Okay.. so this argument is over John not sugarcoating his wording. It's just semantics. There are some more serious issues at the core of it, but that's what it was primarily about.
Admittedly, I was concerned with how down you were talking about people too, John. The "My way or the highway" mentality is -PERFECT- just before and during a tournament. After a tournament, however, I am concerned with how often I saw "if you don't like it tough". I can certainly understand where Chun was coming from.
This isn't a shot at you, at all. This is just trying to provide a mediatorial aspect to this conversation; you do come off extremely strong. I can completely understand why though. The strong, my way goes mentality is the only way you can have a successful tournament, and you want that for Norcal. I just think you've also thrown a couple people under the bus in the process, and maybe that wasn't necessary.
However, Chun, if it was anyone's fault you didn't make the team during the last minute decision NCI, it was mine. I voted strongly (and suggested to everyone else) for 2 GB combo because he is a stronger player, and has become one of the top norcal players despite a very, very bad character. You still have work to do, but you already know that. I would gladly work with you on areas you can improve if you want to be part of the next team of 5 or whatever it is; you even have the ability to be the strongest California Litchi, but you have steep competition as well. You have to be really damn good. So be ready for there to be times when you fall short, okay? Don't take anything about this 5v5 personally, or you've missed the point.
And a message to everyone; lets take things back a step. Drama attacks every community, don't forget who we're standing beside. We're the Blazblue scene, if we can't maintain this community as the amazing, friendly, uplifting, fun, fucking awesome community that I joined back at CUT2, we lose everything. We become just another street fighter community. And that's horrible. Solve your disputes, -kindly-. Gently. Hell, if you have a problem with someone, tell me, and I'll tell you why it was probably a lot more shades of grey than you might think.
<3 u guys, srs
