It's Successor of the Azure(CALAMITY TRIGGER) so it's referring to Noel. She is the trigger to the calamity since she broke the loop.

This connection explains why Naoto appeared in CF and it fits Mori's comment about Naoto's arcade having a big reveal. To be honest I think that Izanami being a product of Saya Terumi is a good thing. Having Izanami be some sort of death goddess that came out of nowhere would have been less satisfying than actually tying her origin to previous events in the storyline. My guess is that Saya has Saya's soul inside her and Ragna has Naoto's. My guess is that she possessed Saya Terumi when she was young and that explains their resemblance/murderous tendencies. But considering that Saya Terumi/Naoto were around at the same time as Mei Amanohokosaka (placing Bloodedge Experience at least 100+ years prior to BlazBlue), why did Izanami wait so long to swap bodies, and in such a way (kidnap, mind rape)? Great, I think I just shot down my own hypothesisÂ

Great, I think I just shot down my own hypothesis Saya Terumi was captured by Relius in BE. The fact a lookalike of her suddenly appeared alongside Relius is pretty suspicious. Maybe Izanami says she's not Saya Terumi because she's using the other Saya's body. I guess the story mode will explain the exact relationship, but I'm pretty confident that Izanami is at the very least a product of Saya Terumi.

Yet, all this "big reveal" about Naoto story doesn't seem to appeal me, unless other characters get an interaction with him during their arcades. Yes I know, Saya Terumi and Izanami isn't the same person, no big deal, even they being so similar. But that Terumi girl uses Soul Eater as a Drive, while Izanami, Exodus Arc, I think, two things relatively different, what could only make these two images a coincidence. Because we got some information from other character (Amane) we started to think this correlation. I don't think these people are wrong, I just think we could have something kinda... better for a big reveal. Geez, I thought Amane Astral Finish on Izanami way more intriguing that what we got about Naoto arcade. But yes, if that ends to being the truth, I rest my case and accept it.

At the very least, she could've been influencing her to rip out Naoto's eyes. "Wanna save your family? No problem, just find your brother (I hate brothers) and give him a NICE DEATH :P" Yuki T. mentioned in CP he showed Saya/Izanami memories and that's what broke B.B. Saya and allowed her to be possessed. What if those memories were of her past existence as Saya T., when she wiped out her whole clan by accident? Can't think of anything else that would be nearly as traumatizing.

Mei also sent a letter to Naoto in B.E. saying that they couldn't lock Saya anyway any longer, nor kill her. Mei's an Azure shrine maiden, of course she would know the goddess of death isn't killable. She could've been getting progressively more adjusted to Saya T. during those 5 years of being locked up, so the moment she was let out, she went to Naoto and he got rekt. It would also explain why her and Rachel have history; Saya T. and Raquel fought each other before and Rachel looks just like her, might even be related to Raquel. Damnit Mori, hope I'm not writing the story for you this very minute.Â
