I try to rarely stick out chains against Tao. Her movement is too good and can punish you hard for avoiding it. Stick them out here and there to keep her honest though. I mostly try to just hop around with j.B and try to make her run into it. Sometimes j.A if she's really close. I've had a fairly decent amount of luck just throwing out 5C from full screen against weaker Taos online. With it's big hitbox and active frames, they usually come flying into it. It's got long recovery but I don't know if she can punish it by drive canceling.

I learned stick on octagonal gates and switched to a square gate when I got my first stick. I greatly prefer the square gates. My inputs feel faster and more precise and it's easier to feel corners out for TKs and 3Cs. But hell try them both out for a week and see how you like each one. It's your stick, it should be how you like it. It's not like gates are all the hard to change.

I'm in there! I'll bring an extra PS2 pad as well if this is indeed being run on 360. Also around what time is shit starting?
