Litchi:

・6D- advantage on block, links into B on hit, forced standing, air hit floats. cannot cancel into super.

B>C>6D>B

B>2C>6D>B

・4D- similar to loc test 1.

4D>發>中 is 1500 damage.

・3C- can jump cancel, but since she has the staff it will be low air (i guess litchi players will know what that means)

・Tsubame- recovery is the same as now. harder to link into 6c. more scaling. cannot rapid cancel

:yaaay: I didn't like the changes to tsubame looks like they undid most of them at loke test 2. 6D- a decent pressure string with manten on!?!?! blasphemy! :keke:

people gave up on her =(

I dont see why they decided to (imo) nerf her so hard, shes not really spectacular at anything. Maybe coz there were 2 litchis in top 8 for SBO (or 4, i forget)?

honestly...the buffs seem much greater than the nerfs, it's already confirmed that 5C[M]->6D->5B works...which means you can probably do something like

5B->2C->6C 5Cotg jBCD dash BC land staff 2 6C

or maybe 5B->haku-> chun->5B jBCD etc...

assuming that 6D sets the staff for ground trajectory

also wondering how long the hang time for the air hit on 6D is...I'm sure there'll be some thing interesting come of it....maybe it'll be useable like we use 6C tsubame 6C after staff2?...it seems like it comes out reallly quick (at least as fast as 41236D~C since it combos from 5C[M])

and if 4D hatsu chun works...haku chun will probably also work...which also means depending on staff trajectory you'll probably get a 3300 combo off it

also...I wonder if they've changed staff trajectories

granted this is all speculation...but it seems some of you are only looking at litchi as she is now and removing the good things without putting in the possibly AWESOME things

an awesome thought occured to me...is 6D cancellable? 6D->ippatsuB~A? god that'd be powerfull even if only on close air hit

edit: final note....3C ittsuC is definitely sex

sounds like their upping her mix up game in exchange for not-so-amazing corner oki. i dig it

I think they mentioned 6d wasn't super/special cancelable in the most recent loke test. I'm interested to know if the trajectory for staff set is the lower one on 6d also. One of the ways I use 3c besides combo is when its blocked to go into shishin that covers Litchi as she dashes in, only possible with the low trajectory staff set. So I hope something like that remains, I just don't think 3c manten return needed to be nerfed...the midscreen 3c iad combos were what initially attracted me to Litchi.

3C[m] return wasn't very strong since staff had such little block/hitstun (outside CH of course). Hopefully you can replicate the 6A[m] > 2D stuff with 4D, that'd be sweet.

Small update: - The pushback off of 6D on block is about the same as on hit. It's at a range that staffless 5B will reach. - No confirmable changes to staffless Litchi. The guy said although he hasn't tested every little detail, there appeared to be no changes at first glance. Primer break moves that he confirmed: - IttsuB - 6C[m] - 6D 2nd hit He wasn't able to test (get someone to block) Ryuuiisou himself so it's not on this guy's confirmed list but he makes a note of this.

And to think i really was just hoping for a high-low mixup that went somewhere and a tad more damage. Guess i was hoping too much. Really though, it's difficult to see where this character is going because nerf or buff. Other characters are getting nerfed and buffed as well.. so the match-ups most likely will be different this time around. I just don't want slayer to somehow find his way into the BlazBlue world and into my game... like he's actually Rachel's dad or something ridiculous like that :p haha

New Noel v Litchi vid. It didn't seem like he really used 6d or since all the moves looked familiar. ItsuuB looked super sexy though, no longer needing CH to connect both hits and leading into a combo. Looks like most of her combos are now going to be launching with 2c,3c,kote,2b,2c after either itsuub or 6d. Can also see why tsubame doesn't work for combos.

Ryoko posted 2 unconfirmed combos that seemed legit, but I it has the Japanese symbols instead of move names so I can only guess.

She seemed like she had a much better midscreen game in exchange for her corner game.

also the first hit of staffless 6C is special cancelable, good stuff. I had my doubts at the beginning but litchi seems pretty solid right now, at least she can still OTG with tsubame

the staff seems to have longer untechability when its returning, if you notice, in the noel vs litchi video the staff hits and he is able to combo Itsuu C afterwards, I tried to reproduce that in CT and its not possible, so either my execution sucks today or they changed it She also has a winpose against noel. Its the same winpose she had against Bang in CT (the one apologising) and yes, you can special cancel 3C [m]

I'm sure they'll find a new way to knockdown, one guy had a pretty good idea but went into rekka ender instead. EDIT: Diveman that doesn't exist in CT except on air CH.

Are you guys sure all green was slowed down still looks instant 2 me. Also is it still possibel to do otg 5c, tsubame, jc kote gaeishi, jc , staffless 3c in the corner?

ok so, its official that the staff has more untechability time when it hits

Well, he never tried the j.c ender so that may work. He'd also have knockdown with staff in hand by simply omitting the tsubame most of the time, and that isn't such a bad thing when staff super seems to be a much better choice for oki than kokushi. Litchi's staff game also got quite a bit better with 6d allowing semi-safe string finishes and also transitioning into her staffless mix game.

I'm still wondering if 6a[m] and 6c[m] manten return states got changed at all. 6c doesn't look like the staff stays out there very long but I don't think he ever tried anything off it.

Pretty sure they could tech before they get in range of 3c. If the j.c kote ender doesn't do it I doubt you'll be able to get them on the ground with staff down without giving up a decent amount of damage.

Yea, I was thinking the jC kote as the ender ever since that new techable time.

What about the new combo with kote in the first hit of 6C, think there's possibilities for Riichi combos in there? It looks like the staff is placed pretty close to the opponent.

6C kote loops?

wonder if 6D can be cancelled from 6C...or 4D...could probably do something from that

Posted

well its confirmed that second hit of 6c After tsubame is techable, so could you just do 6C>tsubame>3C?

why? if 6c is special cancalable that probably gives you more options than grounding them would.

Maybe in the corner, midscreen looks like the staff ends up behind you. In corner might be able to 5b,5c(1hit),itsuuB,6c(1hit),kote6,hatsu,riichiA or something.

I don't think 6d->6c or 4d->6c will work since it sounds like 6d isn't cancellable at all and probably doesn't give enough +frames to link to 6c. 4d sounds like it only cancels into hatsu.
