  1. I thought he was saying that this new rule only applies to crossup commands, like when Carl is facing Nirvana but facing away from the opponent because you've just crossed them up; before Carl corrects his direction?
  2. Seriously? Moar range? Active frames? Shorter recovery? Please, enlighten me!!!! EDIT: About the combo in the quote in the post below mine, will the j.B connect on certain crouching characters? Or rather, isn't it possible that it might whiff on ALL crouching characters, save for Tager and maybe Rachel and Hakumen? Just a thought
  3. So what's it called when you've returned the stick to neutral before pressing D? Brio, etc will work after the stick is in neutral for a few frames, probably because of the 5 frame repeated inputs, but idk. Call it what you want, It's just interesting that there's more than one way to do it.
  4. Actually I didn't test 22[D]. I don't think holding D will work, because holding D is how you move her. All I did was confirm that 22D and 22]D[ both work, and this applies to all her specials and distortion drives.
  5. Teleport can also be done without negative edge. 22D works
  6. I tried this out in CT today with Brio, Anima and Fuoco, and I was in awe. I thought everything Ada did had to be negative edged. So then, does the same apply to Volante in CS? This would make combos involving Brio and Volante a bit easier, preventing normal moves like 4]D[, etc from happening by accident.

  8. In CT, even if Nirvana was in the center, the astral still had two small gaps at the far ends, if the two opponents were as far apart as possible. idk what the range is in CS, but 3-5 secs is muuch more practical
  9. Just wondering why my question about a combo, and all the following responses about that combo were deleted from this thread, but posts about palette swaps get to stay? Seems kinda strange imo, but if need be, When in Rome.... I like his white and blue palette swap. There. This post gets to stay now, right?
  10. Does 2C still have enough untechable time to delay an 8D so that both parts of the clap hit, for a full 2-3 reps? That would do quite a bit of damage (around 4-5k), wouldn't it. It'd be a hefty damage reward after sandwich mixups. Or is 2C techable before that can happen?

Here's something I've been wondering: In Calamity Trigger, Nirvana could absorb Arakune's clouds and bugs by touching them, thereby removing them from the field and keeping Carl from being cursed. Since Arakune's clouds no longer have hitboxes, can Nirvana still get rid of them by touching them? If she can, does this increase Arakune's curse meter?
  12. Really? I've uploaded replays without anyone pressing the button, so I thought that making the red light turn on meant you WEREN'T allowing an upload. That's how it's been for me the whole time...

Yes, but beware of counter hits from Carl himself if you are busy attacking Nirvana. lol It's funny because it's true btw the safest times to burst would be if Carl has under 50 heat, or is midair. Good Carls with 50 heat will try to pressure you to burst, if you fall of it, you'll eat a good 3600 damage. If Nirvana happened to be behind you when the gear landed, you'll also eat the infinite afterwards, if you aren't already dead yet.
  14. But when I originally thought of 12k, there was no 'fast regen' in mind. I was thinking this before the 1st loketest, and The justification was that they'd probably remove his infinite and keep him pretty much the same.
  15. I lol'd at that. That's would just be overkill to the already dead 2C > 8D loop. Here's hoping for Nirvana to get a stamina increase... Before the first loketest, I was speculating that ArcSys would, without a doubt remove the infinite, but that they'd give Nirvana like 12-14k stamina. Boy, did they sure fool me:eng101:

  17. Well, if this does happen to be the last loketest, let's just hope he takes a turn for the better between this loketest and the arcade release. I'm trying to stay optimistic about him, but Arcsys is making it difficult
  18. I tried it for a good 10 mins in CT, and I also couldn't get it to work... I haven't seen one vid of loketest Carl. I am sad.
