How're we feeling about Jam?

She seems like she has better-than-typical neutral than expected from a character of the archetype and tons of reward for being right. Her reversal's really nice and you always have 50 meter in Strive. I guess her pressure is kind of gimmicky and has telegraphed points at which you can mash, but she becomes a monster with cards even in that respect.

Her animations are some of the best work Arcsys have done. Giving her the kung fu soup/oro turtle with Usagi is really enlightened for making her animtion suite more interesting.

 

I can't attest to her gameplay, but visually they killed it.

I got hit by 2S into card Ryuujin in neutral round 3 and died immediately, then stared at my screen wondering where it all went wrong for at least two minutes. So I think she's basically the same as always.

Yeah, I love her visual design. I'm honestly fairly mixed on Strive redesigns. I don't like May, Ky, Testament, or Faust, but Jam is wonderfully animated and designed.

I'm going to say it, I think she is broken. Specifically, TK BRC on her is absolutely busted due to how carded Ryuujin works.

You can do c.S jc 66BRC j.K lc 9 j.SHD lc 2K > en236K WB for ludicrous damage on a gapless 50/50. For the low option, you get 2K > 5[D] into full combo (not hitconfirmable but still insanely good)

I think since she doesn't need meter as much as most of the cast in neutral and she can spend it on genuinely messed up options when she does get in, she'll do really well in the current meta. Corner Gekirin safejumps like OTG 2H > 214K~6S and meaty safejabs with en236K are also super strong with reversal PRC being dead in the water. I'm going to try and get her to Vanquisher tomorrow by crutching TK BRC, I'll report back here if I make it lol

I haven't played too much of her yet, but her neutral seems very ignorant with having two full screen moves one of which is a low profile, and I think it's annoying how much range her reversal super has.

H.265 codec. It's how I keep the file size down, but I may need to swap it out.

If you are on an up to date browser on a Windows 11 install or MacOS, it should have the codec built-in. Old OSes or mobile might be missing it, or older Windows installs in general

Well, she's not my kind of character but she is definitely quite good I would say. TK BRC is super strong, I just didn't really use card stocking at all (her base strike/throw is insanely good for what it is).
