Oooh, I just noticed this. Being a Canadian and all I don't get a lot of tournament opportunities but for a 2-hour drive this would probably be worth it. I'll definitely sign up for the con and participate in the tournaments. I'm assuming more info will be available as the dates get closer. Also, if needed, I can possibly supply a monitor but that depends on customs being cool with that. They got their panties in a bunch when I tried to bring a laptop over once.

I try not to dash>236C. That sort of things only works once, and when it does the proration is just terrible. I find it better to give more space and go back to hit confirming chains, or maybe tossing out another 2A or 5B. All of that said, I'm having trouble finding any practical use for 214D~A even in blockstrings. It seems that it gets punished every time I throw it out, mostly by [insert character name here]'s 2A/5A and sometimes a reversal DP.
-
6A is so risky with how slow it comes out in comparison to other characters' overheads. I notice that a lot of people have trouble reacting to a 214D~A on block because it usually leaves you outside of A-poke range, and able to follow up again or IAD backwards/fowards and 6D/j.B.

Indeed. Hazama has some pretty good meter gain and he can convert a lot of random hits (not just chain confirms) into his regular j.214B# BnB. With 50 meter, he's easily one of the most dangerous characters in the game and deserves a lot of respect at that point in a fight, coupled with his above average meter gain. Compared to someone like Litchi, who doesn't have a lot of options out of sustained pressure, Hazama really takes the cake on that note. Jayoku beats out most moves in the game and easily leads into a combo that pretty much gives most of his meter back. That said, I can understand his position on that jbbs tier list, but with SBO coming up in a month it should definitely be taken with a grain of salt.

It says "+" = 0.5 so they voted bang as S+ tier

S: Litchi, Bang A: Arakune, Ragna, Hakumen B: Carl, Taokaka, Hazama, Mu, Lambda, Makoto, Jin C: Noel, Tager, Tsubaki D: Rachel personal opinion. I don't think ragna should be in S tier, nor should carl be in A tier. Mu/Makoto are just rough estimates.
-
Hmm, well I know that Tager can apparently CH 2A among other things no matter what you do, which is why I was wondering. I'm mostly just going for a reliable blockstring altogether.

kazukifafner kinda nailed it. It all depends on where you are positioned to begin with. Dashing towards them always helps, you can 214D as early as you want so you get a level 2 devouring fang out. Just press C shortly after they come back into your screen. Practice the timing and you'll be golden. That aside, what are SAFE follow-ups to 214D~A in a blockstring? 2A generally works but is that my only option? 5B is too slow unless I'm not linking it fast enough. 236D seems alright too but I prefer to continue pressure against certain characters (the less mobile ones without reliable wake-up/IB reversals).

How is the BlitzBox HD? I'm looking for a more budgeted way to stream for the moment, since I can always upgrade later on. I've heard some good things about it but I've never really heard TOO much about it. Since, yeah. I noticed the equipment you listed is well out of my current budget.
-
Hmm. I mostly just bought it to test it out and see how well it works. I'll likely pick up something better later in the month once I have the money. Thanks for the info though, it's been very helpful so far. :3c

Alright, sounds good. Thanks. I would prefer to use livestream since I have it all set-up already, though I have ready-made accounts for both of the other two.

I haven't found a thread regarding this anywhere, so I figured making one would be my best bet. I'm looking at getting into the streaming business with BBCS and I've got a few questions about it. I have some basic tools that will help with the whole deal, cables, an ATI TV Wonder HD750 and a very capable computer/upload bandwidth. However, I don't really know much about getting started with the whole shebang, so I'm looking for tips and somewhat of a tutorial on how to get there. What sites/software are the best for live game streaming? How do I set this all up so that it will be reliable? and, What equipment is all needed for such things? I'm posting this in hopes that this will help not only myself, but anyone else who wants to stream their matches and stuff like that.

Question: is there any info on Hazama's dash/backdash properties? I've been checking all the frame data but I haven't found anything.
-
Hmm, I completely forgot about the dash>3c>jayoku bnb post wallbounce. Thanks for the help bros.

I'm having problems connecting a Mizuchi Rekkazan after a 623D, I must be inputting it too late, but a friend told me to input the 632146C right after they wallbounce. It never seems to come out on time. :|

Hmmm. We need to update this and compile the list! That ought to make it a little easier for all of our hakubros here.

Anyone know if any arcades in the Vancouver/Burnaby, BC area have one? I figured CHQ @ Metrotown might get one but I haven't been there yet to check.

Definitely maining Hakumen from now on. Subbing Noel and Bang. PSN is in my info/sig. I'm an okay Haku. Always had trouble with the j2c bnb but everything else is pretty much down. Initially started using him to cover my bad matchups with Noel.. turned out to be the most fun I've had playing so far.
