Wow! thanks everybody! (im seeing that alot people love trinity (myself included...make it happen Arc!!)

Funny that you should say that TD because id actually really like to work there! But who knows...(doesnt help that i'm basically at the opposite end of the world in relation to japan...But i digress...

Well you all seem to be loving them up! (despite barely being able to see them) so i figured id reupload them just for a better shot of them all (broke them into groups of two.) (and if that bores you than send some over other guys to see them! XD *Shameless advertising*)

Probably so, i used the sprite from tao's astral for size reference so...i guess you can blame arc for that one. If he ever does become playable, i guess he'll be pretty hard to fight what with the size. Careful what you wish for i guess? XD

I remember seeing someone's neat fake sprite of jubei fighting noel...his CS art was from his story mode art too. XD

Those sprites are amazing I love how you pull off the Trinity one the most I know that was not easy at all.

It wouldn't, but due to the obvious possibilities for NSFW and seizure-inducing rainbow edits it's probably never, ever going to be in another 2D fighting game again.

Unless, or course, they do it like KOF XIII's, which only let you use specific colors for each part of the sprite.

Yeah NSFW colors would be especially funny on Bullet since one of her victory poses she pulls off her jacket....it'd be like she was ripping her skin off.

Hy all. This is my first post and sorry my bad english.

I made an Aigis desktop mate hardly in test version yet, not optimalized (can be laggy), not many movement etc. yust for show what is it, so be patient pls, it not a big thing yust a fun app, that i made when i was bored, like you all here xd. Try it, it yust run around on your taskbar and shot...it yust a fun app, but if this interest someone then i make it complete. (I was thinking about also if the character are more developed and scripted and if there are more characters they can fight each other in the desktop) but all depends on, is here someone interested in this at all.

They can always make it in a way where you can only see the custom colors locally, or give the option to turn it off.

The funny thing is that you can still make NSFW colors for Yuri and King :v:

How do you guys do the color changes on sprites? I want to try it.

All I know how to do is use the lasso tool in Photoshop and then do some color mixing, but the sprite changes I see here seem cleaner than that.

There are many methods when it comes to palette editing. For example, one method involves playing around with color tables. Another method is using a select tool (any kind will do) to select the area you want to recolor and then using the paint bucket tool, fill in the larger areas followed by the pencil tool, if I'm not mistaken, to change the color in finer areas.

If you select an area to recolor and use the paint bucket tool, you can't really match it to the same shade of the color, can you. You are just picking whatever random color you want which ends up not looking good usually.

I'm terrible at explaining things, but what is it you aren't sure about?

Assuming you know how to get to the color table (I don't know which PS you have, but I'm assuming it's the same for all of them?) it's rather straight forward, just select whatever color you wanna change and use the color picker or I guess if you have some reference you could use the eyedropper to get as close as possible.

I might be able to explain sorta better if there was a specific thing you weren't sure about, or Chao could just do it if he sees this bumped up :v

Time for a lesson! :eng101:

When using indexed color tables, the amount of colors available are limited to what ever colors are in the image/graphic you've decided to use. Once you index the image/graphic, the colors of the image/graphic are organized into a color table and the image/graphic can ONLY use the colors defined in the color table.

Depending on your chosen image editor, the color table would look something like this:

Each # is a color that is available for use in the image/graphic that is indexed in to a slot. There are 16 rows of color slots by 16 columns of color slots, 16 x 16 gives you 256, the total amount of individual color slots you have available at your disposal. Each slot's color can be redefined to change the image/graphic's displayed color and depending on the amount of colors the image/graphic uses, recoloring the image/graphic becomes easy. All that has to be done is redefine the colors in a slot, several slots in a row, or a group of slots across many row and columns and the image is recolored, kind of like Murki said.

Also, depending on the image editor you use the paint bucket and a selection tool can make recoloring sprites a lot quicker than redefining colors.
