epikku attaku Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 just wondering what a good controller should be on ps3. since i dont want to spend 100s to switch to stick. i have old 6axis i still use, though r2 trigger is screwy. ds2 which was broken dpad when i got it 2nd hand(unresponsize L/R unless i push hard). finally i tried a biogenik controller. dpad is noticibly worst than regular, and broken after a month of use(right after refund policy expired). keeps wanting to move right by itself sometimes. worst luck ever with controllers i know 1sp party ds2's are pretty good, but also expensive.
Tong Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Standard Dual Shock 3 should work fine for fighting games, at least it did for me.
Hollysmoke Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Standard Dual Shock 3 should work fine for fighting games, at least it did for me. I think he's looking for a cheap yet effective 3rd party alternative since those controllers cost like $50-60 depending on where you live.
Grimsley-San Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 There's that MKX fightpad coming out soon right? Fightpads are normally around $20-$30http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ps3+fight+pad

Another guy I played from time to time was usually complaining about various types of pads breaking all the time and having to replace them. Pad is great, but if you're one of those people who can't get their pads to last, just fuck 'em. You end up spending more than a stick in the long run.
Antaiseito Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I kept spending money on some third party pads back in PS2-days and none of them lasted even a month. The Xrd fightpad that came with the collectors even broke after 25minutes... Never had a Sony-PS2/3pad break on me though. I think by saving on quality you'll end up spending more in the long run, could be wrong though.. Edit: In regard to PS3-pads never breaking, i should probably mention that i use a stick for fighting games, Pads for everything else
