AznSpyderman Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 It's funny that when I move out of one area with a dead scene, there's always players looking to get a scene going (Moved out of NEPA) and when I move into an area with a scene, the scene dies (Moved to Syracuse area) Anyway, there's a Facebook group called "Eastern PA FGC Revival" I think. I'm not on FB so I don't know specifically, but there's a few players on PSN from the scranton area. We used to have casuals at Adventure Games in Dickson City. I know of a few kids still in that area interested in playing, but a lot of them moved on. This is one guy, but he's not active on Twitter: https://twitter.com/NecrotrophicFGC He's on FB though in that above group. There's a small scene near Allentown if you can travel. If not, I totally understand. I travel between Upstate and NEPA still to the Poconos where my family lives and wouldn't mind stopping in the area for games. It's only a 2-hour drive. I only know of two people in the area that play anime games: One is on PSN as DeadSet88. The other is an Xbox player that only plays Persona. I'm new to BlazBlue (PIcked it up on Black Friday) and I'm mostly a Capcom / Tekken player, but I gave Guilty Gear a lot of work too.

Sorry to keep your curse going though. I'll see if I can track down that FB group, seems like that's used as a spot for meetups mostly these days. Allentown I'd definitely be willing to travel to on occasion - it's about a 90 minute drive from where I am which isn't too bad at all. Capcom fighters are cool, I'm just not any good at them - could be fun though! Which GG we talking also, +R or Xrd? Again, thanks for responding.
AznSpyderman Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I play Xrd (First one I'm actively learning). I CAN play AC+R... but I never bothered learning any mechanics. It was always more of a, "I don't feel like playing Marvel 2 right now" sort of things. Devdan Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Ug, I can't win. I was super super into BB from CT to CSII. I still play it on and off, but not seriously. Mu is fun again in CF and the new characters are cool so maybe I'll get into it again. I gave up on getting anyone into any game I was into and settled for 3S (which I DO really like, but it's so old as to be an impossible uphill battle) a couple years ago because I met one person in college who was crazy good at it (vs no one who cared about anything other than Smash, MvC, Persona or Skullgirls). I'd like to think I've gotten good at it, but randoms online still murder me so whatever~. I beat Tominaga in casuals when he wasn't really trying a couple times. YSB too. Least I can say that. Anyway, I'm in Japan until April. After that it's up in the air if I'll move back to Scranton or not. I'll definitely come back for a little while at least. It seems like the only people in Scranton who like fighters are this one asian guy who hates me and his friends so I double gave up on Scranton. Hopefully you're not him or one of his friends. Also I don't have a car, and we have garbage public transportation. Might move to NYC, even though I kind of hate it there too.

I was super into BB from CT to CSII as well but there wasn't anybody around back then, I only do what I can. Well, if you're ever in the area let me know, maybe we can get something to work out.

LOL I had started up the NEPA FGC in like 2011 and I was the only Asian that ever showed up. We used to play at Adventure games in Dickson City. The whole thing moved to Bethleham/allentown now.

I'm still not really clear on what I did and he refused to elaborate.). If you didn't live here, you're not him. I don't know if he's actually part of any scene, I just know he liked fighting games more than any of my friends did (enough to own arcade sticks anyway).

Devdan Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Thanks. I've been playing fighters less than ever lately though. My internet has been super unstable, though supposedly they fixed it the other day. It seems to be dropping less. Regardless, I don't have Revelator yet since I'm unemployed. They need to add Dizzy already...and her combos better not be stupidly hard. I just used Ky and Faust in Xrd 'cause everyone else I tried was too hard.

Psn thechewbies Xbox jboogie607 mostly likely 2 setups at the local which consist of mostly smash players.
