  1. Awww... I go to Concord today for work. I wish I could make it though. As for the Drom's BBCS tournament, that sounds nice. At least you are trying to get BB:CS hype here in Sacramento/Davis. I'll see if I can go to that one.
  2. Hrmmm... Concord is about an hour away from Sunnyvale... I don't know if I can make it... I want to really badly too...
  3. Quick question. I might be staying in Concord for 3 days and I was thinking of heading out to SVGL. What time does Arcade Mania start there? 6PM? If you see an Asian guy with a lifeguard shirt on, that will be me. I'll also bring my scrubby Tsubaki/Hakumen.
  4. Then Sac should have a BB:CS session. There's too many SSFIV sessions going on, and I do not want to play SSFIV too much anymore.
  5. At least Rachel is being like super buffed. Yay! Tsubaki's charge is also being buffed, and I'm looking forward to that.
  6. Roseville Golfland Sunsplash. SacAnime was meh. I brought some friends so I can at least have more fun. For the most part, I stayed in the game room, either playing BB:CS, SSFIV, Beatmania IIDX, Takio Drum Master and loled at the Brawl/Melee players. I really can't understand how to play that competitively.... Mashing A and B is all I see.
  7. *Profound Sadness* No more Technika at RGL. They are not going to fix it anymore. That's the only game I played besides IIDX... The really need a freakin' BB:CS cabie there if they are taking away Technika. I really wouldn't mind a SSFIV cabie if it meant at least having a new fighting game there. SCII is broke, KoF is broke, T5:BR is broke, and the CvS cabie was sold. They still have Initial D 4, when they already should have ID5, IIDX needs to be upgraded to Empress, their DDR pads need to be fixed, and their Wangan Midnight 3 DX cabs needs to have 4 operable cabs instead of 2. RGL sucks.... and yet, why do I work as a lifeguard there, i don't know anymore...
  8. @ natearistata : Just practice, you can't get everything down 100% when you start on a stick. Even though BB:CS is lenient in it's command outputs, it's not SSFIV lenient. I training mode, there should be an option to see your movement when playing. Watch what you are doing when you are trying to get a 2C>623C, and you can get a better understanding of what you are doing when you are playing on your stick.
  9. SacAnime was meh to me when I went there last year. That was my first time going. It just takes a while to wade through the weeboos playing as Sakura in SFIV or Noel in BB:CT, (Both for obvious reasons of secretly wanting to be one of them) and it was okay. Not the best, but I've seen a lot better.
  10. ....Maybe I should of kept the SacAnime list off this.... Oh well, I somehow knew this was going to happen.
  11. I don't think people particularly care about this, but Sac Anime is coming up and here is the schedule for their tournaments. 12. ^^ I'd go with both.
  13. Depending on what arcade stick you are using in the arcades. If it was a bat-top and used concave buttons, then you used an American arcade stick (generally Happ or IL Suzo) If it was ball-top with convex buttons, then it was a Japanese arcade stick (generally Sanwa or Seimistsu) MadCatz Fight Stick Tournament Edition uses a Japanese layout with full Japanese parts for the buttons and stick. It takes a while for someone to go from a console pad to a stick, it's normal for players who really haven't played it in the arcades before, or on an arcade stick in general. All I can say is to get used to it, play on it more, and practice, practice, practice. It's probably best to ask about the dual-modding in the SRK.com - The Official Cthulhu and ChImp thread and ask Toodles about your HRAP EX-SE. As for the LS-32, IIRC, if you have both the blue gate and the greenish gate, but the blue gate on the bottom and put the green square gate on top, it should work. I'll see about it.
  14. So much Tohou love right here. Great sticks.
  15. Masrap? Oh, ikaw ay nagsasalita na tagalog?... Ano ba huh?
  16. WHAT THE FUUUUUUUu!?! We have a NEWER-ER thread? Phails to the max. Anywho, what's up people? Just got back from playing so much Tohou. I finally got the '09 collection and started playing it. It's GDLK. If only Nor-Cal can be that GDLK.... *sigh*
  17. I <3 the Mike template. *Edit* I meant Miku.... I fail...
  18. The MadCatz Website usually has a monthly sale on their sticks. Don't know when the next one is though. You can also check on Amazon.com or go to Ebay.com to find a used one. You can also check out the Trading Outlet Thread on shoryuken.com. People sell a lot of stuff there, and you can also post a thread in the Trading Outlet if you meet the criteria.
  19. X-acto knife or a razor blade is fine. When cutting holes into the art, I basically cut an "X" into the hole and cut out each triangle piece by piece, this way, you won't have to tear much of the art off. The same thing for the turbo panel. Also try to keep the blade as vertical as much as possible, to get good, clean cuts.
  20. ^ ^ Thanks, but I'm still no good to be honest, I'm just glad my recent art wasn't cut into pieces because I haven't cut art in quite a while
  21. I have a lot so bare with me please. Currently working on : MDF Wood Case from satek on shoryuken.com Sanwa OBSF-30s and 24s buttons Seimistu LS-32 Joystick Tupperware Stick : PSX Pad Hack Sanwa OBSF-30s and 24s buttons Seimistu LS-32 Joystick Custom 31mm Dustwasher courtesy of Art from tek-innovations.com Case made out of Tupperware Art is from Black Rock Shooter MadCatz Tournament Edition Fight Stick and various art : ChImp Dual Mod in TE :
  22. Are you talking about the MadCatz Fight Stick Standard Edition (SE for short), correct? The SE is cheap because it uses knock-off Sanwa parts. Same goes with the Hori stick that you are looking at for the same price. The SE parts work for a good while, but crap out after a lot of usage. Unlike the knock-offs, real arcade parts, like Sanwa or Seimistsu buttons and joysticks, last for a very, very long time. You can buy a SE and then mod it to make it Japanese Arcade Standard like the Madcatz Fight Stick Tournament Edition (TE) or the Hori Real Arcade Pro (HRAP), but by then it'll cost the same amount to buy a TE.
  23. Thanks, shows how much I am on this thread....
  24. This and maybe an art thread. You guys locked the BB Stick Art thread, and even though there were posts there that weren't BB Art-related, it was the only thread that we had to post anything stick art-related.
