ShoMeYaMoves Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 From the mind of a j.D pro: Hands down the best j.D you will ever see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u77zerJD6Lo (watch the whole vid, good fight) PSYCHE. I dare someone to challenge my j.D skills:v: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92Ueo7a34as (might as well close the window after you see it. noels gay) Made a XD face at the Noel one, it was awesome.
WUT Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I lol'd. That never works for me when I try it. I will however make an effort to dodge the bullets during Noel's air DD, then purposely j.D the stupid rocket afterwards. Just to be a complete hardass.

rei-Scarred Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Until I get brutally decimated for using j.D as much as I do, I will continue to view it as a viable strategy. Oh wait OutlawAssassin owned me for it tonight i forgot
Justice7541 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Double fire punch combo = 2B > 623B > d.2B > 623B? Does that work off the 5B 2B 623B, d.5B j.B j.623B variation?
WUT Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Double fire punch combo = 2B > 623B > d.2B > 623B? Does that work off the 5B 2B 623B, d.5B j.B j.623B variation? Well after any 623b you can set a bumper for oki. However I was indeed referring to the d.2b, 623b double fire punch, as that particular bounce and positioning gives you more time to throw out a bumper and recover before they can tech.
rei-Scarred Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byGs9CzfOgA very interesting fight against random ara http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Roum6prtoWo outlawassassin homo genius improv tech trap speed activate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddOnofN8IoA
Reioumu Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 -I've mentioned it in another thread (I believe it was how to be a hero), but you can replace D nails in the 2C, 214B, d.2A, 5B, j.A, j.C setup with a B nail. You just lose the low option off the bumper and the timing for the followup combo is tighter due to B nail's forced landing recovery. -On Cat 1's you can end the standing Bnb (d.6C, j.D) with a V, 5C, bumper set. The untechable time on 5C lets you safely get a bumper and recover in time to oki based on how they tech. -You can end a double fire punch combo with a bumper set instead of a d.6C, dj.C/dj.623B. B bumper in particular has solid positioning after the wallbounce. -And as you mentioned, BnB into 6D, TK bumper set is decent. You get more options immediately from a C bumper but B bumper is much more effective at punishing techs. D and A have more limited use in this scenario, as D can't punish a back roll and A can't deal with a forward roll. EDIT: Man I wish aerial bumper sets weren't so terrible. Combo into a j.C KD, bumper set, late AD into mixup would be a great option to have. Yeah I agree :/, though you can do funny bumper setups like 2D (CH) 2147A 2B 6C jBC and then you're on the bumper and get a free mixup. Doesn't do as much as the normal 2D j.D 2B 623B d.2B 6C jBC though, but adds one bumper at a nice low height since the A bumper was TK'd.
Randomchaos Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I gave Bang a seven because I am still bad with the timing of his drive. Also he has short range and does low damage so in the beginning I got my ass handed to me. It took some time to learn a few good combos.
rei-Scarred Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Well since this thread was bumped I might as well give my opinion since I never have here. I don't really know how to rate Bang because it took me months to be able to beat my friend who mains jin consistently whereas I took Ragna into training mode once without looking up any combos and I can already beat him with Ragna. But then there's the matchup difference and the fact that my general knowledge of the game has increased dramatically since I started. In short, this question is unanswerable for me unless I could magically forget everything I know about Bang and start over. FRKZ is hard anyway.
DaiAndOh Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 This thread is still alive? I don't mind keeping it around since there is some actual debate and discussion on Bang's difficulty and reduces the chances of someone asking how hard Bang is in a new topic, despite the guide saying so.
Tao(す)kaka Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 7. So many moves to utilize. Its good having so many options, and Fu Rin Ka Zan gives you even more to learn about this character.
DeadCellSpawn Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 6 - Hes not too hard to use that you need to learn so much before you can start playing well against others. FRKZ and Bumpers are a small part of his game and using them comes with experience. Needless to say they are not needed at all to win so that is why I didn't rate him too high in difficulty. I will say I am still learning new things with him everyday and that is partially why I have not bothered to pick up another character. Just yesterday did I start to get the hang of 5C (knocks out of air), 2C OTG, 623B. Before I was going into 6D too quickly and it would not combo leading into a bad oki situation. Anyways is there more I can get off that situation or is the 2c - 623b the best I can get?
Lord Cruxis Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 An Old fight of mines, when I went on ps3 adventures. Its a bit a old i think xD But ya has a nice 5D teleport off of Noel, watch it if you like :X http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwOy-GeaoBE
tataki Posted October 23, 2009 Author Posted October 23, 2009 Hi people , I just wanted to say I'm still working hard on the combo video based on the combos in the combo thread. I know it's taking a lot of time but please be patient I really hope I'll be able to finish it this weekend.

We can try again some other time but there was at least 20 frame delay...I couldn't even do any bnbs.
iw2ma Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 well in ALL honesty, online matches in general aren't exactly legit
ShoMeYaMoves Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Low Tier Ninja Hero! Nice editing! Seeing the command throw RCs reminded me I need to make a new max damage command throw RC vid since some of the stuff in the combo thread isn't max damage anymore.
rei-Scarred Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Low Tier Ninja Hero! this is art o-o also i didnt know you could 623B litchi after j.C:vbang:. This will be fantastic for beginners to learn the bnbs imo
Stray Inu Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 tataki, I think that might be the greatest thing I have ever seen. In my entire life. You are my new hero and you might even be more of a hero than Bang himself!
