So one of the people in our Finnish Skype group posted this. It's a tool-assisted playthrough of the single player mode but it showcases a good amount of the things doable pretty well, doubly so for Byakko who's just ridiculous.

It's made in the same thing Vanguard Princess was (so 100fps instead of 60) and, from what I've been able to gather from the wiki with the aid of Google, it's apparently based on some novel series or other. The art is sloppy, the voice acting is atrocious at times and acceptable otherwise, but the characters are fairly varied and pretty cool. It uses a KOF style button layout and chain rules, and should feel fairly familiar in general if you've played Dong Dong.

In any case, I just wanted to put it out here. A few people in our group tried it and labbed around and freestyled some pretty nice combos and we're going to try actually playing it in the near future.

http://www52.atwiki.jp/requiem_final Wiki, contains frame data (remember 100fps), character movelists and some combo lists.

As far as I know Requiem isn't based off anything unlike his previous game TPC vs HAY (which also has more characters).

This is a good game. Mizuchama calls this his main game if that means anything to you. The other would probably have to be the developer himself who supports and netplays with people. The main draw to this game is the ingrained footsies, cool anti-air CH (similar to melty), and the varied and retarded amount of characters. There are actually a lot of match videos for this game on Nicovideo and is worth a look to learn combos and matchups. You can also get a sense of what's strong in this game and what's terrible very quickly. http://www.nicovideo.jp/tag/REQUIEM%EF%BC%88%E6%A0%BC%E3%82%B2%E3%83%BC%EF%BC%89?sort=f

Looks fun, I might check it out if it gets a graphics update. I mean, I saw a lot of bad graphics in fighting games, but this one takes the cake. It's difficult to be excited about a game that looks like it's done in Paint.

EDIT: After looking through the roster, I caved in and gave it a try. The game actually looks surprisingly decent in motion, which feels a bit weird. Can't say anything about the actual gameplay yet, but I like the ideas behind some characters.

Luice is cool character and actually liking her moveset. Where I can find this game ost.

Reminds me of other Enterbrain Fighter Maker "classics" like Urobura KO Act and Arm Joe. Someone really needs to make Arm Joe into a proper game though.

This is a good game.

Weren't you banned forever from bringing games to NCD because of this?

That was Manabe. I don't suggest streaming a high-barrier game no one knows how to play.

Wonder if it would be possible to convince bell to give this a Mizuumi page. The jap wiki has a good amount of system info and putting player observations and general notes in English for those who can't read runes or mangled Bing Translate output could be pretty beneficial.

Just a thought.

We have played this game on netplay with MTSP software and it was pretty ok. I started to like Otte Kage more because her stances and chain combos. Also her CC mode is awesome.

Did bunch of Otte Kage videos

Second video was from a loooooong set. This isn't even half.

The netplay works laudably well at least inside Finland, which is more than you can say for UNIB.

This game is surprisingly fun.  I don't have much to contribute but I was messing with Angelica and her parry cancel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cS4_99Gj2Ps

Next time my friends and I netplay I could see if they'd like me to upload our set.  We use a good variety of characters at varying degrees of skill, so it should be interesting to watch.  Maybe.

Angelica has some pretty sicknasty juggles from air CH or anti-air parry hits. Her [4]6D I believe has juggle properties and it's used in some pretty big damage and corner carry combos.

If you've seen any Angelica footage on Nico they all go into 46D juggles from any good antiair hit.

I can play some good level as Otte Kage and Suzaku and some basic Rin. Luice is cool but you rarely land her 6b for big combos. Been interested also for Arare lately, I like pace for her combos.
