  1. hey everyone! just dropping in to say hi! i'm gonna be going to college up in Washington and i was curious how the scene was up there.
  2. Persona 4 The Ultimate In Mayonaka Arena I figured that it'd be nice to compile what we've seen so far into a nice, neat post. Warning: This is all DEBUG gameplay, so somethings may be incorrect or changed in the final build Will update as new info comes in. Confirmed Characters: Yu Narukami (ie: Protagonist) Yosuke Hanamura Chie Satonaka Yukuko Amagi Kanji Tatsumi Teddie (Bear) Aegis Customization - HERE Color Priset - Changes Color Character - ? Persona - ? Megane - Glasses! Navigation - Possibly stage pick, or button layout. Mechanics: Game UI: HERE Persona Bar/Gauge/Meter (credits to DevilTrigger for this one) - Probably dictates your persona summoning and how often you can do it. If you can't, your persona is greyed out (like shown in the screenshot) Special Bar/Gauge/Meter - Used for One More, Special Attacks, etc. Bar increases from 100 to 150 when at low health (more on that below) Burst Icon - Probably similar to Blazblue or Guilty Gear, but could be entirely different. Most likely recharges (HERE and HERE) Round Counters Character Specific: Yukiko - Has an "Agi Meter." HERE Chie - Has a "Kung-Fu Kick Meter" for some of her moves. HERE Game Mechanics: Burst - Recharges (See above) One More - A cancel that costs meter (1, 2, and 3) Come Back Mechanic - When someone is brought to a low percentage of health, they're given the capacity to hold 150 meter instead of 100 (Before and After) Blue Health - (?) Uses health for some special moves. Health used becomes blue health (HERE). Recovers blue health over time if not damaged (ie: SF4 focus health regen) Status Ailments - So far we've only seen Tentrafoo (from Yosuke HERE)
  3. months. not weeks. and the argument is that the protag didn't cannonically maximize all of the s. links. i don't remember whether or not mr. narukami should have izanagi no ookami or not though edit: nevermind didn't read the post above me
  4. wasn't there one with chie and her kick gauge? and then it disappeared?
  5. well it's supposed to be a reference to the "all-out attack" from persona 4 (and 3). looks like you can spend meter to follow it up
  6. dunno if anyone will find this interesting and i'm unsure if this is a universal mechanic or just for yosuke, but in the trailer, at 1:19, Chie hits yosuke who ignores the attack and attacks her through it. possibly a dead angle sort of move (only problem is no meter was used). or maybe yosuke has a counter. edit: totally not important at all, but chie pays homage to bruce lee, fei long, etc. with her kick (looks really similar to fei long's U1) at 1:31
  7. that's really weird though, why would the protag's stock be above chie's portrait?
  8. no, tong's right. meter's used. pause in between the frames really fast and you'll see. screenshot!
  9. pretty cool trailer. yukiko has a "level n" meter used for something or other. maybe similar to tsubaki at :32 the protag shows off that you can chase people into the air after an all-in rush (by yourself) move, but it costs some meter (7 in this case) :25, :33, 1:08, 2:11 seem to show when you get into a certain low percentage of health, your meter bar doubles in capacity. 2:11 actually confirms it. yosuke techs, his persona 4 eye shot flashes and his meter doubles around 1:50 I think that when the combo meter fills "One more" appears. what that means yet, i'm not sure. actually, looking at that one more thing, i can give a guess to what it does. the combo meter fills and you can either do a rush attack (the all-in attack in persona, except...forever alone:() and then follow it up. or "one more" which is probably a cancel into another special. actually, i'm more inclined to believe that the "combo meter" is actually a "hitstun meter" "one more" probably is a rapid of some sort. seeing as it costs alot of meter. there's a frame at 1:50ish where he goes as low as 17 meter (from 54ish), really hard to see though and i could only freeze that shot a couple of times
  10. i'm not too sure about that. if you look at chie hovering over color priset, it shows 2 options. one's probably for chie, and one's probably for tomoe (her persona). i was thinking maybe changing persona would kinda sorta be like blazblue's unlimited mode. the choice of persona would be between their normal one and their ultimate one.

  18. i was thinking about getting an import copy, but i have a 360 only, and it's region locked. as for the rest of what you said, it's all a sad truth. as for getting it in the arcade now, that's probably, as you pointed out, a waste of money and time, so oh well.
  19. because a month isn't exactly a short time? plus, the earlier the better.
  20. wow. girls got some quick hands. my favorite part was when they got tired from mashing the buttons and throttling the stick

  23. Uh, SSF4 to some extent. I keep trying to convince myself that I like that game... I tried MB:AA on my PC. That was pretty fun, but didn't really know what I was doing. I'm pretty interested in GG, especially in playing Dizzy, but I'm not sure if I want to delve into another fighting game (especially one with hard execution D: )
