I usually get 2-4 frames of delay. But my aim is for two. Make sure youre playing of the same coast u live on if not the same state. im in pa and play folks in ny and gwt god like connections.

Sometimes you just get a shit connection, but 1-4 frame delay should be playable. I've gotten 1-4 on the opposite coast with my wired connection.

If you're on wireless that is probably the culprit.

It depends on how bad their connection on wireless is, I play on wireless and I get at least 4-6F on ranked.

I have like 3mbps internet on wired and I seem to get 3 frames with people in the same area. I was getting that with 1 and 2 bars surprisingly.

Unless your bandwidth is crazy low it won't have much bearing on netplay. More about the routing, and any potential packet loss. Your up/downstream probably isn't relevant.

i get 2-3 frames, sometimes 10+ and it's always against ky or sin, who play cheap and spam special / reversal. Sometimes I think they are doing it on purpose.

i usually pull 22down and 6 up and still seem to get 10+ frames of delay, i've ocassically had 1 to 4 and the game felt nice online or at least playable.

finally got a chance to play this online.. Holy crap this shit is bad..  I averaged around 3-5 it seemed and honestly it was pretty unplayable I thought. Cant believe people would even subject themselves to play it higher. But I guess if youre horny about the game you do what you gotta do eh?

I'm getting about 3-6 frames of delay but it is still not reasonable...people online just doing whatever, spamming dust, Ky 214K, potemkin hammer fists, pretty much whatever they want and because of the delay, anything can happen.

I fought someone with 1f input delay and damn was it good.

Online play + ZATO SAMA~ = :vbang:

Specially when the connection has some hiccups.

Still kinda funny to see I get 2 or 3 frames with USA people, but I get shitloads of 6+ with Mexican dudes.

Stay away from ranked and play in some player lobbies and see how that works.

If you're getting more than 4 the connection is shit, or you are playing way outside your region guys. I get 1f delay on anyone with a 4 bar connection and 2-3 on anyone with a 3 bar. I live in Massachusetts and my friend lives in San diego, we get 4f delay and that is OPPOSITE COASTS, so whatever they did with the patch fixed the online. It was easily 6+ before. Make sure you're wired and look for people in your region.

netplay against people in ur area

dont meet up and play offline thats lame lol

I mean I netplay with locals. Having meetups every day isn't really viable.

It wouldn't be so frustrating if the bars didn't flat out lie a lot of the time. 4 bars can be anywhere from 1-5 frame delay in my experience, so unless I know the person there's a 90% chance I'm about to fight a terrible Sol or Ky or a good Millia through 5 frame delay and at that point I'm literally just guessing what's going to come next and waiting for them to dig their own grave, and I would just rather play another game.

edit:lol nevermind it can even mean 8 frame delay, okay. It's really good if you know what you're getting into, but the bars are so worthless that you might as well not even play against randos unless you want to play one of the characters that absolutely thrive in lagland.

It seems to vary for me, sometimes the bars are what they say they are upon joining the room and other times I'll start a match with a alleged 4 bar connection and watch the frame delay  climb into double digits.

Even had some 2 bar connections with 2-4 frame delay, it makes no sense.
