  1. I had a feeling that's what the HD Heart Aino was leading to. AH is so underappreciated. Most people I know who have actually played it say good things about it. I hope this one has better music though.
  2. Want to go to this (and or the next one), but the holiday adjacent timing is rough. Nobody is playing BB at NL at all on normal days, have to bring my own copy.
  3. Thanks. I've been playing fighters less than ever lately though. My internet has been super unstable, though supposedly they fixed it the other day. It seems to be dropping less. Regardless, I don't have Revelator yet since I'm unemployed. They need to add Dizzy already...and her combos better not be stupidly hard. I just used Ky and Faust in Xrd 'cause everyone else I tried was too hard.
  4. Well, he doesn't seem to be in that group at least, haha.
  5. I don't want to go around dropping his name, since he already thinks I'm a weirdo (because I found his facebook page? I'm still not really clear on what I did and he refused to elaborate.). If you didn't live here, you're not him. I don't know if he's actually part of any scene, I just know he liked fighting games more than any of my friends did (enough to own arcade sticks anyway).
  6. I'll be in Scranton starting tomorrow. Still not sure if I"m moving back for real or just staying for a couple months.
  7. Ug, I can't win. I was super super into BB from CT to CSII. I still play it on and off, but not seriously. Mu is fun again in CF and the new characters are cool so maybe I'll get into it again. I gave up on getting anyone into any game I was into and settled for 3S (which I DO really like, but it's so old as to be an impossible uphill battle) a couple years ago because I met one person in college who was crazy good at it (vs no one who cared about anything other than Smash, MvC, Persona or Skullgirls). I'd like to think I've gotten good at it, but randoms online still murder me so whatever~. I beat Tominaga in casuals when he wasn't really trying a couple times. YSB too. Least I can say that. Anyway, I'm in Japan until April. After that it's up in the air if I'll move back to Scranton or not. I'll definitely come back for a little while at least. It seems like the only people in Scranton who like fighters are this one asian guy who hates me and his friends so I double gave up on Scranton. Hopefully you're not him or one of his friends. Also I don't have a car, and we have garbage public transportation. Might move to NYC, even though I kind of hate it there too.
  8. Why are people so bad at calling Arcana Heart by its actual name, it is not hard. Almost any time I see someone who doesn't play it mention it, they call it Arcana Hearts. I've even see "Arcane Hearts" once or twice. This does not happen for other games.
  9. None, don't kid yourself.
  10. Tryig to play right now. Won't let me connect to the network. I'm signed onto PSN, was just playing 3rd Strike no problem. What gives? [edit] pfc it starts working again as soon as I post
  11. I stopped playing this after a week due to a combination of "got a ps4" and it's winter break for me, and I'm incapable of keeping a reasonable sleep schedule and I don't want to bother the person in the next apartment with late night arcade stick clacking. Oops. I still feel like playing it sometimes, but I'd really rather not have to use dual shock.
  12. Pre-CP Mu, for sure. Breaking guard primers was always fun, even if I usually didn't get much of a reward out of it. I miss the raw damage from the old 214D a lot too. CF seems like a definite improvement over the CPs at least. I had fun with CT Carl too. I could never really do the clap loop, but you could tell when your opponents were afraid of the threat of it. Everyone was so convinced he was garbage back then, I kind of liked the idea of a character who was mostly trash but had a ridiculous trump card (see ST T.Hawk). He just never felt right in CS, and he's too complicated for me to bother ever going back to unless the series gets discontinued. When I saw you couldn't even sandwich loop in CPEX, I was happy I hadn't bothered to use him in years. Of course, I've messed around with other characters too, only to have arcsys change the hell out of him. I spent like a week with Hakumen in CS before loctest news got out, and made me wonder why I was wasting my time. Stop overhauling characters for no reason, arcsys!
  13. Oh wow, 5-gauge combo was deceptively simple with Ouka. Should've tried this first, but I didn't think it would hold for long enough so I wasted like 45 minutes trying other stuff. Infinite Blast > Variable Rush (all B) > j.A > j.B > j.C > 623B > (cancel) Another Blood > Aoi > 236236BC VR puts you in hover mode, but I don't think there's a notation for that. It's pretty self evident. Also, on a somewhat random note. That Japanese site doesn't mention you can do normal throw > 360 with Ouka. Pretty good to know, decent damage for being super simple even in lag. Thanks, guy in ranked who showed me that.
  14. That was my guess too, but I can't figure out how to combo after variable rush. It seemed like everyone I tried either ended with popping them up into the air, or throwing them across the screen. Either way, I couldn't get much of a followup. Also, all my win and loss records were wiped again. I like that I get to keep my grade and LP, but everything else is gone. Doesn't seem like this is happening to anyone else judging by the records page. Just a bit frustrating. Makes me look suspicious too, being grade A with like 9 matches.
  15. Does anybody know how to do a 5-gauge combo? It's the only trophy that I'm not able to figure out. Judging by how easy the rest were, there's something obvious that I'm missing because it doesn't seem possible.
