Silmerion Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) Anyone interested in a big gathering right when +R comes out? I would host.Where do you live? And while we're at it, does +R have a release date? Edited February 4, 2013 by Silmerion
SeriousFace Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I live no the east side of Columbus. It'd be a good middle ground if people from Cinnci and Cleveland decide to come. Tho, arcade legacy would probably be even more better because that place is awesome and has a dick load of tv's right in a row. I think the release date is still some unspecified day this spring.
Circuitous Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I am 100% up for a release day gathering, yes.
Chris Chaos Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Hey guys, I just wanted to stop buy and let you guys know that UFGT9 is a few months away! The link to the thread for the event on Dustloop is located*HERE* It reveals the main games being played and Persona 4: Arena has made it onto the main roster! The Early Bird Registration is still going on and will end March 10th, right now, registration is $30. Normal Registration is from March 11th to May 5th and costs $35. Late Registration is from May 6th to May 19th and it costs $45. Can also register at the door if things get that tight for you. All the information about registration and getting started for registration can be found *HERE*. BlazBlue and Guilty Gear both have received the green light from Keits for side tournaments and I will be running them both, on top of that, at the end of it all, everyone that's involved in our Anime Scene usually heads out to Giordano's for some great Chicago Style Deep Dish pizza! We do this at the end of every big event; we hang out with each other and those who have joined up in the past such as Brandino, AXIS and Miller can tell you, it's worth the trip! I want to make Persona, along with the BlazBlue and Guilty Gear side tournaments as interesting as possible so if you guys can come out and participate, please do! Come hang with us, let's get some games in and eat some Chicago Style Pizza! Please, post in the thread to show that you guys have interest in showing up, ask questions there and if I can't answer them, I'll get with Keits so you guys can get a quick reply. Hope to see you guys there!
AxlRed37 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Do people still gather in the Cleveland area? I'm so tired of playing online anymore. I want to go to like a weekly gathering place, or something to that extent. CC hasn't had an update in quite some time, so I don't even know what's going to happen to that. I'm down to play anything at this point lol, I just want to finally play people offline. Aside from my little brother, I don't know anyone that actually enjoys fighting games. It's a shame really.. well, I hope to hear from someone!
DairyDude Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I'd be down for meeting some new people, I'd like try playing people offline too. I'm mostly playing Persona now, I've messed around with Marvel and SxT, and I'm willing to try anything out.
Circuitous Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 BADC's in 2.5 weeks! It'd be great to have you all come down. $10 venue fee, tournament entry is FREE. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?15764-Buckeye-Airdasher-Circuit-Cincinnati-OH-AH3-and-more%21-3-16-13
744Dante Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Yeah I would love to play offline too and play some casuals
AxlRed37 Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Awesome! Good to hear some people are interested. That tourney sounds fun. Don't know how I'd get there though. I seriously do want to get some kind of weekly casual/tournament type thing going on in Cleveland. Even if it were only like 5-6 people it'd be some offline play, which I'd kill for. When I've got my own place (should be within the next month) it should suffice, but for now, does anyone have a spot that's cool to play at?
744Dante Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Yeah that sounds pretty cool having a offline scene in Cleveland I would go and participate a lot
Koopa_Klawz Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Hey guys. Just an early heads up, Animarathon will be happening in about a couple of weeks. http://animarathon.com/ Hope to see some of you guys there.

It's a shame really.. well, I hope to hear from someone! Hey Axl, Console Combat has been put on hold indefinitely. We just pawned off a good amount of our ASUS Monitors, systems and software to Big E and Shin Blanka for future use for their respective tournaments. However, this doesn't meant that the Northeast Ohio fighting game community's dead. We meet up every Thursday (and other random days) at my friend Manny's, who was the co-organizer and co-founder of Console Combat and their events. We have a handful of the current generation consoles along with a healthy amount of games, so anyone's welcome to join in on the fun! If you have a Facebook, you can introduce yourself here https://www.facebook.com/groups/108496139328964/?fref=ts ; we also have a document you can edit with your gamertag so you can meet up with local people online for good netplay. Hope to see you around, dude! - Blacktastic PS: This goes for anyone in the area who would like to meet up with new people and enjoy the fighting games.
AxlRed37 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 That's EXACTLY what I was trying to set up! lol Well if you guys are already doing it, that's perfect. I'm sure I'll swing by. I cant seem to find exactly where it is on the fb page though. I'll figure it out though. Anyway, glad to see there are still people playing in Cleveland!
DairyDude Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Any time you guys meet up on weekends? I've gone to the CC stream at times and isn't where you guys meet up in Ohio City or somewhere around there? I work on weekdays from 8-5 in Mentor, so I usually don't want to drive to the west side on weekdays. I could try from time to time though.
Waterlemon Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Hi everyone, new guy here. I moved to the Springfield / New Carlisle, OH area not too long ago. Was wondering if anybody was nearby in the area. I've been behind on fighting games, but last I played commonly was BB. But also currently interested in GG, 3S, Skullgirls, P4A, MvC1, etc. To be honest, at this point I'm up for anything. Thanks!

The usual routine is every Thursday, but whenever Manny (the host) feels like it, he'll have a get-together on a Saturday. I can't really say for sure, but you can keep up to date with us on the Northeast Ohio Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/108496139328964/?fref=ts -- Any questions, ask Manny Patron. BADC's in 1.5 days. Anyone making it down? I'll see if people are willing to make the trip. Weeklies are today so I'll ask around. Oops, thought this said 1.5 weeks. This is wayyyy too late. Grendy Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Hey guys does anyone play games in columbus? Im suppose to be ending up there for a week or two on business in the future. can't make any promises I could show up but I'd like to try and play some games while Im out there if I have some free time.
Skye Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Real talk it would be great if Ohio came up for MM. Past experiences show we get along real well in person. We should get Illinois to come up too, get to meet each other before UFGT.

There's actually a pretty decent Columbus scene, you're in luck. Speaking of Columbus, it'd be nice if you guys could come down to BADC this time. June 1st, Arcade Legacy, you know the drill.
