  1. why do you keep cancelling air to air jS into air task B? What if that air to air got blocked(never was but they should have been), you would get punished as a result. I would instead cancel into a variety of other things, such as airdash forward, downforward or downback(depending on height, trajectory, etc) or air task A.
  2. I think you have to use ex notes for more damage and do the ground loop...5AA, 5B, 2B, 5C, 5B, 2B, 5C, sweep, ex notes, 5AA. Not sure if there's better.

  5. I don't know, the combo he did looked like one that should be doable pretty consistently...yet I haven't seen anyone else do it pre-patch and I've watched tons of Bedman videos.
  6. So that combo in the first round...ground combo into jS into air task C. Why does this work now? I don't recall air task C getting faster startup.

  10. They aren't instant at all since you have more than enough time to block after the flash, but I do use it to do jS into airdash jS.
  11. I think he was saying that BrolyLegs' superior genetics(genetics relating to the mind mainly) allowed him to bypass his handicap and still be very good. I'm not sure if I agree with his genetics being the reason in this case but I think that's what he was trying to say

  13. That is what I was referring to mainly when I mentioned genetics...not sure how people can deny that it exists and that it is relevant.
  14. They're very relevant...they are relevant to almost anything. Some people are just trying to be idealistic...spreading the "you can do anything if you put your mind to it". It's wishful, encouraging thinking, but it's not realistic. Some players can still achieve great things even when everything is stacked against them (genetics, environment, etc) but that doesn't mean genetics/natural talent don't play a part...some people will never get on the level of Daigo, Kazunoko, etc, no matter how many hours they put into the game, even if they are playing in the Japanese arcades everyday.
  15. You can't quite zone him infinitely because his ball (and his seals) are projectiles and therefore reflectable. Bedman has some tools to get away from the reflect projectile but it can be dangerous.

  17. Could be interesting but who are these players having trouble with consistent match making? At peak hours (for me, around 5pm - 1am EST) there's about 30+ players in the north american lobby.

  19. There is a pretty massive difference between the two, that many netplayers often overlook. Being unable to block some things on reaction is one obvious difference, but there's a lot more than that. Punishing things on whiff or block becomes much trickier. You have to judge when you have to hit your attack button to punish, because of the delay. In many cases, pressing the attack button based on a visual cue, will not work and the opponent might recover first and perhaps even reversal you. It becomes even harder if you have some moves that are punishable with a dash. Here, you have to judge when you need to start your dash and when you have to hit your attack button during the dash, both instances where input delay can make you lose frames and result in an unsuccessful punish. This also starts to affect your mentality, to the point where a player that knows things should be punishable, starts to second guess whether they should attempt to punish things that they are accustomed to punishing. When you start second guessing yourself, it's not a good look...and if you let people get away with punishable moves because you second guess yourself, then this gives them many second chances in a match that should have already been over. There are also a number of combos that are hard to do with muscle memory and generally require some visual cue. One example is comboing far S after a throw in the corner with Bedman. If you mistime this, it will OTG and if you jump cancel that far S(to continue the combo) and it happens to OTG, the opponent will recover and you are put into a dangerous situation. So instead of you possibly doing an extra 70 damage after your throw and knocked them down for additional oki, you are put into a situation where you can get airthrown or anti-aired. The match result can look completely different than what it was supposed to look like. Because of all this, there's a ton of Ky players (for example) that are spamming greed sever...now here's the thing, I actually block almost all greed severs, even in lag...it's a combination of reaction, prediction and fuzzy guarding. Still though, I get hit with the occasional one that I know I should have blocked on time. These players...I tried to let some of them know that greed sever works more than it should because of netplay and that they need to watch some offline Kys to see that they play completely different because offline does not allow them to get away with it. Their response was either that I'm just complaining and that I need to "git gud" (didn't I just beat them and block most of those greed severs anywaY?) or that they simply don't care and they will play however they want to play. It is clear that they're more interested in just stealing matches they don't deserve instead of learning the game.

  21. You don't seem to be blocking much, if at all... You are doing random special moves for no reason...raw megido and then immediately doing missiles (why?). Lots of random supers that seem to be mashed out. You don't seem to actually have any mixup with Aigis, unless you want to call random specials, a mixup. Learn how to move with Aigis (very important) and how to create meaningful pressure strings that incorporate highs and lows. Watch top level Aigis players like Yume and others, to see what they are doing. Sorry but there isn't a nice way to put it... Edit: You keep getting missiles because you are mashing 236S for Megido and when you get crossed up, you get 214S(missiles). The question is, why are you mashing these motions? It's pretty clear you are mashing like crazy, since i see you accidentally supercancel Medigo into supers and you do reversal supers at the oddest of times. Edit2: Oops...I don't know why but I could have sworn that this topic was new...but now that I look at it, says Feb 12. Not sure why I responded to this.
  22. Of course he practiced, but the point is that the blocks are not pre-determined. Whatever is coming next, he needs to react to, take into account the current block structure that is in play and execute the right placement, in a very very short amount of time, repeatedly. That is all reaction, even if he has thousands of hours of practice.

Some of these amazing players actually have very little match experience.
