Come to meetups to have satisfying matches and hang out with awesome people. Fuck netplay and fuck playing with newbs at your university. I have not even heard of it until now.. also, when you say you're moving, do you mean out of town or..? Next meetup is this saturday at my place, 2pm-midnight. This is the last weekend meetup I will ever get to host. Please come! Because commencement is this week, there may be some issues parking, so read the following if you are driving. They do this stupid shit each year where they stop people from going into phase 3 from drive A. ( https://www.utdallas.edu/maps/ ) However, you can still park pretty close by going into phase 1 from phase 2(i dunno if they let people go into phase 1 from drive A during commencement) and parking there or parking in lot I. I think they also stop doing that nonsense after like 4pm. Also, I am giving away a lot of my furniture before I move from this apartment in late may. After that I will be living with my parents for a month before moving out of Texas. Please come to that meetup!! Also, there are some things I wont take with me when I am moving out, such as my futon. I will be offering some things like that to people to have for free. I will make a more detailed list soon and ask if anyone wants them, and people can drop by around the 25th to take them. sup OJ~~ that was harakiri tiger, aka oscar :D the only person i can think of is Ro but she is out of town for a while now and hasnt been as active recently :x maybe someone else is actually close enough but i cant really think of who right now.. if you dont mind driving to dallas we are willing to teach people at meetups. there's people who only started playing gg/bb only recently who would be a decently close level for you. not as convenient/flexible/good as a nearby training partner, but it is something.

had a ton of fun matches on gundamexvs netplay with metal, kevin, and dances. looking forward to tomorrow. me, jet, cookie, and sunfish+oscar(monitor+ps3) will bring setups. 2 for gg tourney, 2 for casuals in the BYOC.(Hopefully arriving at 12AM lets us secure space in the BYOC area!) i was going to make shoutouts but i forgot to. anyway, shoutouts to gundam EXVS and litchi for being fun as hell. So, saturday we're going to go to austin. Transient will drive some people, tomato/sunfish will drive some people, and randomnaoto will go get woofx7. The plan is that we'll leave dallas saturday morning and will arrive in time for the tourney. Then, tomato/sunfish will headback to dallas at night, while those going with transient will split a hotel room and stay in austin overnight. If you're interested and havent been contacted yet about going, please let me know, I only really contacted people who i thought were likely. I may have just forgotten certain people, too. Looks like we'll have me, oso, oscar, woofx7, transient, tomato, sunfish, randomnaoto, and maybe kevin.

You can do stuff besides just aggressively rushing in all the time. You can definitely play lame, although it depends a lot on the matchup. Mess with carl/litchi/lambda. I would not recommend bang. Also, things like spacing and playing defensively properly are still very important and rewarding, but it is just different than in Tekken/other games. You'll understand over time. Also, when fighting players with good reactions who don't panic, the game won't seem drastically in favor of offense in most matchups. Mixup and reward for mixup is just sort of differently designed than in Tekken.
