If you're hanging in the air, definitely look out for 6p and 5k. Do not recklessly spam tatamis. Those moves will kill you bad. Oh, and his j.hs, especially the FDC low to the ground one. That thing is something like 60% of the screen. Some players like to take the JC combo upon sweeping faust. Baiken can even sweep faust and do a low j.d for a dust loop. Either take that or the knockdown. I'm thinking though as playing Baiken, you don't get many damage opportunities so I think I'd go for the damage. I'm in no way an authority on this match. This is just off the top of my head.

i think baiken's worst matchup is testament because he's not an offensive character and all his combos work awesome against her cause she's a light character and takes more damage so it's 50% of your life bar when u get punished by an expert testament player

I disagree, yes he can hurt baiken but who cant. J.S, 5s, 2s, T.mats, and 6k all bypass nets. You can run through trees. You should never be in range of barney cause you should be in test face at all times cause he's reversal isnt good enough to stop you and if you are in range you should be able to react in time to IAD tatami given that there are no nets in your way. If he's tryin to abuse j.D pop his ass with a T.mat. I also find Testament to be one of the easier characters to dustloop prolly second to only Axl.

Testament is tough but I would not call it the worst matchup. I would reserve that judgement for slayer, with close second being Jam.

guys i didnt said u can't win against testament but he's just too good to punish baiken and sometimes when u get comboed it's 50% of your lifebar without frc or rc cause she bounce easily in corners which gives testament a good chance for GD loops that's all and that's the case for all light characters so testament have extra combos against them like the sweep into GD....

a trick against testees and his exe beast is do the kick counter on the exe beast hit...youll run the opposite way away from testament.

What are some good strats to use against May? I have a hell of a time fighting her. I get OHKd alot on wake up and by tick throws, which is very annoying because an OHK can lead to a 60-80% combo on Baiken. And it seems May can spam almost any of her pokes to keep Baiken from doing anything up close.

yeah that's true but don't forget that all baiken's combos are easy to pull against MAY...one very useful thing is that almost all her moves are kinda laggy so prepare to use the p counter especially against : j.2HS / jHS / HS / D / 6P. Also use the K counter when blocking dolphins.

MAy is pretty tough actually - the timing is harder cuz she floats so much and thus has an easier time teching out during a non-perfect Dloop.

against may, just turtle. she has a tough time getting in. and be carful in teh corner. that whale is vicious when may's got her back to the wall.

I use J.S-D> qad.D> land SJ.S-D> qad.D land and either try to go for it again(hard as hell to do) or double jump air throw and combo of wall bounce with 2.K>5s>air combo or tensionless if im feelin lucky ^^.

Rain mats on her ass. she cant do much about if you zone it just right. I wanna say 6p beats or trades with dolphin. 2s stuffs a lot of her attacks also. Also watch out for 6p>5s cause if she hits you with a hs or another 6p you better mash that shit!!!

Speakin of tensionless loops isnt that the prefered loop to use on may?

Also should i have problems Dustloopin Ino cause i find her to be the hardest character other than ky and roboky to dustloop.

On I-no and ky I do: example - s©,sweep,tatami (FRC) HJ->s, dust, air dash, s, dust, land, jump s, d. You don't have to HJ and you can even add a punch before the slash and end the last loop with a YZN if necessary.

PS: Ky and I-no are some of the EASIEST characters to dustloop, so NO you shouldn't. :amazed: :chat: roflroflcopterz
