  1. Oh hm, last step to making BB into BB:CS: we'll need at least 2 Xbox 360 arcade sticks or stick with Cthulu boards, 4 to run two setups efficiently. And we should also consider the team tourney, and money matches that have been talked about. Meaning, we need 4 360 sticks ( 1 for each setup) that can be dedicated to BB on any day BB is included! This also includes having the respective USB dongle! I can try and steal one of those from a roommate's pad but that's not a guarantee. Send me a PM if you're willing to dedicate a 360 stick so we can make sure we don't have some ridiculous run around the day of, or if you have one but would need me to make a USB cord disappear from my roommie's 360...
  2. I really would like it if anyone that entered the tourney we ran on CS a few weeks back, would mind sharing if they would enter another CS tourney like that, or if it should be CT. edit: Also wondering if Circ would be willing to bring his setup if we ran CS instead.
  3. Posting this over here too... since this tourney is in Ohio afterall Nathan needs some input posted in the powerup2010 thread about what to do with BB. I could say what I'd want to do but I think it's more important for you any of you guys that are coming to get your 2cents in.
  4. Really bad news. I can't make it to MWC. The ride I was going with ended up kind of not working out and I don't really have the means to pay for greyhound or anything right now. Sorry man. See you at Power Up?

  5. JackG: I left that 360 connector with Jesse.
  6. I do have 1, but it isn't an extra one. Which is making me think that I might have put the one I have on Kyle's stick and he has that one... I'll be at AL tomorrow night so you can either stop by, or I'll leave it with Jesse. Even if it turns out it's not the right one, I really don't need it at the moment.
  7. Hmm, no one posted for this match up yet?! Not much has changed from CT except now Carl players don't have just 1 goal in mind and you can actually use your health bar now to feel okay taking a few risks since 1 mistake won't lose the round anymore. Defense and patience are both still very important but do not forget Tager's 2C's/AC's new head invulnerability and definitely do not forget counter assault if you find yourself stuck in an unblockable setup. Namely if you get stuck against gear super in the corner and Carl RC's to do a walk up fully charged overhead unblockable. Just instant block that super to get all the heat you'd need to CA out of that (You should get about 40 heat from it ). 2C stuff's Crossups behind Tager if you can predict he'll be going for it. Most of the time Carl is going to want to do a crossup to get you sandwiched between him and the Doll. Fuck that shit up since it will be much harder to poke back at all when you're in between him and the Doll. Also, Carl's doll's multi-hit sweep is only low on the first hit. Block it once and get ready for whatever overhead shenanigan they had in mind. If you are having trouble playing defense in this match up then realize that Carl will be delivering the faster mix ups. His Doll's moves are much more telegraphed so keep the focus on what Carl is up to himself. Don't try to jump out unless you notice the doll is up to something either otherwise you'll eat a clap. Combo specifics: Do EGadget instead of BGadget in this match since it's 100 times easier to land if you want Gadget Finger. Now for my questions: When can I fight back when I'm stuck between the doll and Carl? Instant blocking the doll's punch is a good start, but are there any other good times to the fight back my way? I've noticed blocking Carl's overhead is usually a good time to attempt a 360/720. Especially if the doll had just performed some other attack. And if you're getting air juggled in the corner, how do you get out or get back to the ground safely? I learned he has a Tager only unblockable setup if the doll and him corner you. He'll juggle you up and do a !! throw. If you don't tech it you'll get bounced off a clap to another !! throw CT style, but if you do tech the throw he can jump back up and spam j.A on you. Forcing you to block and stay floating in the air for another clap to connect before you can land to block it. Options?
