  1. I saw someone point out that the last time they added a character late into CF's life (Jubei) it was followed soon by the BBTAG announcement, so BBTAG 2 would be omega funny
  2. I'm worried that this will come with a balance patch, but otherwise this is pretty cool
  3. Restrictive movement options in an anime aesthetic game with a lot of the offensive threat being centralized and homogenized, leaning towards simple strike/throw that has massive reward. A lot of design around very weighted RPS situations at all levels of play. It comes out feeling like a lot of characters play too similarly for my taste so gameplay variety suffers a bit.

  6. The assumption is that all characters have been revealed and the last 2 mystery fighters are just avatar state aang and avatar state korra going off the current state of things that have been shown, i think i'll either play Aang or Sokka but i'm looking forward to what they do with Zaheer

I kind of just pick it up every now and then just because it's a gear-adjacent thing that is popular and some people play. 2.0 definitely feels like the best state the game's been in as a casual dabbler. I much prefer xrd and +r overall, and outright avoid other "simple" FGs like Granblue VS Rising because they just remind me too much of season 1-2 strive on a metatextual level

  12. If you're familiar with shimmies, it's an effective method to bait both throw tech attempts and her parry. The active window isn't huge and she's in recovery for quite a bit on whiff too. You can even make her think you'll safejump but just empty jump and walk backwards instead. That said, you're still kind of guessing to some degree besides reading player habits and conditioning them. Its a bit easier to deal with on block since you can use true-strings with lows to target the 236 input, or even do pressure with an 11f+ gap that will automatically bait parrying gaps and probably late guard cancel parry also.
