I lol'd. That never works for me when I try it. I will however make an effort to dodge the bullets during Noel's air DD, then purposely j.D the stupid rocket afterwards. Just to be a complete hardass.

Until I get brutally decimated for using j.D as much as I do, I will continue to view it as a viable strategy. Oh wait OutlawAssassin owned me for it tonight i forgot :gonk:

Double fire punch combo = 2B > 623B > d.2B > 623B? Does that work off the 5B 2B 623B, d.5B j.B j.623B variation?

Well after any 623b you can set a bumper for oki. However I was indeed referring to the d.2b, 623b double fire punch, as that particular bounce and positioning gives you more time to throw out a bumper and recover before they can tech.

-I've mentioned it in another thread (I believe it was how to be a hero), but you can replace D nails in the 2C, 214B, d.2A, 5B, j.A, j.C setup with a B nail. You just lose the low option off the bumper and the timing for the followup combo is tighter due to B nail's forced landing recovery.

-On Cat 1's you can end the standing Bnb (d.6C, j.D) with a V, 5C, bumper set. The untechable time on 5C lets you safely get a bumper and recover in time to oki based on how they tech.

-You can end a double fire punch combo with a bumper set instead of a d.6C, dj.C/dj.623B. B bumper in particular has solid positioning after the wallbounce.

-And as you mentioned, BnB into 6D, TK bumper set is decent. You get more options immediately from a C bumper but B bumper is much more effective at punishing techs. D and A have more limited use in this scenario, as D can't punish a back roll and A can't deal with a forward roll.

EDIT: Man I wish aerial bumper sets weren't so terrible. Combo into a j.C KD, bumper set, late AD into mixup would be a great option to have.

Yeah I agree :/, though you can do funny bumper setups like 2D (CH) 2147A 2B 6C jBC and then you're on the bumper and get a free mixup. Doesn't do as much as the normal 2D j.D 2B 623B d.2B 6C jBC though, but adds one bumper at a nice low height since the A bumper was TK'd.

I gave Bang a seven because I am still bad with the timing of his drive. Also he has short range and does low damage so in the beginning I got my ass handed to me. It took some time to learn a few good combos.

Well since this thread was bumped I might as well give my opinion since I never have here. I don't really know how to rate Bang because it took me months to be able to beat my friend who mains jin consistently whereas I took Ragna into training mode once without looking up any combos and I can already beat him with Ragna. But then there's the matchup difference and the fact that my general knowledge of the game has increased dramatically since I started. In short, this question is unanswerable for me unless I could magically forget everything I know about Bang and start over. FRKZ is hard anyway.

This thread is still alive?

I don't mind keeping it around since there is some actual debate and discussion on Bang's difficulty and reduces the chances of someone asking how hard Bang is in a new topic, despite the guide saying so.

7. So many moves to utilize. Its good having so many options, and Fu Rin Ka Zan gives you even more to learn about this character.

6 - Hes not too hard to use that you need to learn so much before you can start playing well against others. FRKZ and Bumpers are a small part of his game and using them comes with experience. Needless to say they are not needed at all to win so that is why I didn't rate him too high in difficulty. I will say I am still learning new things with him everyday and that is partially why I have not bothered to pick up another character. Just yesterday did I start to get the hang of 5C (knocks out of air), 2C OTG, 623B. Before I was going into 6D too quickly and it would not combo leading into a bad oki situation. Anyways is there more I can get off that situation or is the 2c - 623b the best I can get?

Hi people , I just wanted to say I'm still working hard on the combo video based on the combos in the combo thread. I know it's taking a lot of time but please be patient :sweatdrop: I really hope I'll be able to finish it this weekend. :vbang:

me vs ShoMeYaMoves on a laggy match

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hn9g6XReJEg

+ i forgot to configure my stick so the only buttons i had avaiable to me where A and D:vbang:

I'd prefer it if you took that down, America x Europe online matchs aren't exactly legit. We can try again some other time but there was at least 20 frame delay...I couldn't even do any bnbs.

tataki, I think that might be the greatest thing I have ever seen. In my entire life. You are my new hero and you might even be more of a hero than Bang himself!
