First of all, there's no reason to burst a throw combo, as it doesn't do much damage. Second, if you're going to burst it, you'd burst at j.s, not 2d.

6k xx 236k keeps them closer. Half the time I get CH 6k from pretty far away so 6k-5h xx 236k wouldn't even land. 6k xx 41236h is okay, but keep in mind that the chain is a really fat opening in a lot of matches (Slayer can mappa you, Sol can GV out, Axl can catch, etc.). 6k, 5p/2k/throw is fine too.

2h/6p are mostly interchangeable. I personally like 6p because it's safer, and you actually have time to hit confirm. I-no actually can't do much about a lot of Baiken's normals ... j.s, 5s(f), 6p, 6h all shut her down pretty hard. I-no's 6p and 2s are good though. Tatami is particularly effective against I-no also. And you can 6p through her notes/chem-ai.

i know it does for CL butyou sure 6p passes through notes? Cause once it gets behind you it should explode to the multiple hit deal right?

I prefer 2h in this matchup cause you get so many CH with it which is automatic air or dust/tatami loop.

HmR.ks- My friend and i decided to tape some extremely casual matches. Nothin to serious but they will be up sometime this week.

which makes me wonder if girlfriend no jutsu will make it in lol

Well, you can tell my friend not to burst during 2D after a throw in the corner then. If he's going to burst then and I can grab him out of it, then I will.

I don't really get why you mentioned that. It's just helping people play against Baiken. This isn't a Vs.Baiken help thread! Good info nonetheless.

Raul Says:

Spam Sweep and close in with Slash FTW BABY YEAH!!!!!

Kthnx bai!

EDIT: I have never been able to successfully bait a throw from a burst with baiken in reload ever...I don't see a point doing it unless you're in the corner either...but thats just my opinion (see my opinion). Yeah anyway though, I think if you properly manage to bait a burst just go for a sweep or slash and follow up depending on distance. Full burst distance I'd say would be safer to just go for a sweep. In my case, I suck following up bursts.............I NEEDS TEH HELPZORS!!!!

Illogical: actually *you* should tell your friend not to burst there. Teaching people how to fight against Baiken will in turn teach you not to do things that wouldn't work on better players. In other words, making your opponents better will make you better also.

moonless: sweep prorates, so I don't know why you'd use that. 5s JC j.s, etc. should be easy to link from a blocked burst. 6h-2d JC j.s, etc. if they bursted really high up.

6h xx 63214k after an untechable launcher is pretty good as burst bait, though the good players tend to burst before the 6h connects. Almost everyone I play will burst this at some point, since it simply leads to too much damage.

More recently I've been seeing a lot of j.s-d FRC, block burst in match vids. I wonder if they're just getting lucky or if the FRC is done on reaction >_>

Hmm. You are right. Recently he hasn't been bursting then anyways, so I haven't been going for it. He's the only person I play, so I don't know how much room I have for improvement playing the same person over and over again.

Because damage is damage to me and sure it might not be alot but its better than not trying anything at all. I'll get it in anyway I can. It's just how I play so I mean I don't worry about it like that. I would think the FRC is on reaction as well.

EDIT: I missed the 6H part. I wouldn't rely on that after a burst at all unless its within a certain distance from the ground like you said. I do that all the time dude...HAVEN'T YOU SEEN MY MOVIES!?!!?!?!?#!":@!?@!?#!

You'd have to expect that, as people do burst here too. I've done it a few times - you can use it as a bait technique as well if you know where people are going to burst your options.

moonless: I'm not telling you to not try at all. I'm saying that 5s is better than 2d, and they should be equally easy to link.

zakuta: The people I play all burst at j.s, since it's basically guaranteed. I don't know of a good way to bait at this point without missing the link if they don't burst.

I know you didn't lol. I just find the sweep a hell of alot more reliable than 5s in some instances off a burst thats all. She has a few moves to setup and punish bursts and no one way is a wrong way by any means. I know you're only trying to help so don't take it the wrong way guy. You know I loves you.

After I bait a burst i run in and do 2K, into far slash, JC air combo. In Slash its gonna be 2S,far slash for the win!!!

Yes doren, you can dust loop off any baited burst with 5s, so i would probably recommend not ever doing what you've been doing :(

Personally... I think Baiken should do too much Sakura Counter on Sol Badguy because he can easily bait it by linking pressure strings into 2D... which is too low for Baiken's Sakura to hit. Be sure to be able to FRC Sakura successfully so in case you get baited for it, you can block in time... ^^

Maybe bait Sol's wakeup VV or something. VV f**king hurts in Slash. However, Sol players always do the follow-up move to VV if they get baited so make no haste in punishing the baited VV, watch for the follow-up before punishing him.

I'm not really that good either so.. I was just speaking from experience...

Sol vs. Baiken is no good for Baiken. Guard cancels - any of them - are extremely risky at all times if the Sol has any idea what he's doing. About the only one that's relatively safe is p counter after blocking the first hit of j.h. Do not s counter without FRC. Zone more and pressure less, because 2d and dp will beat most of your typical block strings and mindgames for free. Your air is better than his - use j.s a lot. Bandit revolver is good for you; if you ever see one, 5s or 5h are free counterhits into half-life combos from anywhere. Gunflame can be punished by j.h if you predict, or ad.s on reaction, both will counterhit. Sol can grand viper chain on reaction, but it's still a good zoning tool, just use sparingly. He doesn't have a good answer to back airdash tatamis unless he's relatively close to you already, so use that to keep him out.

Yeah I figured. I think 2S is the best ground poke although that's all it does... poke. j.S is also good in terms of air dashing but the problem is you have to drop for it to hit. j.S sucks with IAD you catch fire from below. 5HS is good but not snappy enough. But I think Axl kicks her butt more than anyone. With only a double jump and a single air dash I get poked easily. I couldn't think of a safe way to approach. Any ideas?
