Tsuuna Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 This matchup sucks. I get a daifunka off against carl that would of finished him. Somehow he breaks out. I was so baffled i just taunted and gave up. Rofl. Strange things happen, doing Daifunka on Nirvana. I've actually hit Carl after doing so, cause they were too lost in me ramming her. Even stranger is, it connects. Also, I usually dont have much problem with this matchup, but like it's been said. Dont go dashing in like a retard, expecting to outprioritize Carl and Nirvana, it just asks for punish into clapping. I generally pressure carl ASAP, unless they hide behind Nirvana, if that's the case, then I'll just beat her up until they try pulling one of her "un hitstun-able" moves, like 2D, I think. Then I'll fish for a burning heart, teleport and start pressuring more. The focus here is, when you have Carl, STAY on Carl.

zeth07 Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 While it might not work offline or against people who are absolutely perfect with their Clap Loop precision, I have found myself getting out of the Clap Loop by breaking the !! grab and then back dashing (towards Carl). Since I pretty much only play online I have found that it actually works pretty successfully. Between them probably not being perfect with their execution and even the slightest input lag, it seems like it allows me to escape it almost consistently. So while it might not be truly viable all the time or even successful, I really see no reason not try it. I saw it in this video (posted by Lord Knight in the Video Posting Thread originally): http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8162207 I only watched the first Taokaka part and pretty much just started doing it exactly like she does, even though it might not "work" the same way for Bang, it works for me. Maybe it'll help people get out of it at least some of the time. --I also use Bumpers against Carl just for the added mobility and potential mix-up or fakes, even if it isn't practical I still find them useful even if it is slightly. I still have an incredibly hard time against a good Carl player though.
iw2ma Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 what's with Nicovideo anyway, do you NEED an account to view videos? I know before i was able to watch some but now there isn't an option also on Carl, i have also hit both Nirvana then hit Carl afterwards, multiple times too. But even better is one time I did Daifunka, hit Nirvana the Carl player teleports her back behind him and then does her multiple punch super, I hit Carl and start the first few hits and then Carl flys behind me as I continue the animation..... it was wierd.

Shinsua Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Is it just me or does it seem that when 2363214 C makes contact with Ada first, then smacks Carl, its unblockable? Or are the four Carl players Ive fought just that stupid?
