  1. Yeah, I'm not very good though. I'm working on my fundamentals. :kitty: We're both in California though so it might not be such a bad connection. I'll add you on XBL.

  2. I like pretty much everything they show on Adult Swim. I've only caught a few episodes of Xavier but it cracked me up.

  3. ROFL @ Xavier in your XBL avatar!

  4. Yeah, it's so sad how they had to rush to finish the series. I wonder if it'd be better if it was just left alone though. I watched some of that cartoon "Sit Down Shut Up" because Mitch Hurwitz, Jason Bateman, and Will Arnett were involved in it. It was alriiiight. As far as the movie goes, it's probably taking so long to write the script because it's so hard to live up to those 3 seasons of AD, lol. You're right, our connection would probably be pretty bad, but we should try at least a few matches. (after I get good at this game) :kitty:

  5. Added as friend! :D You're only the second person who's noticed that. I got a random message from someone on XBL about it once, lol. Sooo, have you heard there's a movie coming? IMDB says 2012 :gonk:

  6. I didn't like the infinite in CT, so I love the new Carl. I just hope I can learn him really well before they change things. 5B does less damage than 5C and 6B, it prorates the same as 6B, but worse than 5C. Would this just be handy for spacing and style points? ZONG EDIT: One day I'll learn. D:
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XE3ATxHr1O0 I don't think it's the same combo, but here's 5.9K meterless from FC j.B. Edit: I watched that video before but I can't right now. If he uses Fermata at the end of those I apologize. Double Edit: Just watched it again, and it does end with Fermata. Oops. :shy:
  8. Yo, what time are you going to FFA? I'm thinking about whether I should go. I thought it was about the same distance as AI but Google Maps says 1 hour and 45 minutes. :gonk:

  9. Nah, we've never met. I've only been to AI on the weekend. The few times that I went to play CS the people playing weren't very chatty. I've been wanting to go more though, because nailing things in training and then failing online makes me rage, lol. Also, BlazBlue is my first fighting game so I need to play good people to learn general things like punishing and blocking well. I'll try and go on a Monday or Thursday. I'll hit you up before I'm going.

  10. Arrghh, I can't. I live over an hour away so I'd need more notice. What's going on tonight?

  11. Sure, you're having the same problem everyone has when they start using Carl. Just don't neglect Nirvana and eventually using her as well as Carl will be second nature.
  12. Hey Mika, if you haven't already you should learn this: Catch someone in the air and summon Nirvana (you get like 30 mins to do this I think so no rush). Knock them back up with 2C (if you do this too early they can tech), immediately do 236A, then hit them back toward Nirvana with 1C, only while you're waiting for them to fly toward you hold 1D to walk Nirvana toward you. Then, 2C->8D shenanigans... You get mad style points, it's an easy way to get people into the clap loop no matter where Nirvana is, and it'll help you practice the buffering we were talking about.
  13. And 3D looks like she's pissing me off! I never intentionally do 3D.
  14. Because it looks like Nirvana's dancing I think. I'll let someone else answer. I wasn't too sure to begin with. I'm new to all this as well.
  15. Yup. I think the technical term for it is buffering.
  16. As long as a particular move isn't assigned to the corner (1,3,7, or 9) you can use that to do the move assigned to 2 or 8. Two good examples: When you want to IAD then j.2C quickly, the input would be 96>j.3C Also, when raising the roof, if you want to walk Nirvana toward you while the opponent is falling use 1C. It's good stuff, and essential to good Carl play I think.
  17. Yeah, and unfortunately between work and school I only get to play at night when I'm drinking and playing on XBL with my buddies (Haku and Bang). Usually the drinking ruins me but I had the most amazing night playing after like 6 beers once, lol. Anyway, do you play BB at the arcade at all? Have you tried Infinity Arcade in Rowland Heights?
  18. I use 9]D[ when I go for the regular non-whiff loop, I'm just programmed to hit B+C then let go of D. I'll see if I can flip that around.
  19. I'll have to try that again sometime. I figured this is what I had to do but I recall not being able to do the 8D between the dash and the grab at all.
  20. I could never figure out exactly what 'early' meant and gave up. Playing online I don't run into many really good players so I do quite well without even using the throw loop. As someone else on here said (forgot who and don't wanna look for it), "the best thing to do in a laggy game is ground loop someone to death".
  21. Hey! My Carl improved so much after we played. But since school started...you know. It's like when I don't play, I get rusty, and Nirvana literally gets rusty. Anyway, I don't want to get this thread too off topic. I just had to post math shenanigans. It took a discussion of physics to convince this engineering major to finally register.
  22. What concerns me most is that the added weight of the zipper in question should increase the force applied by Carl on whatever he lands on according to the formula Force = (Mass)(Gravity). Thus, the damage should be higher. In fact, if you solve the formula: I think it becomes quite clear that we Carl players are getting shafted. Hello Carls, I'm Angel. I've played one or two of you on XBL and I lost, good times.
