I didn't know you needed to see where the hitbox was to know where to not go after some testing. This is user error. Don't know where it is? Check training mode. Want to figure out how to beat it? Check training mode. Want to check the startup time? Check training mode -OR- check the wiki (arcana.mizuumi.net) that has frame data from the mook. A good Petra is not going to waste their time trying to catch you with a potshot 236x. Those bullets have a lot more use in neutral with ricochet shots, or in combo with 236x. Petra is a top tier character in AH3. It's not because of 236x. It's her stupid low homing pressure, stupid damage conversion, how safe dodge can be made. It's not often I see a player get caught by that raw. For Love Max we hope to have hitboxes up on the wiki, but that depends on how the game is packaged....

Why are you pressing buttons at that range? There is no reason to get hit at that range by that move. Petra has some scary moves, 236x is not one I'm particularly frightened about. If you're using your movement options and thinking it's not bad to deal with. Also, like I said Petras dodge game has been nerfed. She's still a perfectly fine character, she's just not as strong.

Petra is definitely a changed character, her command dodge isn't nearly as safe anymore (EFC no longer works) and she got hurt by the low air homing change too, just like the rest of the top tier. That said she's still an incredibly solid character. I don't know that I'd call her the "beginner friendly" character, Weiss/Heart are probably easier for a new player to understand. As far as getting/playing AH3 before Love Max- anything you learn from AH3 will carry over in some shape or form. If you have extra cash to spend, or know someone with a copy and you want to go in, go in. If you want to play Petra you're going to need to learn how to be aggressive and how the homing button works,

Okay so now that we're done with Examu Cup lets take an interest poll. I want to host something weekly, something like a netplay room possibly. But we have players from different regions who want to play, and netplay can get messy that way. There's no way we can get a good connection from NE US to Europe. So who would be interested in this- watching/participating in a netplay regional exhibition series, we can host a weekly netplay room for different regions (NE, SE, WC, EU) and talk with the members of the community about how their local scenes are, where to find games, who to talk to etc. and comment over the matches, as well as answer questions from newer players.

Glad everyone had fun watching Examu Cup, it was fun to commentate, even if we all did die towards the end. I wouldn't be opposed to commentating on matches more often, maybe in a bit of a different format? (Reviewing match vids?) As far as content updates for AH3LM, it honestly doesn't bother me. I'm fine with this update, they balanced the cast, the arcana and gave us quite a few more stages and music so we don't have to suffer through the AH3 ost. The game already has a large enough cast, I don't think we need any new characters lol

Kira got some serious buffs, Kira is the most represented character for Examu Cup.

No you don't. You would need a common ground PCB for a dual mod, but if you just want it to work with PS4 you can go nuts with a non common ground pcb. The Hori VX is one of the better/easier cheaper sticks to drop sanwa parts in. I'm sure if you search you'll find a guide about it

It was a joke, deal w/ it nerd. I have no idea what's up with that microsoft listing, Microsoft has always had dumb rules about digital releases (Remember when SoTN got special treatment to break the (I believe) 200MB cap on download games? Good times) and the rules when AH3 were that download only games could not be as large as the game was without having a retail disc release. You can't really fault Aksys for not wanting to take a gamble on printing discs for a niche game. Also the wait for LM isn't that long. We waited pretty much half a year waiting for an actual announcement for a date, two months is a drop in the bucket means at least we have a target date (for PSN to go down again for three months)

Aksys says ah3 sold greater than expectations. No 360 release was because of Microsofts rules about digital only game release sizes for games that have no disc release. No physical game release is because it's a much safer release than printing physical copies (cheaper too which is good for a niche game). Could they have released a physical copy? Sure. It's not nearly as safe a move as digital only. Tl;Dr game sold well enough in the US. Blame Microsoft for no 360 release
