Ahhh, air semi-unblockable change is nice. I hope this means they give moves which were only really useful outside of combos for air unblockable property(bang 6c) more use.

The converters I have only work with PS2 sticks, PS2 pads, and PS3 pads, sadly. Otherwise I'd just buy a ps3 stick I've heard certain sticks work with them though. maybe one day i'll find a good, well-priced ps3 stick -> 360 converter Well, that's only particularly useful if you can hit confirm 5b/5c CH into 3c. Though, at least you can do 5b 5c 2c and then D pressuer.

Extra sticks, sure. Consoles, nah. You may want to bring converters for flexibility, and maybe a ps3 copy of BB just in case Tomato forgets hers. Our only issue this meetup is lack of tvs, not consoles. If we only have 2 setups, we'll have 7 people at most. Regardless, the abundance of parry catches and blocking that whole muugen mixup(high low high high low low high high high low high) is A+++. Nice! p.s. Note that her 2d is air unblockable as well as level 3 5d. Her 6b is air unblock too, but not quite as useful as bang's 5c being air unblock. Still, shoullddd fuck chicken blockers if you do it correctly on wakeup. You can go to 6a from 5b, not just 6a to 5b, on block. Cant go back the same way you just did, tho. Speaking of 6a, be sure not to only use 6b after 5c©, or it becomes too predictable. 6a goes into 6b on block as well, and is also a frametrap like 5c-6b IIRC. Additionally, 6c is good if you land a blocked 5b or whatever but are barely out of range to continue pressure with 6a/6b/5c. Note that it's only cancellable into specials on block though, nothing else. lastly, blockstring->236a->dash in 2aa->tick throw :3 Also, that AH3 video has some good Kamui footage from AH3. First two are due to big paper stuff and tests, third one is because of geology field trip. The thing with the geo field trip is that he gives us 4 midterms, a final, and a geo field test assignment thing. He takes the best 4 grades. So with 3 good midterms(i already beat the shit out of 2 so far) and with the geo field trip assignment, I wouldn't have to worry about the other test and the final, and geo is a lot of reading so doing the trip would save me more time than it takes. Still, I might be able to host that friday. Just depends on how my homework is around that time. I'll know like november 5th.

Less than a year before CT came out, I assumed 2d fighting games were shit for no reason and just played SC4/Brawl/CvS2 casually. A friend of mine talked to me about it a bit. He was all like "Look at these instant kills! Game is anime as FUCK." I was not impressed by the astrals, but regardless I went and found gameplay footage. I saw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Qy_uW2lpfA (Thanks hecatom~) and was immediately impressed and excited. I then searched for footage of other 2d fighters that weren't SF, primarily GG and MB, and was fairly hyped. I was pleased by the characters, combos, and the fact that these games still used 2d graphics. I always got annoyed when people equated sprites with "bad graphics" regardless of aesthetics. I tried GGXX#Reload on the PC and liked it, though I felt it was rather "hard" for some reason and was glad to hear people say BB was easier to get into.(Not exactly sure what I felt was hard about it..maybe it was the lack of special move descriptions?) I ended up renting CT, buying it, moving from playing it very casually to wanting to learn as much about the game as possible, and yeah. Pretty fucking happy that I was brought into this genre, as it is now my favorite.
