236x still has projectile invincibility

Can I ask about this?

Cuz 236 having projectile invincibility sounds not only hilariously OP, but it has also never had it before, so "still has" has me confused.

Brett translated and tweeted changes. Here's a few extra and/or clearer details I noted. I've already updated the OP with Sourenga's translation this weekend. I'll update the OP with these and the Hilda changes mentioned by madigawadesperate later tonight. Thanks a lot for all the info guys!

Universal:

  • If you're not in Vorpal, you can spend 100 meter and get GRD broken to perform Guard Thrust. (Used to be 200 meter)

Hyde:

  • 2A seems more minus
  • 3B is reaches farther (back to UNIEL), and is bigger (taller, basically), so easier to combo with after Orbiter A followup
  • You can CS all orbiters (including EX) on whiff.
  • Air Lotus (Pogo) can be CS'd after the first hilt hit is blocked, and can be EX cancelled
  • 5B's upward hitbox seems improved
  • The timing of Throw > XVO seems tough. You have to cancel it right as he pulls his leg in to kick them
  • 22A/B have less severe prorate DP seems to do less damage or has worse proration (not specified on whether normal or EX)
  • Possibly less inv on backdash 66C no longer has low inv

Linne:

  • Vorpal Trait: FF>Roll Cancel only possible during the dodge animation Seems that roll's inv has been moved or reduced.
  • 66C > Kuuga > 66 > j.A seems to pick them up higher on the j.A

Orie:

  • 3B hitbox buffed: Hits crossup j.Cs

Merkava:

  • 236C Lower body has proj inv
  • j2C seems unchanged
  • Merkava's hurtbox during jump startup seems much larger. Start of the round mirror match j.2C loses to 5B

Vatistia:

  • Crystal blockstun and pushback increased possibly.
  • C Drill vacuums more so it never drops.
  • 2BC has 2 more recovery frames
  • Dash C feels weird apparently

Chaos:

  • If Azhi is destroyed, when you resummon him, he tracks on the opponent

Akatsuki:

  • On a successful counter, you can no longer cancel the punch followup into BC, making it easier to mash reflector
  • A starter damage seemed to go back down - had been reported ~2700, now back at 2500
  • Due to 214B change, 214B>236C generally combos without causing a ground bounces inbetween
  • Corner A starter leads to over 3k, or 3.5k from Bs On hit, air hit 6C can be delay cancelled significantly longer
  • Vorpal Trait: BC damage AND untech prorate become less severe 236C possibly has more inv? 236B recovery significantly inc

Yuzuriha:

  • D cancel re-added
  • D-paired moves (+D) re-added
  • Removed an unimportant D-paired stance icon relight glitch

I think they should just let Yuzu be S-tier since She's exe heavy.

And everyone would be happy :3

No, I don't think that's how it works. People are sad about losing to Zato no matter how execution-heavy he is.

On an unrelated note, it's also confirmed that you can still spam infinite teleports (and likely all the related glitchiness that comes with it) in loketest 2 as Yuzu.

There's no word on whether you can 1-hit cancel EX Slashes into stance moves outside of stance anymore, but that glitch is so useless it doesn't even matter.

Does Yuzu have a vorpal bonus?

Universal:

  • If you're not in Vorpal, you can spend 100 meter and get GRD broken to perform Guard Thrust. (Used to be 200 meter)

Unless this was changed in Loke 1, Grd Thrust used to be 100 meter minimum, not 200. It consumed all a player's meter, though.

And from the first post:

Got D plinking back

Not sure what this is supposed to mean. I suspect it's a poorly worded statement that D-paired moves are back, or that D-cancelled moves are back. There's never been anything called D-plinking.

Man. I still can't believe they didn't give Yuzu a single buff and just nerfed her to hell instead. She wasn't even that good, her disadvantage state is really terrible. Almost everyone else got at least a few positive changes. All Yuzu got was the ability to use a move in the air that no one really uses in the first place. Ridiculous.

Yea, they re-added her D-cancels but other than that, she got nothing really significant in terms of her playstyle and just nerfed what she could already do. I mean yea, she had a shit ton of range and movement and good damage when she needed it, but it was kind of offset by the fact that you had to really commit to your options and when to use them and her inability to get people off of her when she's pinned down.

I might just drop her to sub status and stick with Hyde/Phonon as my primaries.

So did we ever get a completed change list? Because I see the unist gif bot on twitter showing waldstein combos that are impossible to do in uniel with changes that are not listed on any of the loketest stuff.

Does CVO still reset bounce limits? And is cancelling from EX moves into IW a new thing for Veil Off in general, or is that some new property of CVO? Both of these questions open up HUGE damage for wald, pretty much any hit with vorpal and meter will be like 5-6k at least.

See this https://twitter.com/unist_combo_bot/status/668680719208615936 for examples of some of what I'm asking about.

To my knowledge, there is no official full list of changes.

Canceling EX moves into IW is a property of CVO.

And people say wald is B tier in unist lol

Every stray hit with meter and vorpal is minimum 5k now

And nobody in japan ever documented the changes fully? Is the game just outright dead in japan or something?

Posted

Full meter and vorpal is not easy to get, and you'll be spending all of it for that 5K.

There could be list of changes in some Japanese wiki, I don't check those.

No no, 100 meter and vorpal will be 5K. I already do over 4k for that, and it's going to get much more damaging. ending combos in 6c charge j.C 214B CVO 5C 236A 214C IW is going to hurt a fair bit. Max meter is going to be ... a lot. I dunno how much, but ... a lot.