  8. DESTROYED Good games to anyone I played in BB. I like to write shout outs... To Mario Kart (The game): I saw that shit. First you put me on rainbow road and we all know how broken that stage is. Then I slide off. On wake up I get back on my wheels and, there's a meaty turtle shell slowly going backwards that hits me, followed up by Donkey Kong comboing me off the side again. That shit only worked because of that laggy projector!! Kyle: Thanks for Mario Kart. Also great matches throughout the day. Sorry if I was sounding frustrated at points. I was executing terribly all day and it was starting to get to me. It was basically a lesson in making sure I practice in the days before tournaments so basic shit doesn't suddenly become an issue. Also making sure to remember match up specific things like, the elbow drop into gadget being the best way to combo into it on Carl. Thanks for the match up lessons. That Tager only unblockable in the corner is pretty crazy. I remember just staying in block forever in the corner one time just because I knew jumping would've meant eating another clap. Tager Blocking Awl Dei ... and then he sticks his hand out with that shy looking 2A. He's such a nerd. Effenhoog: Sorry for making being able to sit down and play Arcana with Matt nearly impossible. You had about 4 BB matches in a row because you were the only person that did not enter Mario Kart so you were the only one really available to play your matches half of the time. Your Lambda-11 was a welcome surprise though! Good work!
  9. Yo, come anyway if you want and I'll cover it for you if you show up.
  10. Hey, it'd be good if we could get some commitment for two Xbox360 sticks. Right?
  11. Still regretting missing Frosty Faustings. Fuck Greyhound. Still
  12. He challenged us to a 5v5 $100 In BB though... lol
  13. I'll be there today with the rest of the BB folks. Should get there around 5-6.
  14. Blindfold play tournament with someone acting as your coach? For BB... could do a silly unlimited character tournament... but honestly I don't want to pay money for that DLC. Had the stupid idea for a tourney where your opponent gets to set all the buttons on the arcade stick to whatever he wants as long as he includes A B C D somewhere and anything goes for the rest.
  15. Apparently Aerial CH J.D is an amazing combo starter if you can score it. Meterless Combo J.D Aerial CH > 6A > AC > AC whiff > 6C > j.2C > 2B > 2C > AC - 4008 dmg source: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9962851 5:18. I was kind of caught by surprise seeing AC whiff > 6C work outside of a fatal counter combo. Turns out it works when AC is the start of a combo vs a magnetized opponent too. You'll get 3258 dmg in that case and you can end with BGadget. This combo does not end with magnetism though and ends in poor Oki. Assuming it ended where it ended in the match. 100% Meter Combo... with spark bolt late into combo J.D Aerial CH > AC > AC whiff > MTW > Terra Break > 5C > Spark Bolt > 2C > AC - 7030 dmg source: http://www14.atwiki.jp/teigar/pages/70.html Requires you not to be stuck in the corner (if you were in the corner you'd just do 6C > MTW anyway). But... 5C after Terra Break seems pretty new. Plus this does a lot of damage before a burst is possible and before firing a spark bolt. So if you don't want to spend spark, or expect a burst. you can just end at 5C (or do gadget finger or any other post terra break setups you like such as 2B). Even better, do 5C > spark charge to go through a potential burst. Spark would be good for when you absolutely need a last hit and they can't burst. These combos are basically, great round finishers for opponents with no burst. 2C vs an already magnetized opponent can also be a start for the 2nd combo. Also anytime you can do AC > AC whiff> MTW you can do the 5C etc combo after. It's basically anytime you hit someone with MTW while they are on the ground or after spark bolt. But there's no real reason after spark bolt is spent at the combo's start Skimmed the thread to see if this was posted, didn't see it.
  16. Dear my sanity, Doing this will ease the pain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42u_n_6MtPg Signed, MyTrollface.jpg
  17. Dear me, Stop playing BB:CT online. Especially vs a v-13 from France. It's hurting us both. Sincerly, My sanity
  18. Duct Tape is manly, use it to fix your sticks
  19. I wouldn't say we'd NEED 4... but if we want it run in 1 days time and to have a team tourney... ya. If we had 1 setup, it'd take 7-8 hours with 16 players double elimination 2/3. So to cut time if we had 'too few' setups, we could make it single elim 2/3 and run it on multiple days. (even though I know you're trying to run a game a day... I don't think anyone attending would mind that much). I'm in a "take what we can get" mood with this subject so if anyone has a suggestion information contact me or Osirun so we can get this rolling.
  20. Ohio BB players are talking about making the road trip.
  21. Thanks! So who here wants this to be BB:CS instead of BB:CT? Calling out for some help from the Dustloop BB community. If you're planning on coming to Powerup2010 please let me know if you know how we can make this BB tournament BB:CS instead of BB:CT.
  22. Might want to make it clear on the page before people over register and you'll have to start refunding people.
