Copper. I am disappointed. Why did you not win?! D:<! It's only a super duper one sided matchup that's annoying as hell to fight against! Just hit him with your controller, or put sleeping pills in his water! D: :psyduck:

It was on an arcade machine and he only ever drinks out of his hip flask.

Nu is so annoying :\ Nice to see him wrecking with that 2B, they're so good with it. How did he do that j2A > 5B > air combo? o_O Does that just have weird timing? I can't seem to get it to work.

Gah, as if I didn't already have enough things to practice. Guess I'll try to learn this too. Would be a great mixup instead of always having to tele behind or away.

@shadow archangel Be more consistent with your defense, you get tagged by a lot of really random crap from tager in the first match, that's the biggest advice to give almost anyone looking to improve. Also a lot of the successful tactics you are using are actually not very good, but are still working because your opponent is also inexperienced. For example j.d, either you're messing up the cloud motion too much, or using j.d way too much, j.d is awful without bug support. Random spider laser super worked out, but doing it out in the open like that is incredibly dangerous(unless you are reacting to something, which you weren't). The aerial super is basically worthless, you got lucky your opponent got hit by it the first time, and the second time he was doing something you could have punished anyways with more damage and less meter. Obviously you've got some combo's to learn, you drop a lot of combos, and get a lot of hits that should lead to combos then you don't follow it up. Also the basketball loop(6a->a bug->6a->a bug etc...) is out dated, you can always get a 6C loop off of anything that gives you basketball loop(epeically since 6a->a bug itself leads to the 6C loop). You also need to back up your clouds better, especially against tager. Sledge is very punishable against arakune if you properly back your clouds up. Instead of trying to keep away after throwing out the homing cloud you should rush in after it, if he tries to sledge you can air dash back cancel into j.b(the downward angled one) and get a combo, if he tries to do his super armor charge up move you can j.d him and you should remain far enough away that his anti air grab can't get you. Also if you have the cloud that floats above their head he cannot anti air grab you, he'll be hit by the cloud before the active frames of the move comes out.

That Haru guy is pretty crazy... I learned some neat things from this, the problem is gonna be remembering to do it all in game D: Also, I totally favorited the second video... I thought I was the only person that taunted while killing people with bugs. New favorite Ara. @tolore - don't knock the guy for using the air super if he's in position, it will finish the round, and he has the meter to spare. If he'd done it early in the round or as an opener or something I'd agree with you, but I think he used it fine, in this case. @Ryo - that Bang is pretty bad. You got all the BnBs down pretty well, and have solid shield pressure too.

@Ryu: recurse instead of midcombo throw @Phantom: Haru doesn't play in any of the videos he just downloads them onto his youtube page. He probably downloads them off of nicovideo

If it'll win the round and if it's GUARANTEED I guess it's alright, but it's a bad habit to get into to use it, as it's only guaranteed when you could do other, better stuff, or it's UTTERLY trash. Unless people you are playing against don't know how to hold up during super flash.

here's some of my vids.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DcAQFx4AdM

My combo level is embarrassing in this one, I had no idea how to pick up combo's off of countrhit dives(and i definitely didn't know how to dive cancel yet). I also do some really stupid stuff like wtf random air spider legs, and random 2a->2c on block, I also don't break a purple throw at one point :(.

here's two more against a hakumen player, I usually lose against him :(.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJwL-tn9J6A

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdEH84cH-q0

I lost and ended up in 5th place, not too terrible.

edit: my combo execution is pretty embarassing in that second one too, I'm a lot more solid with my combo's now.

edit again: actually watching the rest of the video i think i was comboing bad evern for what i normally did back then. I'm gonna blame the 2 hours of sleep and 1 hour car drive it took to get there. My poor v-13 combo's make sense since she's awkward to combo and i hadn't really practiced combo's at that point, but i play h akumen basically constantly i shouldn't have been dropping NEAR that many. Any advice other than 'stop dropping combo's' would be greatly appreciated though!

I have a hard time gauging my own pressure without watching video's, and these are the only videos I have, so I'll have to say I don't know on that one. I also haven't gotten to play since I learned how to dive cancel into 5.b(I can do that consistently in training mode now). edit: I'm really gonna have to say probably yes to the prssure thing though, just because I'm in general better at everything than I was then.

yeah I can't wait to start trying that out in real matches, I imagine it'll take me a little bit to get it down outside of training mode, but it's such a powerful tool. It's also great that 5b does more guard damage than most other moves.

I'm still working on that. In high paced frenzies I still have my 5bs turn into j2Bs or 2Bs. Pad likes to eat my inputs sometimes too :\ P.S. That Haku-men counters like a monster XD
