Your sister plays very still-standing Ky Still, very nice played for being drunk. I can hardly hit that pin loop while sober

Luckily for those having problems with it - the ice spike FRC is becoming less and less used. In #R you could basically just loop it in the corner for huge damage. But with the proration it got in Slash, doing it more than once is just not worth it unless the opponent has really, really low health. For Slash Dizzy, it really only has 3 practical applications: 1) Some okis might require you to summon immediately after KD (i.e. homing pike IAD in corner, H fish midscreen crossup bullshit) but those are better off throw or 2H anyways 2) Transporting opponent into corner - i.e. midscreen combo to ice spike FRC IAD j.H |> f.S ice spike or just ice spike FRC dash f.S ice spike. The former is almost always guaranteed to get them to the corner, but it's not doable on every character, and those that are all have different timing (practice on Anji, he's really easy). 3) Safing a missed/bursted ice spike As for the timing itself, well, I don't really know. There are some audiovisual cues you can use, (like, the echo, how far the opponent flies). The FRC timing is practically twice that of the startup time, so you can imagine a second ice spike being summoned once the first one is out, and hit FRC just as the hypothetical second one comes out. But really, if you want to master it, it's all about practice, practice, practice. Get it down to muscle memory. Fortunately, it's almost the same timing for every gatling > ice spike, but it's way off from just plain ice spike (which is hardly ever used anyways). Use the cues at first, but really, you should aim for not being dependant on them at all. Being forced to concentrate on your animation/some sound may not be a handicap for you, but it can never be good for you

It doesn't disappear when Tesu's hit, so you'll either have to wait it out (601F) or disarm it. I haven't played Jam that much, so don't hold me too much to this, but I do believe Dizzy has about an even chance against Jam. Generally, parrying won't do much for Jam against fish pressure (it's just her way of signaling "throw me" ) I believe I remember 2S taking pretty much any air attack Jam can throw at you except for upside-down srk and legs on fire. Likewise, it's pretty easy to stop her hyappu-bullshit. If Jam DOES land anything Dizzy dies pretty easily though, and Jam dominates Dizzy in air-to-air. I can't find anything that beats her j.S clean, at the very best it's a trade and Jam j.S CH definitely puts her in a better position then whatever dizzy managed to land (probably j.K) and from there she can probably kill/dizzy you pretty easy. That wall stick-shit is not so much about health as it is about Dizzy being dizzied almost guaranteed though.

That's not a very likely scenario A testament with dolls is hardly likely to spam powered-up traps, he wants to make sure they can be used in combos / will land, especially since webs are much better now (unmashable). So more likely he'll plant one trap at a time and then try to force you into it (either baiting you with a blockstring that leaves him wide open just on top of a tree, hoping you'll try to counter him, trying throw you into them etc) until he gets to combo them on you and then it'll hurt I forgot to add to my point above that Testament doesn't need tension (except the FRC) to do the BL loop, and he did need tension to EXE loop in Slash, so that's an advantage for him for sure. But I do believe j2S is going to be very effective at disarming webs around. A superjump airdash j2S should be able to disarm most of his crap, but beware of Testa trying jump after you for the kill. If he lands a CH j.D then it's game over

I don't agree on CD assessment on the Testament matchup. Yes, his pokes are better than Dizzy's but they are not better than in Slash. Fact is, 6K got worse (yay) and 6P won't be that great as an AA against Dizzy. I definetily think that dizzy came out ahead of Testament with her new j2S versus his new 6P - it's like a slower version of Dizzys 2S with a worse hitbox. That said, at the range he can combo into badlands loop he could already combo into EXE loop to knockdown and crow with similar damage. The big difference is that he's going to have a harder to land crow, and that there's a chance the fish will stay out and stop him from advancing. Overall, that's a better trade. Basically, I think this match is very similar to the Slash matchup except Dizzy is more scary when she gets the knockdown and Testament is less scary. Dizzy needs to keep moving and disarming and Testament needs to play more offensively - I'm still saying 5-5 Also japs say 5-5

This thread could have waited a few weeks, but a few predictions: Baiken In Slash Dizzy owned baiken in the air and could play pretty even with her when both were on the ground. Ground play is clearly in Baikens advantage now, so this matchup is against Dizzy. Slayer This is even more retarded keepaway than before. Still pretty even because Dizzy can run away better than before. Anji If Dizzy can capitalize on her unguardpointable attacks, she wins. She is also one of the better characters to bait guardpoint counters. Dizzy wins. Testament EXE punish on summons just got a whole lot less scary. Testament loses a lot of his scary lockdown thanks to crow being harder to land. Generally, this matchup favors Dizzy a whole lopt more than the Slash matchup did. I'm going to call it even

