  1. Nevermind.. It still has that ability. It's a 5-pointer though. Which is expensive. EDIT: Nightmare got it bad too. 10 points to field it! Also, congrats on 420 posts.

  2. I personally prefer the Witch Coven, p-Goreshade (I have Bane Thralls, after all) and the oh-so-broken Denny. Didn't play Skarre, even though I had her and knew how she works. Anyway, I wish they at least kept the weapon-stealing ability on the Cankerworm. I would have loved to steal one of the Cyclone's new chainguns. Against corroded targets, even regular bullets can do a lot of damage.

  3. No problem. Necrovent was a great ability though... I'm more saddened by the Cankerworm nerfs... It was the closest thing Cryx had to a true light, and not one of those chickens.

  5. Exactly.. I can see the intent when you put on your sunglasses during a wildfire, but we don't feel the need to carry these weird things known as "umbrellas". Unless you plan on using it as your chair/balloon/parachute/servant/door/teatable/weapon.

  6. Well, considering that it's no longer pouring in SD, it's safe to say that mine got lifted too. I mean.. Seriously, who finds a tornado in the southwest corner of the United States? It's like all of those crazy global warming theories popped up and said, "Hey, you guys in SD have it easy all the time with 60-70 degree temperatures all year round.. Let me be a jackass and throw in a twister. If you don't mind..."

  13. It's Warmachine talk. Apparently, both of us and also my brother play the game.

  14. The needlegun I believe can also cause targets to explode into POW 10 AOE 3 corrosion blasts, or heal your caster D3 points. However, the gun itself is POW 14, range 12. Still RAT 5, though, sadly enough. Right now, it looks like a gimmicky sort of thing. It's only real advantage is the arc node shot. Doesn't look like it's worth taking over the spiderjacks. However, it would probably have its uses. EDIT: Now that I think about it, I could see people using this to wipe out infantry clusters with offensive spells channeled from needled arc-node bodies. It probably wouldn't be a viable assassination option because as far as I can tell, the dead guy still follows Arc Node rules (Spells can only be arced through its front 180 degree radius). EDIT2: Also... I'm sad that some of the flavor rules got removed. The Deathjack going nuts because it wasn't fed enough souls and instead goes for your caster was hilarious.

  15. I heard our new shooter fires needles that can grant certain effects. One of them essentially turns the target's dead body into an arc node for a turn..

  16. So they can shoot stuff in melee?.. If they're in melee with a guy that can hit them, they're dead already.. Well, then again, they are sadly Cryx's best shooter solo... Actually, they probably outperform their infantry in shooting too. (revenants, bile thralls) I'm wondering how our spiderjacks are doing in terms of accuracy? And that new one that shoots out needles? Also, 3 pts each for pistol wraiths? That's six mechanithralls for the price of one of these guys.

  17. I noticed.. Second time too.... He barely evaded a ban just yesterday. Anyway, Bane Thralls became good, so now I have a use for my 10. Bane Knights got nerfed, but not too bad. (Vengeance instead of that stupid shadow shift). Heard that Tartarus in MKII is insane.. (Haven't seen his stats yet). My old Cryx jacks (the ones from Prime) are now useful again. Hooray! And pistol wraiths are now suckier due to the increase in the number of magical weapons being carried around. Well, it's been a long time since I played... Not to mention I've never gotten many games in... But so far, I seem to be happy, considering the small collection I have.

  18. I asked my brother to make a "Mittens" themed army because of that fact. So anyway.... Yeah... At least I'm glad that Warmachine MK II is a whole lot more balanced. No more of those "so good it's autoinclude" unit choices.. There are still very good choices in MKII, but none so powerful that you must have them. I'm talking Idrians and the Choir for Menoth, Bile thralls for Cryx, Widowmakers for Khador.

  19. Funny thing.. My brother was actually the one who coined the term "Mittens" for the Retribution.. Speaking of which, he plans on playing that too. Yeah.. When he first saw the mini of that guy with the huge gauntlet, he made a sig calling it "The Retribution of Mittens". Somehow, the term caught on..

  20. Cygnar.. Likes throwing boolets and lightning around.. Plus, he finds his strategies well-suited to it.

  21. Well, I only use this username for this place and for my Steam games. Everywhere else, I use something penguin-related. Only other person I know of who uses this username is my brother on the Privateer Press forums.. Considering that he's an incredible Warmachine player, I wouldn't be surprised if someone thought I was him.

  23. But think about it.. "Sol BADGUY" Just imagine him waiting for something, and the receptionist calls his name. "Will a Mr. Badguy please come forward to the front desk?" Imagine how awkward that would be!
