I'm pretty sure the player in http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10286961 is Erushi.
-
Yeah, it can be canceled at any point after you have actually touched the ground, there's no timing per say. It's just restricted to special moves and 2c.
-
well... those that matter anyway. What I do is I search for Rachel written in katakana( レイチェル ) on nico nico every once in a while, so I catch many videos that aren't of those three. They aren't as good usually, but it's better than nothing.
-
god forbid that there might be people that play her because they like her style
-
What Kro said. If you watch the video again, the times that Matsu didn't do a second 3C resulted in BBL hitting only once. Now, is this a character specific thing, or you need to do this for the entire cast?
-
it's extremely unsafe, you have almost like one second to punish it after you block it what actually happened is that Matsu winded a pumpkin down-forwards while blocking when Zakiyama was on the ground; he woke up with the upper-kick super but since the pumpkin was active he got canceled out of it. But, since the upper-kick super is 1 frame attack after the super freeze, Matsu ended up blocking it, not being able to capitalize on the pumpkin hitting since it stuns for so little time.

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9604465 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9604559 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9604624 decent Rachel, good corner pressure game
-
actually, 5C doesn't remove a guard primer, it's second hit that does(5CC). But it does fatal counter on counter hit though. I think the 2nd hit of 5CC fatal counters too, but i'm not sure.

1/23 UFO八王子 Pickup Part 1 has a Rachel player during the second part not very good, but has quirky use of back-downwards wind after the typical air combo jB jC 236a ender, I found it interesting might be useful to summon george mid-air after the lobelia and cover yourself with a pole while winding yourself down
-
Thing is, if you use 2C too much, your opponent, if he is clever (always assume your opponent is clever), will start baiting it(by stopping his blockstrings to just block, for example), and then you'll be completely free for a counter-hit. That's why everybody says it's a high-risk maneuver. Same thing with Hakumen's D counters.

Seems Tager specific, too
-
He lost, that's what but that player overall was quite a cut above everyone else. Awesome Rachel player, i wonder who it is?
-
Would it work with 3[c]8d?
-
it's not. The player's name is Erushi or something to that effect, if you listen, the commentator says the names at the beginning of the match
-
we'd have something to post here IF there were actually still people playing her seriously in the land of the rising sun
-
Is there a way to modify the combo ender to end up with a knockdown for more pressure instead of an easily escaped air combo?
-
But does Tempest Dahlia knock down or the opponent can recover before touching the ground after getting hit?
-
The more I compare them(CS vs CT), it seems to me that George jumps farther from Rachel's hands when she summons him from the ground, can anyone confirm/deny?
-
Did you watch the vids Geno posted? In the last ones there's a black-clad Rachel that does it pretty often; he does BnB with CDC ender into frog, then dash 6C for a couple hits --> frog activates --> air C --> air 236C --> whatever as frog ends
-
yes, but the problem is her tools to get in are risky at best and her normals are pretty crappy/situational although forward wind + forward air dash is one hell of a quick way to get in
-
Wow, I really love this guy's playstyle That's some pretty hardcore rushdown there
-
or you might just watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biU39pSYy-k&feature=PlayList&p=74E0EFFF796AB8EF&index=0 I think this proves beyond all doubt that you can resummon the pumpkin whenever you want. Except in the air. You're still logically restricted to one summon for each time your feet leave the ground.
-
There's nothing to cry about, actually the Rachel player had near spot-on gameplay even if he lost, these matches were on the wire all the time and he did some nasty setups with all these new vids, I think Rachel players are finally starting to adapt to her CS gameplay.
-
Opponents were bad, but it doesn't change the fact that the player had spot on tactics.
-
those vids are nice. The Rachel player's opponents might have been a little weak, but still, I think this is getting close to being a textbook example on how to play CS Rachel, especially on how to cover your ass with the pumpkin
