there're so few Chipps out there it's really difficult to get any kind of information.
  10. Check this video out, it covers a lot of basic info on how to play him. It helped me get started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOLkXM8EODs
  11. Thanks for the tips guys, I need to practice my IBing anyway, so ill start working on IBing it.
  12. But you see that's what my original question was, how exactly do I go about this? I tried 2S and 5S, but neither of them worked, he had enough time to block. Now I didn't IB, I'm still getting the hang of that, but if I do IB would 5S work?
  13. Yea I was a little confused by both of his suggestions tbh.
  14. On block? I'm pretty sure neither option would be feasible on block, especially since grim sever pushes back and elphs 6p is one of her slowest normals.
  15. So here's a quick question, can elphelt punish grim sever? I tried using 5s and 2s but neither was fast enough. Is it just not possible at max range?