To expand on what Ice Prince said: 1. Anything that can hit the opponent can pop the bubble, which is everything from Dizzy, and Faust's ambiguous attacks (bomb bag, super bomb) 2. It's the same as Slash, which is still bad, but not as bad as the early rumors about her.
-
I agree with this. FB Bubble's biggest use will primarily be the scare tactics and forcing the opponent to play more careful for a while. Just raising a finger of warning, because I've seen Dizzys go out of their way to pop ordinary bubbles only to eat punishment. In a similar vein, I've seen both Testament and Faust lose their initiative because they're too afraid to lose poison/crow on the opponent. It's sorta similar, only the other way around
-
Worth looking into. If you can get that airdash while the opponent still is down you will have excellent crossup opportunities, and unlike Testament's skull mark, they can't tech from the bubble hitting you. Just don't ever do it against DP friendly characters. It might also be easier to to do from a 2d since you can get the bubble out faster One thing I realized when I thought about how to use the FB bubble is that landing it is not all sunshine. Since the bubble will stay on the opponent for a short time, there's a big chance the Dizzy player will attack recklessly just to get that hit before it disappears. If the opponent is ready for this, they'll have an easy time baiting attacks and punishing her - except for in a very few select situations. So in many cases it's either wasted tension or risky play

Of course most people haven't been able to play AC yet, but don't act like know everything about AC dizzy just because you've been "messing around", because it's obvious hat you don't. Since when was Dizzy NOT about thinking ahead? This is true for every projectile in the game. But unlike most people, dizzy can coordinate her blockstrings with her fish and thus have her normals still increase the guard bar, and that's going to work even better with extended fish rushes. mhmm, during this "year", did you happen to notice how the fish will travel forward? Did you also happen to notice how, if rush behind it with dizzy, the laser fish will act as a shield stay just in front of dizzy until the laser is fired? This is true AC Dizzy pressure in corner which ends with incredibly good mixups doesn't require an ounce of tension, and you only have to see it once to know how to do it. You might need some creativity if you want to alter it. That's it. It's more like 1.75 seconds, but whatever. Nailing the opponent to the corner for 1.75 seconds with pressure is not a hard feat at all., especially if you have prepared which you usually have time for for after a KD - not that it matters because AC dizzy will get to the "kill you" mixups with just one fish setup in the corner. Lol at "Dizzy's old trap sequences". Her new ones work just fine. You DO realize the reason so many AC dizzy were losing in the beginning was because they were playing her too much like Slash, right? Repeat after me: THAT SETUP SUCKS. Not only is it incredibly boring, but if the opponent knows how to handle it, they will ALWAYS block it in the right direction - 100% guaranteed, even if you do try to fake it with a bubble. It's that bad, yet people are always hailing it like the best setup ever. j2S add a fast way to hit crouching opponents as well as a non-bugged crossup where there isn't a "trick" to blocking it. Like I said, she gained a WORKING crossup. And her corner laser setups are definitily stronger. She will gain a shield until the first laser is fired. A p fish extension will attack the enemy from behind for the first bite. She can lockdown for longer and she has an easier time getting to those really nasty mixups. I don't see how this is weaker at all. Ahaha, "it's only great at practically every application it is meant for, but besides that it's not very good" ahahahahaha Please tell me what other move she already has that does that I'm not going to touch the FB bubble subject since it seems like a waste of tension to me. Please explain why. Also everybody already knows Dizzy AC frame data, but I guess you had a reason for posting it? I don't think "improving" really qualifies as "screwing over" She does lose it

No IK mode, the input is 2 (charge) 8462 H+P The reason they do the respect is so she won't jump away while they're doing the input

Dizzy instakill. It's really worthless, but eh http://cgi.www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~k1102tennsi/ggxxfile/cgi/dlcount.cgi?url=ggxxfile/tikara.zip;name=tikara youtube mirror http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79QmN0ZMyhE

Dizzy IK: Worthless as hell it would seem, but still pretty cool. http://cgi.www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~k1102tennsi/ggxxfile/cgi/dlcount.cgi?url=ggxxfile/tikara.zip;name=tikara http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79QmN0ZMyhE

It is now obvious that the real reason for necro input change was so that she could easily taunt when she won

Hey, could some of you guys possibly uncheck "deny slow connections"? There are lots of people in here who I see in the lobby and I want to play against, but just barely miss the requirements for a "fast connection", and it's really annoying because at around 140 ping, you still get very good speed. If someone who connects to you really does give lousy speed, you will notice pretty much as soon as you hit character select, or at the very least in the beginning of the first round. And if that happens, simply soft reset before you can be accused of dropping for win streak. ..Please?

Nehle |EUR-NEHLE|Lund, Sweden|delay 4 Oh boy I complete forgot how to play #R Edit: Would the people who lose against me kindly stop disconnecting just when I win?

FAB FDB on point-blank Nightmare Circular = COOL AS FUCK Not so sure. Yukinose does have a tendency of winning SBO, though I don't think he's won a match in the finals yet. He's a good-luck charm.

Press the E at the same time as the others. 236CE is just that, quarter circle forward motion then C and E at the same time. CDE is pressing all three at the same time. That'll make you do the move right in the middle of the boost. It's also what makes the 236C connect, since you'll reach much further

How do you manage to land this combo? I can't ever land the 236D after j.C, I have to do D 236D IAD j.C to land it, and then I only manage three repetitions, after which I either have to do 236DE to continues or just finish with 236236A. Help would be very eppreciated Also, after Musou Tensei, you can parry low attacks by hitting down (just down, not down-forward or anything like that) when they hit. Thought I'd add it because it doesn't say in the OP

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to call it on the Dizzy translation - too much stuff got in the way. If someone wants to pick it up, that would be great http://nehle.net/dizzy.htm that's how far I got. It's made from an Excel document designed to mimic the layout of the mook.
