    is dizzy alive?

Beyond Ice Spike FRC and 2D special cancel (especially 2D > 421S) and maybe the bubble loop - and you wont need most of those for the basic game - dizzy is pretty easy on the technical execution side. The hard part is working with generally inferior/risky pokes and risky summons. That means you have to rely a lot on mind games and superior positioning to get the job done. And you absolutely have to take the chance to rape them from that knockdown.

    is dizzy alive?

I started with XX Ky, then moved to Dizzy at the end of #Reload. But honestly, every character is fun once you know them. ^^ Always good to see new Dizzy players here though. Don't be afraid to ask anything, this forum may be rather dead, but at least I still play very much.
  3. Maybe you should look in the appropriate threads Dizzy vs Venom Dizzy vs Sol

    AC+ Specific Bugs

The rising animation has a large hitbox. It can be avoided by low FD on wakeup IIRC. I know Dizzy can do a silly unblockable loop on Anji in the corner using the same principle - ice spike FRC dash in taunt > combo > ice spike frc - but he dodges it if he does a low FD, and it doesn't work with all her voice sets.
  5. In that situation you should throw out a dagger while waiting for her to come down. It really limits her air movement, and there's a chance you get a setup for a bubble loop.
  6. Yea, what woki said. Her j2HS is easily beaten by 2s is you know the timing. But you gotta make sure that you will pull it off. If may is pressuring you and making an immediate j2H from a jump for example, odds are your reaction won't be good enough and your anti-air attempt will be a free CH for may instead. ggs. A few more notes on this matchup: * When May is jumping around and above you, dagger (But don't try to anti-air with it) * Save your tension for those FD blocks and one-frame jumps. You really need it * May rises retardedly fast, so adjust your oki accordingly * Blocked / dashed over 3k is guaranteed 2H CH, don't let her get away with a cheaper punish than that

Two new casuals if anyone is interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE6bLUbdX8g&feature=channel_page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COWbMsecR0o&feature=channel_page
  8. So skyrape added me on MSN. We haven't had time to talk yet (Was in Stockholm for Real Life GG this weekend) but I'm sure it'll be done soon.
  9. Sign me up for reload europe, but I can't play anything between 8-24th of August, as I'm in Japan then People have said this for over a year now, and yet no visible progress whatsoever.
  10. Between slash an AC? Quite a lot actually Every character has been changed. most of them quite a bit. All voices have been re-recorded. All stages have been redrawn Force Break has been added Slashback has been added Throw break has been added And probably more I forgot to mention

  11. Here is something I've been working on. In corner: 6C(2-hit) IAD j.C j.D land 5B 6D j.D 5B 5C 214A 214D Of course you'll have to figure out how to get to that 6C sine the only thing it chains from is 5C on hit, or A/2A, but almost any character can land a poke in between It gives a guaranteed guard crash on Noel, but it has an approximate 6f window between 6C and j.C (if you time it perfectly you should have 16f blocktun -4f jump startup -6f IAD startup -12f j.C startup) so anyone with decent reflexes and a good AA will get out of it, but it might surprise someone if used sparingly. You might also be able to mindgame them with an ID instead of j.C for sweet counterhit or guaranteed death if they block it Since I don't actually have my own PS3 yet, it's a tad hard to do extensive testing. But hopefully someone can build on it. Or maybe it's just total crap ;(
  12. Really? I played a good litchi recently. It was pretty epic, and my god, that stupid reach of her is just.... argh! I'm sorry, I can't remember what song that is at the moment. I'm not the one who compiled the music for that edition. if I see the guy who did, I can ask him

  13. haha, yeah, I guess. I just wanted a change of style though. Less legging it and more rushing that shit down! Caer plays Noel, and a pretty good one at that. I had a few hours headstart on him, but we're pretty equal now. Also, OmniJapanese s great fun to play with, though Arakune is bleh for Ragna ;(

  14. Yes, actually, I do. Why do you find that hard to believe? ^^ And who told you?

  15. I'm gonna lock this thread since it is about EX mode. The "trick" is not very good and on the whole it's just an awfully redundant thread.
  16. Use them for zoning, not for anti-air
  17. They were probably accidentally pruned sometime ago, after they were de-stickied. Maybe GB can help you recover them.
  18. Don't mash buttons at every opportunity, sometimes it's better just to block. Especially with Robo, where a couple of IBs can get you to level3 in no time. Against an opponent who likes to take to the sky so much, zone more with knee rocket.
  19. 3on3 Semi finals and on Man I suck at commenting games. Also, one of the semis we had problems capping, so only the last match recorded

Baiken's 6K doesn't have enough invulenerability to take it. As it's active for 20f and dizzy is strike invulnerable for the first 14, which is easily enough to take out Baikens 6K no matter how she times it. Jam's 6H has 22 frames of throw invuln, so it's a real bitch to time against it.
  21. SBO Qualifiers Since this was played as a round-robin, we've put the videos in a somewhat random order
  22. 2p is lvl1 and 2k is lvl2 making 2p slightly better for tick throws, and 2k slightly better for filling gaps. For me personally, I prefer doing 2k CH > 5h if someone tries to poke my fish, rather than going for say 2p CH > 2k > 2d Then of course it's a matter of the simply beating different kinds of pokes, take the Jam matchup DI 2p > JA 2s > DI 2k > JA 6p > DI 2p And of course, both Testament and Jonny can actually dash over 2k
  23. Showdown 4 Singles Tournament Top8 Look forward to Teams and SBO quals!
  24. I'm actually gonna go ahead and disagree with the keeping it simple stuff. If you're playing casuals, you should try to go for the more advanced stuff to try and learn how to nail it in a match. Sure, it's good to get the grasp for it in training mode, but it's a whole other beast to nail it consitently in matches. In tournaments, of course you don't want to risk experimenting with new or advanced stuff, but casuals are a gold mine for learning what works and when. As well as getting your execution up. At the very least, you should try to go for IBing familiar blockstrings. Maybe even try to find some places where you can slashback. But also try new counters against opponents' setups as well as new setups and more advanced techniques. The only thing you can lose is the round or match, but you can gain a lot more knowledge in the process.
