WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, ITS MOTHERFUCKING JEDI MASTER KISARAGI. Also, I'd rather like to have the pictures in glorious high resolution, if its possible. EDIT: Uh, so many unused bugs for Arakune, also, Ragna was supposed to transform into the black beast in his astral, lets hope he does in CS, or in the next game.

They also have the perfect pose for Sekkajin..i was struggling with how to handle that.... One of Litchi's concepts is...ughh slutty to say the least. I need to buy this book myself..i can't be a BB fan and not have this.

Alright, here comes some more translations, this time from pages 138-139:

Teach Me, Ms. Litchi!

Setting Episode

Posted Image "Ka-gut-suchi" is too biiig, mew. Tao nyalways gets lost when she goes for a walk. Tao's gonna starve to death before she finds that "Rawrgna," meoooow...

Posted Image You'll never become a vigilante if you don't learn your way around. So, I'll explain the structure of Kagutsuchi and all the places in the setting of BlazBlue. Tao, are you paying attention?

The fourteen different stages scattered throughout "Kagatuschi"

As a consequence of the Dark War, "seithr" spread across the lands. Seithr was a necessity for mankind, but became toxic in high concentrations. Therefore, man founded cities high in the mountains where the seithr was relatively thin. The setting of this story, "Kagutsuchi," is a Hierarchical City located on a mountain range. The combined size of Kagutsuchi's layers is comparable to the Tokyo Metropolitan area. Even now it's continually expanding, and as such is referred to as the "Incomplete City."

Found at Kagutsuchi's peak, the "Novus Orbis Librarium" branch in Kagutsuchi is responsible for protecting the peace. The wealthy live in the highest layers. The lowest layers are home to the poor, and the native inhabitants of the region live in the central layers. Where one lives depends on their social status. Furthermore, these sorts of Hierarchical Cities are scattered all over the world. Refer to page 133 of the glossary for a compiled list of the Hierarchical Cities. Additionally, the names of the Hierarchical Cities originate from the pantheon of Japanese mythology. Check into this if you're interested and I'm sure you'll find it fascinating.

※The 13th Hierarchical City "Kagutsuchi"

[ 1] port AM10:30

Posted Image

A place resembling an airport that connects Kagutsuchi and the other Hierarchical Cities. An airship known as an Ark Navimagus [unofficial localization] is seen in the background of the stage, moving around.

[ 1] port PM21:00

Posted Image

The port at night. It's also known by the nickname "Fifth Avenue." There are other similar-looking streets, but Fifth Avenue is smaller in scale than most.

[ 2] Orient town

Posted Image

A town where poor people have congregated. It's extremely lively, but large quantities of seithr seep in due to its proximity to the lower layers. Litchi lives here.

[ 3] Cathedral #1

Posted Image

A cathedral. It's the location of the Novus Orbis Librarium branch in Kagutsuchi, and there's a magnificent giant statue of a goddess in the stage's background.

[ 3] Cathedral #2

Posted Image

An exclusive stage for the consumer edition, in which the praetorian guards on the stairs to the right are missing. Don't you think this should be the one that Ragna invades?

[ 4] Halloween

Posted Image

A mysterious place somewhere in the world. It's the Alucard castle where Rachel lives (with Nago, Gii, and Valkenhayn).

[ 4] Requiem

Posted Image

An exclusive stage for Ragna vs Rachel. Unlike Rachel's normal stage, the roses blooming all over the place are pure white instead of red.

[ 5] lost town

Posted Image

Taokaka's home, a place also known as the Kaka clan's village. Though it's located in the lowest layer of the city, the Kaka clan's potent vitality isn't affected by the seithr.

[ 6] RONIN GAI

Posted Image

Built by refugees from Ikaruga, it's a town with Japanese-style taste. The bridge was constructed over a lower layer of Kagutsuchi where nobody lived.

[ 7] AREA 28

Posted Image

A gathering place for residual seithr, people illegally dump "trash" here. The NOL apparantly doesn't want to get involved... It's what lies beneath Kagutsuchi's beautiful facade.

[ 8] THE GATE

Posted Image

The deepest part of Kagutsuchi. It can be reached by descending in a hidden NOL elevator. Hakumen was waiting for Ragna here.

[ 8] SHEOL GATE AD2199/12/31

Posted Image

The Gates of Sheol. These are located beneath each Hierarchical city, and when the "tempering" of Nu's shell is completed the whole device activates, opening the gate.

[ 9] Train

Posted Image

An exclusive stage for the consumer edition. It has a different atmosphere from other areas in Kagutsuchi, and the stage is cluttered with mechanical structures.

[10] Circus

Posted Image

The circus. An exclusive stage for the consumer edition, there are gizmos in the stage that actually work as time passes. A variety of dolls will start moving around.

Posted Image That's a lotta places Tao hasn't been to... Neow that I learned about all of 'em, I can go home to the village and eat dinner, meow. Everybody be careful so you don't get lost in Ka-gut-suchi too, meooow!

Did anyone notice that weird freakish giant whale fish thing in that Train level? It hovers behind the trains, looking at you with its several eyes. What the heck is that?

Posted

^Agreed. Monorail is my favorite stage. Fighting atop a moving monorail a hundred feet off the ground from day to night while being followed by a giant flying gentically altered whale? Simply epic. Thanks for these, had a blast looking through them. Litchi's concepts were yucky, guess there is a such thing as TOO much cleavage. Was Ragna holding Dante's Rebellion in one of the gag sketches?

It kinda reminds me of Sin from Final Fantasy X.

What the heck? I second the notion that Jin's early sketches look weird, light sabres make me lol and the second top middle one says no all over

lol, my copy of the book come yesterday:kitty:, i was expecting it until the next week :P

Isn't Monorail Ragna's new stage in CS? The very first BB console Video i saw was Ragna VS Jin (on IGN) and they fought on Monorail and I'm like..this has gotta be Ragna's stage.

Posted

No that stage you just described was Terumi's stage, Ragna now has Monorail...where he was sleeping at the beginning of his story.
