We can still talk in the usual general discussions topic. My extend copy is flying to my heart as we speak, will update with more stuff once amiami delivers it! Either way it's fine though, I think this topic is good enough to be honest, like a combination tech+combos topic while leaving the general banter in the other topic which already has much history. If I could I'd just rename the old topic rather than make a new one, I like keeping the history alive.

Seems that they generally have to be higher(?) in order for poison nail combos to work more consistently? ex. in corner 623B 2B 5B j.C j.22A j.2C j.236A 5A used to work but doesn't anymore 2AA gatling does not exist anymore :< Air command grab maintains momentum both rising and falling j.236B can actually be used for oki again though as a neutral tool not really that useful\ in FRKZ, you can cancel ground dashes into non-command normals

With changes like j.C j.D gatling and other thing such as poison nail having a bit more hitstun, it seems that they want to make it easier to convert random air hits which is pretty nice!

It seems that they float lower either on 6D or coming out of the web nail. Still obviously works if you manage to web them a bit higher with 5D > j.236C. 2D losing it's jump cancel kind of sucks... I was occasionally using it to anti-air but now it should be super unsafe. I'm having trouble getting a command grab to hit before the oki j.236B hits like I've seen in some videos. Possible they're setting up so the nail whiffs instead? Anyone have any idea what challenge 20 is actually asking for? Sometimes I can push it up to the 2nd or 3rd line by doing stuff at double jump height but 20 seems so far off and I have no idea what it's actually asking me to do. Edit: I'm told that it's just to keep off the ground for 20 seconds (no combo required). I'll try this tonight.
Pen_Ninja Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Sorry double post, new info Found a solution to challenge 20, it's much different to the example... 2D > sj.C > j.D > ODC > up dash x3 > [j.214A]x12 > j.D > j.623B > RC > j.623C (purple grab gets broken) > air dash forward > j.2C > j.D > j.623B > RC > j.623C (purple grab gets broken) > air dash forward > j.2C > j.D > j.623B > (RC > j.623C) so you're pretty much just doing the first bit, slowing down a bunch by setting bumpers then looping purple grabs with your remaining air dashes. The example they give you is crazy

If you have a C nail starter just go right into 6C>iadjC>j236C>5D astral. As for air to air, no, the jD will put them too low to the ground so that when the 5D hits there won't be enough time for you to astral since they'd land earlier than they do off of a 5D that hits like I specify above. For that to work you'll need to be not all the way in the corner (but not too far out of the corner either) thus it's too iffy. You could just not jD and do the j236C right after the jC, though, or, you could do jA>jC>iad>jC>j236C>5D>astral if you had the specific perfect height when you landed that jA.

I haven't seen those colors since CT. I wish they brought back grey and orange bang....it was my main color till it died.

Or does he get the same bonus from each as from CP? jD used to be a buff to combo rate, lacking it meant less damage than nonOD, now it is a flat damage modifier rather than a combo rate thing and the seal-less OD is same damage as nonOD. 6D makes you blink and leave leaves behind you as you dash, granting you projectile invuln. 5D does what it did plus what 6D did (gives you more airdashes/the ability to crossup with them) 2D makes all Ds block all directions, not sure if the added anything else to it
