sounds to me like the hakumen is mashing counter. just bait the counter. purposefully pause in your string and if you see the counter, then start a high damage combo on him. that should dissuade him from doing it again. PS: i assume you mean "block-strings." hit strings implies you're actually hitting (ie: comboing) them.

sorry, my response was sort of vague and Gli's and Tari's are much better indepth ones. I don't know what IS's are, but i can guess that you're talking about sword iris'. if you are then i wouldn't recommend using it to try and zone tager. look where you place your rods and use them in that sense. for example if tager's sledge moves him into range of a rod, feel free to sword iris and then summon pumpkin (or frog if you already have pumpkin). also for pumpkin, what you can do is place it, let it sit there and then back up. if tager sledges, wait until the animation almost finishes, then wind the pumpkin backwards (so 4D) then forward (5/6D). what this does is if tager doesn't follow up, he has to block or get hit by the pumpkin, allowing you a mixup or combo. if he does the follow up, the 4D gets projectile armor'd, but the 5D hits him while he recovers and you can get a free corner carry combo. try not to get too frustrated with tager

this match up sucks. not because it's in tager's favor or anything, but because to win, rachel has to play really lamely. 6B is your friend, but don't be too obvious or you can get grabbed by a well spaced 360a. and if you're magnetized, be even more careful about using it. zone him, if you can get frog to activate on him, get in there and mix him up. take what damage you can get and gtfo to zone him again. rinse and repeat as needed. pumpkin's good for baiting all sledges if it's placed right and you wind it correctly (by that i mean it can even cover sledge and its follow up). don't get greedy with mix up or pressure.

you can't go wrong with blocking, as long are you're doing it correctly. this match up is definitely one of the more annoying ones for rachel because hazama can just stuff all [poor] summoning attempts. however, do you best to find places to get out pumpkin and summon rods. if you use sword iris properly, then hazama will definitely think twice about just coming in. once you have screen presence with your summons, he'll be the one having a problem with you getting in.

oh and i don't know if this was clarified already or not, but from the new batch of screenshots, it's a pretty sure thing that we'll see the p3 cast (minus aigis) using their evokers.
