furix Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Sorry I had to take off, friends I came with were tired and I was as well. I'll go by tomorrow tho.
furix Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Probably in the afternoon. Friends and I are gonna go to pluckers and other places first.
PozerWolf Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 Shut up Furix, and come to UFO!! Also, yeah... about matches last night. People shouldn't play other players that are THAT much higher in level than them. If I can get away with play with and only throwing you in a entire match, several times, then there's an issue. Especially if I've been doing this for months now. I want to tell Marcell what he's doing wrong, but he doesn't seem to listen... like ever. At this point I give up, and I'll see if he's achieved anything that I've informed him, and once he's taken at least one thing I've said into consideration then I'll think about his game and give it another chance. Until then, Marcell well never improve, from what it seems. Welp, time for SF4!!

Yeah, I agree, there's an issue if someone can't tech throws or jump out of them or something. But I don't think anyone should ever stop playing because of it. That's the worst thing anyone can do. If someone always waited for someone of 'their level' to come around and play, then they'd hardly ever get any matches in at all. Yeah, their efforts may be futile time and time again, but until they are intrinsically discouraged, there's no reason they should stop playing. Now, I won't say that this is without exception. If someone is completely and utterly new to BlazBlue (or perhaps fighting games in general) and they're going up against one of us, then of course they should probably not play. But in our circle here, there's not really anyone who's at that level. In the end, no matter how annoying or troublesome they may be, just let people fight you, Pozer. For someone like you, others may seem hopeless sometimes, but don't tell others to give up.
Zeron_X25 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 You should all learn from Star-Demon. He deals with this shit every day.
Scottie Yosh Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I heard its someones birthday today :o Happy birthday Pozer, may your income of gummies increase 1000%!! I'll be at ufo later. Welp, time for KOF!! ^^
MetalMaelstrom Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Pozer!!! Why didn't you tell me?! If you want me to bake something for you when I get back, just ask.

furix Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Anybody can give me a ride from the hotel super 8 to ufo?
PozerWolf Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 Yup, it's my Birth day, not sure what I'm gonna do yet ;o Eh. More or less not true. Yeah, I agree, there's an issue if someone can't tech throws or jump out of them or something. But I don't think anyone should ever stop playing because of it. That's the worst thing anyone can do. For someone like you, others may seem hopeless sometimes, but don't tell others to give up. No one should play others that are THAT much higher level than their opponent. This leads to very, very bad habits in there game and in the long run hurts their play. Marcell is a great example of that, as how he started early we warned him not to play Hsien, but he wouldn't stop even though Marcell was new to the game. It shows now, as his 'bad habits' are not permanent and his play style is very predictable and throws himself in fake yomi situations that cost him the game... in the long run there's no way he can improve now. If you see no progression in like... 2 years, then yeah you should give up. A wise man once told me this: If you're not thinking, then you shouldn't be doing it. You always need to be thinking when doing something you love in order to be good at it. FlameIce and Marcell are not thinking... ever... at all... I'll be hosting a tourney at my place Sunday the 22nd with a moderate cash pot, feel free to bring baked goods. Can't make it, that's the day of the Killeen tournament. http://shoryuken.com/forum/index.php?threads/jan-28-2012-central-texas-brawl-iii-ft-hood-killeen-500-bonus-pot-killeen-tx.147529/
